A new Booster pack with Arabian Fantasy in mind to include:

Flying carpet travel power and carpet customization. Variants include decorative carpet, fire, ice, rock, and tech board.
New costume options to include a variety of turbans with plumes, head wraps, vales, sashes, vests and other attire sutable for the genre.
New sword costume options to include Scimitars, khopeshes, kilij, and saifs.
New emotes to include crystal ball reading, snake charm, belly dance, and whirling dervish dance.

The flying carpet stuff may not happen until power pool customization. Some of this stuff seems possible

I like the basic premise, though I don't necessarily agree that it should be a booster pack, just the costume items.

However, you do know that scimitars and khopeshes are in the game now, right?

There are other versions of scimitars and khopeshes they could bring in. The scimitar they currently have is more of a shamshir.

That I can see happening, and would be happy to see and buy =]

I wouldnt buy it in all honesty, the carpet power seems nice but the costume pieces wouldnt really interest me much because theres not much really fantastic superhero costumes you can really do with it as far as im concerned.

It is a nice idea though and some players would probably buy it, i just cant see it being one of the popular ones. I think people would much rather see more animal based parts for example, particularly fishmen and stuff because there limited in game as it is.

I think there's plenty of room in the spandex crowd for a nice selection of sashes. Just ask this guy:

I can probably also make good use of a short vest, such as that used by Disney's Alladin, especially if it had a few trim options and was able to layer over spandex or shirt.

Well for the short vest, theres already one on female models, theres no option for males though, i see your point with that.

My point being though, aside from a flying carpet power I dont think a lot of players would buy it just for a selection of turbans and sashs etc, it lacks anything super about it. You may as well just have a civilian pack with a load of regular costume parts in, that might sell.

Going to have to vote for Victorian long before I vote for Arabian, but I fully support all costume additions.

I really want to see a victorian pack, too.

I support this idea. I have tried to make an Arabian character but it is not AT ALL easy with the costume pieces we have now!

Better?

That implies that we already have one. I could be mistaken, but I don't remember ever seeing one, and I have looked. Several times.

Nice reference to MtG. I chuckled.

funny thing was, when dual blades and weapon customization were coming out, we were discussing the difference, and i couldnt find a standard definition between the two. the broadsword sword is more of a fanciful take on a scimitar rather than a real looking one(i had jokingly called it the popeye scimitar, after a well known episode of the popeye cartoon where he fought in the arabian nights setting) whereas the dual blades ones looked more like the photos i could find for both scimitars and samshirs, its basically a saber, same principal as the cutlass or the katana.

ok non sword nerd related discussion, yeah, id buy it, i have a genie themed character who right now has a grand total of one costume..a near heresy for me. so more regional costumes for me would kick butt. arabian nights, indian(both native american and eastern), chinese(i continue to want my freaking cheongsam, and will continue to misspell it till i get it) mayan , take your pick. the whole justice league extended heroes setting justified the costume themes, and while i appreciate the martial arts pack, samurai armor and issue 4, but i always want more.

yo gg, did you ever play guild wars? the third expansion, nightfall, had an amazing middle eastern setting, and that is NOT just deserts really,it can be really visually amazing if coh were to do a extended world setting (something i have been bugging for for a long time) you'd see a happy rian. of course i want a Japanese zone first..but we all figured that already, right?

As the owner of two Arabic characters, I endorse this idea. Not sure about the Flying Carpet bit, seems a little too stereotypical for my liking. But good ideas so far.

wouldnt argue about that, would prefer it actually, but less recognizable to the average Americans than Japanese.

the second freedom force game had a character that used it, and since that was one of the very few superhero games to avoid the superhero curse, i think we can accord it some respect. this game gives so much freedom of character concept, honestly i'd be hesitant to dismiss any suggestion just based on the limits of my own imagination.

Did it..didnt know that....but by all means if the people behind it can work it perfectly into the game as a hero/villain theme..then by all means go for it, it does sound like a nice thing but im just being reserved atm.

I like it, but would bet the devs would say the carpet animation would be to difficult. Perhaps a magic lamp power with genie that grants 1 of 3 wishes. Double's either power, money, or random IO reciepe.

With this power, it would have to be something along the lines of a 6 hour in game recharge timer. Once this power was activated, no other characters could use it until the 6 hours had elapsed.

The power and money wish would last for 1 hour of game time.

So would I but if I remember correctly there was a suggestion at some point in the old EU forums that got a mention from devs that it would be very unlikely we would get any real anime style stuff other than a few armor pieces, simply because it doesnt fit with the theme of the game since its based on western comic looks.

Which is a shame
