Dear Positron,

Good afternoon. Thank you for responding to our questions for more information about Issue 13.

And on a side note. Please fix the store so that I can purchase Booster Packs for other players as gifts. I'd like to purchase 10 or so of these for my friends that also play. Plus I'd like to give you my money to help with the development of my favorite game. However, since I only have 1 account and I can't very well purchase 10 Cyborg Packs for 1 account then I guess that I'll have to keep the money that I would have liked to have given to your company.

P.S. Rocket Pack costume items please.

Thank You.

Dear Peregrine Falcon,

Thank you for your feedback. We would LOVE to come up with a way for players to "gift" our Super Boosters to other players. The real problem with this lies in credit card fraud. It may seem like a simple problem, but it's really very complex. Once we have a workable solution that Billing and Customer Service can sign off on, we will allow players to gift Microtransactions post haste.

Yes, yes, Rocket Packs are on Sexy Jay's todo list, I just am not exactly clear on when they will be done.

Hope this clears things up for you a little bit.

[/ QUOTE ]

Have you thought about using NCCoin, or maybe using the PlayNC game time cards in some way to make this sort of content available?

Maybe make the game time cards transferrable into a sort of e-money credits used to purchase the add-ons.

I, frankly, am very disappointed.

In the time it took you to compose that coherent and well-spoken message, we could have had I13, bug fixes, new Self Destruction icon pictures, 17 new costume pieces, Power Customization, Universal Power Proliferation, and a nice cappucino.

For Shame! WORK HARDAH!

/sarcasm off

Thanks Posi. I have had to physically restrain myself several times this week from posting another 'stupid' "So, can we get more I13 info?" thread. Looking forward to more, as soon as you can get it to us.

There are a few of us that just want to PLAY the game and not neccessarily make missions.

[/ QUOTE ]

Once the fan base starts making missions you will have many new missions to choose from. If you're interested in lots of content, you should be rooting for this feature, not denigrating it.

You have to remember how long it takes to make new content -- even in a sizable release a player can crank through the new missions in just a few hours. While a lot of the player-made missions will be cookie-cutter copies of existing missions, I'm sure that certain resourceful individuals will be able to coax very interesting missions out of the system.

I hear ya, but I for one have been waiting for a Zig type mission (TF) hero side since launch. Just the idea that I might be able to to create a mission or series of missions for my hero to stop Paragon's worst criminals from re escaping(sp?) is worth the wait, for me at least, 4+ years, I can wait a couple of more months.

Anyone else notice that this announcement came after the Booster Pack came out?

I hope that the sales of the Booster Pack is through the roof (as it should be. Props to JLove & BABs for some great stuff), and they are able to throw something else that's awesome into the game.

EDIT: Darn spelling.

Seems like it would be simple enough...instead of the Booster Pack automatically being tagged to the account, it just gives the activation code. That way, the player can use the code or give it away as a gift, or even as a Costume Contest award.

I know the whole "CC Fraud" part would be more complicated, but maybe putting a 24-48 hour delay to claim any codes after the first one could be implemented. That gives the CC company time to notify the card holder. Or maybe put instructions on the site how to request from the CC companies to allow the transations to go through. That would be similar to informing them you will be traveling out of the country and to allow transactions in certain areas (not flagging for possible fraud).

It's very typical as the merchant to not be notified that a purchase from you was fraudulent for well over 30 days.

I think the mission creator will be great and add way more variety to the game.

Some posts have expressed concerns over not wanting to missions created by other players. I believe they are concerned these missions may just suck maximum back side. I think concerns will be alleviated by peer reviews and DEV'S choice/picks. I am sure there will be a TON of lame missions but; hopefully people will learn from what they're doing wrong and correct the shortcomings of the mission.

Anyway, I can see where this tool will give us missions better than what the DEVS could offer. The rewards may not be as great as a regular mission but the potential for variety and new looks is HUGE. I CANNOT stand seeing the same looking mission over and over and over and over and over ..... I know we'll have the same tile sets but I am hoping we can customize the boss, mobs etc. Just having the boss LOOK like a boss would be great - I think it's lame when the target of the mission looks just like the rest of the spawn group (maybe once in a while this is ok but it happens far too often).

Anyway, there is great potential here.
