  1. Radiation Emission, Cold Domination, Kinetics and Empathy all have AoE or otherwise readily available +recovery or +end powers. Pain Domination also has +recovery but it's limited to a single target most of the time. -Res and +Dam can also be considered friendly to your DPE, so you can attack less and still be efficient.
  2. AHH MY EYES!

    It's like someone took a picture of a shirt from Google and then hired a 6-year old to decorate it with MS Paint, and then some malicious Photoshopper turned the saturation way up.

    No offense, but those are really ugly shirts. Those colors just don't combine! The logo doesn't look as bad on a pure black or pure white tee, but brown? Forest green? Ugh.

    I think it's this. The chasis would obviously define the direction the tank is moving, but what would happen when the target is facing 90 degrees to the side? With current implementation I'd see the whole tank (the turret and the chasis) turning to the target (which would look about as ridiculous as the conscious generators).

    I can't think of a power that wouldn't make the whole character turn, be it location or target baset.

    I'd like to see tanks in game however, maybe even as temporary powers where you'd turn yourself into a tank (similarly to the old shivan shard temp power, giving you powers of a Shivan).
  4. I like the Electric Armor set. It's a set that fits many concepts, except for the final power that totally hides your costume for three minutes. I know it's supposed to make you "living electricity", but can't I have my costume visible too? Aren't the costume options supposed to be a strength of this MMO? Can't I be an energized force of destruction without looking like a Scooby Doo villain?




    Cloak of Darkness in Dark Armor got this treatment, so it should be possible for Electric Armor too. Actualle there should be even more reason to make this possible, as now Power Surge (and its variation, Surge of Power) is now, thanks to profileration, accessible to 6 Archetypes: Brutes, Tankers, Scrappers, Stalkers, Blasters and Dominators. When we're talking about 60% of the core Archetypes, it's very much worth spending development time in.

    Just to bust one argument against this, "that it's not possible because it changes your model". Power Surge doesn't change your model. Granite and the Kheldian form powers do. You can customize Power Surge's colors for that reason.

    As you can see, Granite Armor has a function "Set costume to ROCKSUIT", while CoD and PS only give Translucency. Your costume is still there, just invisible. It's not changed models. Just invisibility. If it could be fixed for Cloak of Darkness, it can be fixed for Power Surge too.

    No, I don't know the game's code, and I'm not a coding expert. All I want is an option not to look like a level 10 enemy that hangs around the Orange Pipes of Doom.

  5. You can still have an attack on auto (targeting on the corpse), so as soon as the enemy resurrects, you'll hit with that attack. You probably can't continue attacking immediately (unless you pulled off a Total Focus or something), but it saves time.

  7. Spore Burst works fine. Sometimes you do get unlucky and miss the same Hero twice, but it's not like you don't have 7 other villains backing you up? Communication is key.

  10. Eh, I think that's because of their description which states that accidents happen (they don't, really). It's an ingame justification why police drones aren't everywhere. They just pwn everything; there would be no need for heroes.

  13. Many people don't notice -Def on teams because there is no "You hit but you would've missed if it wasn't for this Def debuff!"-message above the enemies' heads.
  14. If the power has the tag "This power's effects are not affected by buffs", it won't be affected by PB. Sometimes the tag is needed so you won't boost your +res by having a lot of damage buffs (like beta WoP or beta HPT).

  16. Dual Scrappers is fun. Competition on who gets the most kills is a minigame on its own, but when a greater threat arises you can combine your powers for great justice.

  19. The new zones have at least some meaning for made areas, but the old zones feel like they were made big for the sake of big. I can imagine Jack Emmert sitting on his chair, head tilting by the force of his "vision" that the players would wow at the "vast explorable areas" that just consist of copy-paste work with some bumps for "variation". Exploration is meaningless because you already know that behind that lowres rock there is nothing but same dull empty areas, and maybe a CoT spawn. Whoo, immersive.

  21. Maybe MoLRSF could be done with inspiration abuse?

    Om nom nom reds, om nom nom oranges, om nom nom purples (if not softcapped):

    8 Stalkers with damage capped AS would do 10121.8 damage total to a +3 Hero, assuming they all hit and the Hero has no resistances. After the initial strike, scrap a little bit under the protection of oranges/purples. Hopefully with a 31% crit rate, the target will be dead before the inspirations run out.

    Repeat for each Hero.

    It's hard to explain this, but I'll try my best.
    If an ST melee attack recharges in 8 seconds, it will most likely Bonesmasher/Haymaker damage. Both of those do respectable DPA.

    If Kinetic Melee also has a 8-second ST melee power, it will most likely deal the same sort of damage as Haymaker/Bonesmasher does. Except that you will be waving your arms for a long time. I can't make out which move on the video would be that, but that set looks to be filled with them.

    Unless the powers break the rules like the old PSW or are given Dominator treatment of high recharge/damage/endurance versions of powers, then the set will be low DPA. How likely can you see that happening?

    I did go "oooh aaah" on the video, but I think Silverado is right. Unless the set has other remeeding qualities, it will 'suck' from a min-maxer's perspective. Many don't see the extra range and KB as good advantages, so yeah. All show and no go.
