  1. Could you either give us the technical name of the zone or the demo file so we can view it for ourselves?
  2. I know it's not likely, but I really hope these end up in half helmets so we can add parts onto them.

While I can see why the filter was used -- to set the mood of desolation and listlessness -- I didn't think that's how David originally drew the characters and wanted to get as close as I could to his original work.
The top of her shirt/chest piece, the top of her shoulders, and the lines under her eyes all match up with the picture someone posted of Praetorian Penelope

Absolutely not. While the old fights didn't have the best choreography, what made them so great was the emotion that was being conveyed. In the prequels, the fight scenes bordered on sterile and over-choreographed. Not to mention how little depth and emotion the vast majority of the character interactions had. Updating the old fights would probably result in sacrifices that would greatly hurt the movies as a whole.
  5. I like how people are arguing that it was only obvious that it was a deadly trap because we're "omniscient." It's not like some average joe-schmoe pulls a gun on Superman, he doesn't dodge, and then it turns out they were kryptonite bullets. An unarmed guy, with absolutely no known super powers, kills his daughter, and then stands out in the open, on top of an ancient temple in a distant land, and then doesn't so much as flinch when one of the most powerful heroes in the world shows up.

Like someone else said here, all it was missing was a big red X.
  6. While the end cutscene had a few nice touches, I have thus far been thoroughly unimpressed with the SSA's. They feel forced, rushed, and underdeveloped. They are filled with plot holes, this last one greatly lacked power and emotion, and were a tad confusing. All of the "twists" seem like really weak attempts at making sure that the arcs don't actually have a permanent affect on the players.

Given the quality of the new DA arcs, I'm really surprised to be so let down by these.
  7. I can't believe they did this. I'm sorry to say it, but I very much feel like I'm constantly being nickled and dimed. I also agree that the clipping can't be that bad, and that it should be our choice.

Between demorecording/editing and hand-edited costume files, it should be a piece of cake to generate screenshots proving these don't clip. I'll do that when I get home tonight.

I apologize for not replying sooner. I didn't have internet access for a while and thus could not reply. Anyways, below you can see my graphics settings in the ccc. I've tried doing a bunch of different tweaks to no avail. Do you see a problem that I might have missed?

    Thanks
  9. Alright, I'll make that post. I'm using mobility modder, and the drivers still aren't installing for some reason though.
  10. I have not tried Driver Sweeper, but am absolutely willing to. You wouldn't happen to have a reliable link would you?

After trying Driver Sweeper I'll make a post on the AMD forums if my problem persists.

    Thanks!
  11. After upgrading to catalyst 11.7, I am still having this issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  12. I'm very excited for this. ALso, did anyone else get a metroid prime vibe from the new trial?
  13. I can't say for sure what version I'm running (probably 11.6 though). For now I'll just stick to what my desktop can put out and hope that 11.7 fixes the problem. Thanks
  14. I just got an HP Pavilion dv7-6195 laptop. The graphics card is a Radeon HD 6770m. The OS is Windows 7 64-bit. For the sake of time saving, I copied over my files from my old computer (Windows Xp 32-bit if that's at all relevant). I was told upon loading the game that I would not be able to play without updating my drivers. I found the appropriate drivers for my machine on the HP website and installed them. After rebooting the game loaded fine, or so I thought. The first thing I did was set the resolution to 1600x900 (my screen). After that, I tried changing the anti-alias setting. Upon doing so, everything except the boxes for my map and inspirations went completely black. This was true for 2x and 4x. The game will also not let me switch my graphics to anything higher than recommended before this happens. Does anyone have any ideas?
  15. Can you make it so a ninja/time mm's pets will have green skin and samurai armor?
  16. PownUnoobs was a fire/fire blaster. He made it to about 27 I think before he was passed up by my first mastermind. After being taught by a rather kind fellow how to get the most out of the archetype, I absolutely loved having pets. He was my first 50 and I've rolled more MM's than any other AT. My main and favorite toon, however, is a crab spider named Lord Porkluse. I play him as a "crabstermind", so, in a way, he's a hybrid of my first toon and my first 50.
  17. It's all about the destination for me. To me, it doesn't feel like my character is growing when I level them up. I create my toons with a specific design. They are the hero I want them to be from the start. They don't slowly fit that. It's only once they're 50 that I can give them a true test run and tweak them to fit the concept I originally envisioned.

  19. Hopefully this new season won't just be space politics with a hint of star wars like thiis current season

Well, did you guys have to spend any time figuring out how a computer program could physically materialize?

Horowitz: We did. We did talk about the idea of what is being reconstituted. There is stuff that you can see in the frame, carbon molecules that are attached to the laser, that are what you are being transferred into and then how that's being turned into energy and then it's a data. And then the question becomes, how is that reverse process working? And in our mind, there was a logic to how on the one hand you can take a corporeal being and turn them into this kind of data, and then we can have a reversal process by taking the data then and say, okay, can't we then reconstitute that into some form of man?

Kitsis: And what we decided was, well yes, but it has to merge with the user, in the sense that the only way to get out is with a user disc - and therefore not even Sam's, but the Creator's disc.

    C) He discovered a way for programs to leave the Grid

    How bout...
Why did Flynn want to stay in the Grid?
Why was the only way to destroy CLU to kill himself?

Why did CLU care that Flynn got the disc back he had the knowledge he needed because he saw what was on the disc thus he had that knowledge and no longer needed the disc?

And that's not even discussing the stupidity of Sam's character at the beginning, or the dual identity Discs that so many have... and use to fight with (but that they fight with is acceptable cuz it was at least nonsense from the first movie), or any other number of stupid points in it.

While Spoony is wrong about the disc thing, most of everything else he said is right so it seems to me you guys just don't like opposing opinions.
I was trying not to say anything, but this is ridiculous. Question one, A has the potential to happen because of B. Flynn wanted to stay because it was a revolutionary new world. Clu was created from himself, and reintegrating him was too difficult a process to endure. Clu only read it once. Can you perfectly recreate quantam physics after seeing it once? It was blatantly obvious that there was only one character with identity discs. Please watch the movie next time.

Edit: I would like to apologize for the outburst. I was just really hoping to discuss this movie, which I greatly enjoyed. Instead we've kind of hit a dead end.
  22. Personally, I would've liked to see some story stuff not tied to GR. That being said, I'm absolutely amazed at all the new stuff they're throwing in here.
  23. I'm glad this got pulled. It's not because of what she's wearing. She could be wearing a one-piece jumpsuit for all I care. Kids should be allowed to go as long as possible without learning the sad truth.....that this is considered good music.

    Heroes 911

I was in the 3rd grade when it happened. The teachers wouldn't tell us anything (obviously) but even as an 8-year old it was very clear that something was wrong. The day had a very somber tone, and throughout the day kids were being picked up by their parents. My mom picked me up early and told me what had happened. I was so young, it's still sinking in. Even today it's hard to fathom how anyone would be capable of commiting something, as well as the fact that one event could destroy so many lives that fast.
