Fix the Memory Leak bug, lag, rubberbanding, long zoning times, mapserver disconnects, and the base kick bug, and it'll feel like a completely different game.

Teleport fix should be in the next patch as well, as well as some code for memory leaks and other nastiness.

A fix for Group Teleport will be coming in I8.

Patron Respec issue should be fully solved in the next patch as well.

Dominators are getting a buff that should make them more desireable on LRSF in I8 as well.

Lt.s should be spawning in missions again (I don't know if this is fixed in the patch, or was fixed in I8).

We are constantly datamining PvP, seeing which side is winning more. The results are not what you expect. One side wins, then the other side, then the balance shifts back, and then back again.

I had 2 PM's in my box, back to back. The first was "Stalkers are useless in PvP" and the next was "Stalkers are overpowered in PvP". The grass is always greener they say...

Our lead programmer has been doing nothing but fixing bugs since I7 was released. He mentioned to me the other day that he hadn't written one line of code that was only in I8. We -are- trying to get the major issues fixed, but eventually the new issue has to come out, and that gobbles up the Training Room server, and we have to button down new fixes until that Issue goes to Live.

The next patch for I7 is not in NC Soft's hands yet, but will be shortly. You can expect it on the Training Room once it has passed their internal QA process.

And yes, all of this bug fixing has pushed out I8 beyond the original "September" estimate I gave back in May.

Thanks Pos. The bug fixes are mighty appreciated, and we can't wait (yes, I'll go ahead and speak for people) for I8. Keep on doing what you do.

Any update on the Tram doors?

Even just allowing us to click the doors at any time, not just when they're closed, would be fantastic.

Fair enough - much better to delay an issue and make sure it's running smoothly than to add to the current bug count. It's also good to hear that the bugs are being worked on.

Thanks for the communication, it really goes a long, long way toward making the players feel part of the process.

Edit: Ooh, just noticed the Dominators are getting some love in I8 as far as the LRSF is concerned. Great to hear! I rarely play Dominators myself but ecouraging team diversity on the LRSF can only be a good thing.

As for the choosing, I know I'll get in trouble for this, but I agree with not being able to choose SHOEs. Good job devs.

Edit: If it pushes back I8 . . . so be it. Better to do it right then get the AGGRO you all got from people saying "bring out I7 now" and then "how comes I7 has so many bugs and slows down my computer".

Get it right I say. October, November . . . Wings, Trenchcoats, a 5th costume slot, newspaper-type missions for COH, a potentially new COH zone . . . yeah, its worth the wait.

You know you guys always seem ot be short on people, artists , programmers etc. Perhaps you should consider attempting to get a bigger budget or something to accomadate having an additional artist or programmer.

That would make things much easier for you guys because you could have bug fixer guy and new issue programmer guy , instead of only bug fixer guy who wishes he could be new issue programmer guy.

Oh and as for artists you could give jay some time off so he can go share his sexiness with other people for a change as opposed to grinding out new art for the masses.


I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.

Allow us to chose which SHO we get, then that is some great news! As it is now, the SHO drops suck, I have a VG mate that has ran this SF damn near 20 times and each time he got a Damage/Range. Give the choice to us or change the percentages for these crap enhancements we all get.

Hoping for choice of SHOE is unrealistic dreaming. Not unless the heroes get a choice on Hamidon.

Now maybe, maybe, in i9, once the heroes get their own RSF to get SHOEs... then maybe maybe they'll consider a choice box for both sides to be fair. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Glad to hear that Teleport will get fixed up! (Happy about the sound loop bug, too, but it was Teleport that I was peering at the most.) I think it's better that you delay I8 and get these guys patched up first -- I just hope you folks make sure none of the bugs are still lurking in the I8 publish of the code...

Anyhow. Yay.

EDIT: I PMed Cricket about this, but I figure since you're posting here -- once the Teleport bug is fixed, are there any plans to improve teleport (fix the red reticle sensitivity, in particular)?

Thanks as always to you and the dev team for addressing these issues. I for one don't mind I8 being delayed a little if long-standing issues like the sound loop bug get fixed. Keep up the good work

This is the kind of development attitude I want to hear. I know the issues must come out, but let them come out strong. Everything in I7 was so watered down by all the bugs that (overall) I had a 'just wade through it' attitude more than a 'Wow! Look at that.' attitude when all was said and done. I really want my eagerness for the content to cease being overshadowed.

Please push the tram doors near the top of the list, and while we're talking the bug that keeps kicking team mates (always) and coalition members (sometimes) from bases is immensely irritating.
