Thank you, Juno, Minerva, and Back Alley Brawler.

I have literally dozens of characters who have been urgently needing this, or limping by with the Enforcer chest detail or one of the Samurai ones, as poor substitutes for a lorica segmentata or sculpted cuirass. Skirts with pteryges, even!

[/ QUOTE ]Yup Yup Yup my Seraph character is definetly getting an upgrade to Lorica Segmenta. I only hope that the helmets come with the option of not having the horse brush thing.

My gut reaction: Why?

And: er, this is superhero/villain how, exactly?

At this point, we should cheer with desperate joy ANY new terrain to this game---never mind the fact that the zones we've asked for, for well nigh 4 years have been completely ignored---because anything to relieve the oppressive tedium is vital.

Once more and with emphasis, I question the design decision to completely disregard the blatant preferences of the customer base in favor of yet more, IMO, unimaginative and run-of-the-mill non-superhero content. Am I detecting some sort of insidious hubris at work, here? Or just a serious lack of options due to the restrictive coding? Or both? Or something completely different?

0_O?

[/ QUOTE ]Blatant preferences? Hah don't be so full of yourself not only do you not have your finger on the pulse of the general populace but your clearly oblivious to popular trend on these forums as well. Corny tights capes side of the Hero genre has been covered more than satisfactorily enough and it seem that is the popular conscensus.

So, wait...in the picture with the gladiator armors, is that Statesman in there?

[/ QUOTE ]

That does look like the Statesman cape and Helmet. Do we get access to those???

[/ QUOTE ]

That helmet is SIMILAR to states helm but it isn't. look very closely at both of them. Not the same just very similar and I expect to see a few new states look a likes using that helm once the feature goes live.

When Jay said "No to the above" he meant the whole statement "Is that statesman helmet and cape? do we get access to them?"

Hence "No they aren't and no we won't get access to the states cape and face plate."

I may be wrong but personally I believe that the pics are accurate and we get all the good stuff we see there. Again look close to both states and the roman helm. Not the same just similar.

[/ QUOTE ]

So let me get this straight.

A ) I'm a Tank, so I can't get the super-huge shoulders that the female Arachnos chick in that one pic has. That SUCKS. I've waited forever for giant shoulder pauldrons and now I can't get them because it's an archetype exclusive (even Kheldians didn't get an archetype exclusive costume).

B ) We don't get the Cloth Mantle (made famous by Statesman).

Two of my biggest wants dangled in front of me with sadistic availability options in place for one and false advertisement for the other... wait, isn't that illegal?

I see you have lost your sexiness, Jay. And your Silent Bob, to boot!

[/ QUOTE ]

What huge shoulders are you talking about? I'm not seeing any at all.

In other news: what is Teddy Roosevelt doing in the promo picture? I'm very confused.

[/ QUOTE ]

These shoulders. Second lady from the left in the hulking armor. Can't miss'em.

Now soloing: GM-Class enemy Adamaster, with a Tanker!

I love the roman armor (i was smiling ear to ear when i saw the Statesman style cape). Now im confused. I WANT the armor, but i sure as hell dont feel like making a toon, getting him 35 levels just to get to the point where i can get them, and THEN jump through more hoops to get the armor.

*long sigh* might as well get to work gaining those levels......

As excited as I am about the Roman armor costume pieces, I am disappointed that they are unlockable. I'd love to have a toon be Roman-themed from lvl 1. Would it be possible to have 1 set of Roman armor available from character creation, with the rest being unlockable? Please? Pretty please?

I didn't search this shame on me:

But looking at the picture for I-12 with the Female costumes, the archonos stuff is Just Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ICK

The Roman female outfit was cool but those two girls on the top row, are in serious need of a fashion designer, Brittney has better fashion taste

[/ QUOTE ]I second this. Please give us the "lorica segmentus" no frills and make the other options time locked if you must.

This is great

Sooo anywise.....does this mean we may all soon see a a bunch of maps with the preatorian worlds to explore and adventure around in?...instead of a few small areas from a mission?

Will players eventually be able to take on a nifty beard while traveling in those mirrior universes?(like spock had in that old star trek episode)

Anywise it all sounds neat...but....i hope we wont see super power enemies who wield bronze weapons beating the stuffing out of players...becasue i hate to say this...bronze isnt that great of a metal.

And i hope that there might be some neat aqueduct systems...becasue thats what the romans where fairly good at.

steel was well developed in roman times, roman steel, in particular, was considered to be superior quality.

notice how the say "Eventually face the enemy of time"?

if it has something to do with time, it must be in a few mishes...

I got it! Snaptooth is the evil Irish-Roman time-master!

I guess my definition of "huge" is different from yours; especially since there is shoulder armor/add-ons that are larger than that shown. The midievil shoulder armor, for example, is larger than that on the female bane spider player character. When someone mentions huge shoulder armor, I think of the huge pauldrons from WoW.

I noticed when Ouroboros opened that each side had one contact that gives no missions, Twilight's Son (for villains) and Mender Tesseract (for heroes). This will be those two story arc/TFs.

[/ QUOTE ]

Very astute, I recently played an old character through the oro initiation, and noticed that when it came to mender tesseract, it didn't have her on the map, no explosion marker and under the name it said 'crimeora'

That's a common bug that has popped in recent patches. The game client seems to have a wee bit of I12 in it right now.

I suddenly picture -massive player groups hangin in Pocket D paying to run snaptooth on their level 1s

Question: Do we know if both the 10-20 and the 35-50 content is co-op-able? I am considering a server transfer and would like to know this in advance of any decisions.

I don't think the 10-20 content is co-op-able. The 10-20 content seems to be just a long story arc blueside and two shorter arcs redside that exposes you to the bigger Roman storyline.

The 35-50 content is probably co-op, though.

I'm really excited about everything new in I12.

I do have the same concern as other do about the costume unlock process.

Personally, I'd be happy to run a charecter through a story arc to earn the costume (Witches hat), but I'd loathe to earn credits to buy the pieces (Vanguard).

I finally gave up on the those. The enforcer looks just as good IMO.

Not sure if this comment belongs here or not but what the heck Anyway, I think unlocking costumes after a TF is a bad option. For many reasons including the novelty of the costume wears off. From what I understand you have to do several missions just to get into the new zone to start the TF? Then after the TF you get to unlock the costume set for that toon? Honestly, if I have to do all that for a costume I don't think it'll happen more than once for me especially when you can't solo it. Having to organize a team and complete it for each toon is too much.

I understand the costume pieces are an incentive but that's too time consuming to do over and over. I think each run should give you an option of items to pick and that may encourage me to go on more runs. For example, complete the TF and open up a new power set and to add to that set you have to run the TF for each power added to the set (some more incentive for toons including those at 50 cuz you would not get more powers by leveling but by doing the TF only - a new system for you to get new powers and something you can do after lvl 50). You could unlock access to an exclusive contact - that contact could be a number of things (special store, give you access to new stuff etc). A reward could be your pick of a few pets/minion etc.

Anyway, there are a ton of options that are more appealing than going through all that and just getting a new costume. What's the incentive to do this TF more than once with the same toon? Is there any? It seems like it becomes just another zone/XP/cash only zone. I thought this zone was going to be something 'new'. Maybe changes will happen in i13. Anyway, the new zone looks cool and a good idea but just not practical. Personally, I don't have the time to run all of my toons through that TF just to get that costume set - not worth it.

Was there ever a reason given as to why the Statesman Style cape and mask are not available in the roman costume lineup? It shows on the main page that it, along with another costume style, but it's not there. Why show us that it's going to be added and not do it?
