There's already a prompt for team teleport option, I think it works with group teleport too. I know it works for the mayhem team recall temp power for sure, don't see any reason why it wouldn't work for group teleport.

As for group fly, I can see wanted to turn that off.

Yeah, in zones, where there is a lack of organized PvP and its all in numbers.

Heroes GREATLY overpower villains in organized, arena teams. An organized, standard hero team will defeat any formation of villains, unless the hero team is severely unskilled.

Bug fixes are appreciated by this player as well.

A well performing game is of more importance to me than one with lots of features and bugs.


Virtue: multiple characters.

CoH/V: Woot! Maybe Fun is to be had once again.

Ack! RUN! Regen is glowing mean & green!

If it reduces you, it's a nerf.
If it buffs the mobs, it's challenge.
They are not the same.

I think the amount of time it took to fix bugs is ridiculous since that was supposedly the reason I-7 took so long to be released. How anyone can be clapping people on the back and saying CoX is doing great is beyond me.

While I think the benefit of this update is obvious, what isn't obvious is why this wasn't cut-n-pasted into CoH as well. Every time the Devs make anything related to HOs/SHOEs -more- different from each other they are only bound to create more problems than it's worth.

I hope this is only being put off until you can implement picking the specific HO for heroes as well. It really sucks to go through all of what it takes to get these things and get something you can't use and nobody else wants (like a Lysosome).

I'm sure most everyone would want to be able to pick their HOs/SHOEs after a raid/SF.

But sadly I see this update more as evidence that being able to choose them will in fact likely -never- happen. The code to implement this new "choice table" we're getting would have to have been virtually identical to a GUI that would've allowed us to pick any HO, yet the Devs decided to give us this +3 SO choice alternative instead. I could be wrong, but I think we just got our "answer/compromise" to all the suggestions we've made on the subject and I doubt the Devs are going to revisit this again. Enjoy it for what it's worth...

Better late than never

And because I am a user and not a programmer and have no idea what I'd do if I was in Cryptic's shoes, I wouldn't tell them how to do their jobs. Technology is rarely user friendly when it doesn't work, so having to hack through a million and one things to get things working again is a hassle.

If a game program is akin in size to the Encyclopedia Brittanica, finding one tiny misprint that is causing the whole set to blow up is probably hard to do. Hence, I'm going to wait because the devs at least tell us they're working on things instead of keeping us in the dark.

We -are- trying to get the major issues fixed, but eventually the new issue has to come out, and that gobbles up the Training Room server, and we have to button down new fixes until that Issue goes to Live.

I'm sorry to hear that it is tough for everyone working on the game. Your doing a great job. I left CoH for a short time to play Final Fantasy, but it did not "float my boat" if you catch my drift. CoX is great no matter what Archtype you play, as opposed to Final Fantasy 11, inwhich you HAVE to take certain powers for teams to invite you (for example you will RARELY/IF EVER get invited if your Summoner isn't "/whitemage".) Yet another reason I left Final Fantasy to play this game. NCSoft obviously has better insight on how to run a game where you are not pressured to BUY "influence" online like FFXI has on it's newer players. As the only MMOG I have played other then CoX, NCSoft is doing an outstanding job in comparison.

No matter what anyone else says, you are doing a great job and I appreciate it. *I posted just because I wanted to show my support* This is the only game I *want* to play.

And the devs have wondered aloud whether the villains should have Hami also, or some new analogue so that both factions have two sources of SHOEs from raids/forces.

Of course the devs will try to balance the two. It's only an issue for doomers who assume the worse.

This is a fair response to my criticism.

FWIW, based on my observations of CoH, and the webapp I work on IRL, it appears that these kind of online systems grow to the point where maintenance alone can consume the entire bandwidth of the available development team, making new features impossible to develop unless the team is willing to forgo bugfixing -- a sort of critical mass of legacy code from which no new features can escape.

Where do MM pets fit in that are still broken and often run back and forth through elevators and do not respond to commands have the times.

Borked Mayhem mission ambushes, the flying death squads. The ambushes which sometimes 2 or more nulifiers while running solo on villainous setting. No nullifiers should even be in the missions right now since the LTs are bugged so what gives?

this is a matter of opinion, but, choosing the hamios just means we spend less time pursueing loot that we can't use.

the devs were wise to avoid loot in this game. i think it would also be wise to allow people to choose thier hamios - making it easier for casual players to get thier loot, while more of the core players will be able to apply hammios to more of thier alts.

This is true, and something I wish people would get through their thick skulls. Constantly evolving code means there -will- be bugs. And a bug lasting a long time does -not- mean it's being ignored, either. Just means that it's more than likely extremely tricky to nail down.

Oh, yeah, and things like adding costume pieces and fixing text errors aren't slowing down the bugfixes for those who insist on carting out that old dead horse every time such a patch goes up...

No one has explained yet why its a DEVELOPERS problem that people dont look at their [censored] tray?

There are so many other REAL problems with the game.. and yet one of the things POSI posts about is a SHO versus SO "problem"....

I don't see how that is in anyway a Game Dev Problem...

Most of the people who do the LRSF have power leveled up characters so their VG can Farm it.....

The Lrsf is NOT fun for anyone really unless you have a RAD corr or a Stone brute.. or are one of the TAG A LONGS to a team with those on it...

I can understand that maybe its annoying for people to constantly PM you about such an issue.. but do you ever go to the technical issue and bugs part of this forum?

Those problems are Graphically more important than people being LAZY and not checking their tray at the end of a task force...

And if everyone is "awake" enough to clear a spot before choosing their reward, this should solve the "I didn't get a SHO" whining.

Maybe you can add, "Please make sure you clear a spot in your tray before choosing your reward" text to the choice table?
