One question, whenever it goes live (that meter) will it be based on all so far or count from that point forward?

Probably from whenever the game started keeping proper count. It seems that, like the time badges and certain kill badges, the game wasn't keeping proper track of your rocket launches.

Should also clear up once and for all whether the badge is for five rockets or ten. Given the way Gunner used to erroneously be awarded, and the wierdness with the time badges, I would not be surprised if it's really five and many launches are not getting counted for whatever reason.

Actually, "incompetents" is the plural noun for a person inadequate to or unsuitable for a particular purpose. "Incompetence" is the noun for the state of being incompetent. So both are correct.

What if we launced it 5 times already? Do we have to launch it again 5 times when you implement the meter in order to get the badge? Im starting to think being a badge [censored] is more trouble then its worth if you guys aint gonna datamine..........

Not really, if he's referring to the GMs as, generally, people who are incompetent, then the title is appropriate in a shorthand kind of way, which would be excusable for a forum title where grammar is rarely considered.

On the other hand, what I find ironic is the vitriol of the post considering he was awarded the friggin' badge.

I noticed that the "Man in Black" badge is now "Woman in Black" for female characters (after being for a brief time P followed by a string of random numbers).

By that logic, shouldn't Rocketman be Rocketwoman for female characters?

Considering the word is 'incomptence', not 'incompetents', yes, it is a swipe at you. Considering you were not attempting to say that more than one Gm is incomptent, hence incomptents would be correct.

spidersmasher,gunner,all pvp and zone badges are screwed in one way or another..2 glad 's are still bugged as well(mu and fortuana).titan glad loses control after going from hec to zeus.etc etc etc

if your not aware of these "bugs"..then you should get more involed

like i said before..they will fix these add 3 explortion badges (in new zone)and call it a day...im willing to bet on it.

I agree....used to be you would send in a petition and a GM would show up and actually try to help you in game...now, you wait for hours only to learn that a "pre-generated" email response is sitting in your in-box...

What happened to GM's actually being available "in-game" and helping you out with your problem? Seems to me things would go a lot faster of the GM's just helped you in-game rather than going through a dozen emails back and forth....Typically, it takes me 2-3 emails before I actually email with a "living person" and not some pre-generated canned response. I think their support system looks for key words in a petition and it just sends you back a pre-generated email about that item.

Half the time, these pre-generated emails have nothing to do with "your" bug, but another bug. For instance, you could send in a petition that your badge for killing Ghosts from the Ghost Ship isn't displaying properly and you'd get a response back that says "We're well aware of the fact that the Ghost Ship is stuck in Talos Island. We're working on resolving this issue as soon as possible."

So, now you have to go through 2 days of back and forth of explaining and re-explaining your problem just to get through the automated support messages. I picture the Support area of NCSoft as that one Nemesis misson where you have to fight the Nemesis automatons and they're all robotic and just keep saying the same programmed responses over and over, lol...."Bzzzt...who made the coffee this mo-rbzzt-ning?"

Actually funny story. Before I5 (probably before i4 in reality--long before badges either way because I was awarded the souvenir) I did some SSTF's on my fire controller. Now..He's not my badge toon so I continued on my merry way and made an alt. Then one day (after the badges went live and we were told they weren't datamining for these) I log on and voila! I'm awarded badges for doing the SSTF's.

Anyone wanna take a guess at how that happened? Because unless it's a bug, I was awarded them by datamining...

As for the rocketman...I did 5 petitioned and before I left the zone had the badge in my posession. A fellow sg member however, just did his 10 and was told by the GM's that he has in fact done 0. That right there amazes me since he did a few recently. Even if it had been reset, he would show at least the three he had done that day...

But..before they add new badges in i7, I'd like them to fix current ones (like they finally did for the SSTF's and Honorary PB -- There's 5 of the 10-12 he listed) or at least assure us that no bars are going to be reset.

I hope the best of luck to you all when dealing with the GM's. So far I only have trouble when it comes to bugged missions.
