for everyone that hates it, there are those who don't, and then there are those who are indifferent.
I get more of the feeling that those that hate it suffer from stupid teammates. -

Quote:yeah noAs of the patch today when you are given a fortune you have to accept it again, seems like a retrograde step and to make things interesting you now have a graphic show when it's cast on you which stops you in your tracks for about 3-5 seconds which earlier today got my wife killed in a mission.
Wonder if this is intended? Has anyobe seen todays patch notes?
her idiot teammate got her killed -
Warrior option still missing from Female Bottoms

I've gotten used to it, but they could of just kept the old UI and just fixed the enhancement categories to be in ABC order.

Quote:Energy Melee...There is some I agree with here.
EM they really need to give TF the thunderstrike treatment Full damage to target and aoe spash damage. EM is not that bad of a set, it is just hurt by too many slow single target attacks.
EA was underbuffed. To me they should of given EA energize, like they did ELA. They should of combined the passives and add end drain resists to it. Then add an aoe knock up power like ice patch, called energy field where any targets that walk on it get knocked up, or it could be some sort of taunt aura, as long as the set's taunt is not connected to it's heal. Just as long as the sets only taunt is not in it's heal, after all if you need a heal, why do you want to make everything around attack you.
From doing Crimson Revenant's (believe that's his name) arc, BAB's Total Focus is a PbAoE, can't remembe if his ET is though...but I can see a change where ET is sorta like Chain Induction, but it's more of a straight forward jump and not bounce around.
Energy Aura...
Energy Drain - I would like this power to be a combination of Dark Regeneration and Energy Absorption, though would probably see a recharge increase since it would offer +heal, +end and +def.
Dampening Field and Energy Protection - I agree with combining these but also make them defense based (somewhere between 5-8%) but with keeping the Neg/Energy Resistance
Much like Ice Armor's capped resistance to Ice, I think all of EA's toggles should incorporate resistance to Neg/Energy, it doesn't have to be capped resistance like Elec/Fire/Ice Armor, but decently high, maybe in the 60-70% range
So...32% (this includes slotting Energy Cloak) Def to S/L/N/E, 23% Def to F/C and 60-70 Res to Energy/Neg
With there being a open power slot after combining two of the passives, I think a new power could also be an attack, since EA is all about manipulating energy...why not a repel type move that functions as a click attack, a mini Nova is you will. Concept is taking the enemies energy and turning it back on them, so it would debuff their damage and drain their end, but to make it more effective, the damage it deals won't be based off x-number of targets.
Quote:Fire I am not to familiar with, but it's immob protection should be moved to another power. A tank shopuld not have to scatter everything just for a minor protection. As far as knockback, it is annoying, but it is a common hole that is easily filled. -
Quote:Crafted -> Otherokay I give up- where the heck are the crafted generic IOs in this stupid thing?
I was looking to gratuitously overpay for some level 50 recharges last night but could not find them anywhere. I ended up saving myself a couple of million inf by wasting valuable gaming time buying stacks of salvage and hitting the base to make my own.

Quote:just about every power set share similar animationsThe only issue I have with Broad Sword is the brain-hurting realization that it uses the exact same animations as are seen in Battle Axe and War Mace. (excepting Parry, of course.)
I haven't been able to stand any of those sets since... -_-;
...
Yes, it's petty and foolish. I can't help it. Most of those animations just look more 'ponderous' than 'powerful' to me, and trying to wrap my mind around using the same motions for fighting with a sword, an axe, and a mace... yeah...
It's a personal peeve, but it is the reason why I can't stand an otherwise completely successful character anymore...
whirling sword/mace/axe/hands and fire/ice sword circle
haymaker, havoc punch, bone smasher, seismic smash, air superiority
incandescent strike, total focus, thunder strike, tremor
War Mace, Battle Axe, Broad Sword, all blunt weapons you'd use to maim your enemy with, they're not supposed to be flashy and pretty. -
Quote:just to name a few of mine off the top of my head...There are enough generic anime ripoffs running around CoX. Please, for the love of God, stop ruining the genre. Some of us anime fans take it in moderation, but rabid fan-freaks ruin our reputation. If I see another hero/villian with a name taken out of an online Japanese/English dictionary, I swear I'm gonna do something relatively unpleasant.
Lord Raikou (elec/sd scrap)
Sora Megami (cold/ice def)
Sora Yagami (storm/dark def)
got a problem? -

yes, but those other ATs also have access to Build Up or Rage
while FE is nice, I do miss having some ToHit buff to go along with it like BU and Rage
aside from Breath of Fire, I'm rather "meh" on Dominator cone attacks, with their only other good AoE being one that puts them in melee. -
I actually use "I play with smart people who ask" philosophy, still it's sad that some people make something good turn out bad.

Quote:well they do have different arachnos guns you can pick from, imo the one with the longer barrel isn't so badIf they didn't force us to take the damn spider guns, I could just roll a SoA and run him through via Praetoria when GR comes out...
As it is, thats not an option, sadly. As I like the Arachnos gun set MUCH better than AR. Yes, even without the mini-nuke. Full Auto is cool, but it kinda just tips the balance for a set with too much Lethal damage that seems to punish you at later levels without some -res around.
From playing my blaster and corrupter, maybe the Blaster/Defender version of Flamethrower could be front loaded damage, but I think the Corrupter version is fine due to Scourge. It's end cost could be fixed...maybe reduced to Total Focus/Thunder Strike end cost (18.5)
edit: unless the Mid's numbers are off...just noticed Corrupter and Defender versions of Flamethrower are slightly cheaper on the end...not that much though... -

Quote:yeah I was solo, still odd I got all the other rewards though....would of figured my rad/fire blaster did enough damage >.>The same thing happened to me when I was solo. You have to be on a team that does enough damage to get the badge. Not sure if that's what happened to you, but I thought I'd add that to the discussion. I was kind of curious if badge credit would work a bit differently for a zoned GM encounter.

hrm...I don't remember getting a badge for Lord of Winter, though I got the inf, merits and candy canes

nice! I've seen Shred Monkey with a similar build, crazy what it can do!

there needs to be someone in the back shouting "show us ur bewbs!"
