I remember you, my account is still active and I pop in here every once and awhile. I've not played since November 2009 though, I got burnt out and moved on. Been playing DDO since November and liking that so far.
  2. Haven't played actively since late November early December. Still sitting at 698, I think I have another vet badge coming on 21 April, that's 699. Don't think I can do anything else.
  3. I love the fighting, I started free to play, earned enough and paid a little real cash to open all the adventures, no sub, I think it's a pretty good game.
  4. I knew Slax would reply.....
  5. I've not played since November with the exception of a few characters for the winter event. I'm payed out until Nov or Dec 2010, but got burned out finally after 5 years. I've been playing DDO and I'm enjoying that right now until Going Rogue comes out.
  6. Correct, Healing Flames is based on Base Health (~1874), otherwise I'd be getting roughly ~1454 heal from it.
  7. I agree, I have over 2900 HP on my Fire/Fire/Pyre and that also means more regen. I believe my regen is in the upper 30's HP/sec.

Information can be found in this thread: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?p=2294286

Basically, you don't see any increase in infamy/influence when exemplaring. You get exactly the same amount.
  9. I don't see a note for the exemplar influence/infamy bug, did it make it in this patch?
  10. The reason why purples are currently very, very expensive on the market....hmmmmmm....because there were very few players playing content, the farmers were all in AE. With the change to difficulty, more purples will hit the market and the prices will drop.

Since everyone loved my last bug explanation:

Level capped experience being converted into influence was broken because of an off by one error. (49 is never >= to 50)

Exemplaring converting experience into influence was broken because the experience was being added to influence before influence was being set (note these lines were a lot further apart):
    Influence += Reward->Experience;
    Influence = Reward->Influence;
    GiveInfluence( Player, Influence );

Will this be fixed before double xp weekend?
  12. To prove my point:

Level 47 fighting level 47's and Exemp Level 24 fighting level 24's
    Code:
    		             Lvl 47 Lvl 24
    Enemy Inf XP Inf XP
    Council Minion	1,345 2,907 1,345 2,907
    Council Lt 4,651 5,814 4,651 5,814
    Council Boss	15,116 17,442 15,116 17,442
I tried all combinations of the settings:
    • Earn XP and Earn XP resulted in both Infamy and XP as expected at the same rate no matter what the level. Shown in table above.
    • Earn XP and Double Infamy, No XP resulted in only Infamy, so the No XP in the second setting took precedent over the first setting. There was no Double Infamy either, received the same Infamy as the Earn/Earn setting.
    • No XP and Double Infamy, No XP resulted in only Infamy, so as expected No XP means No XP but did not result in Double Infamy, only received the same as the Earn/Earn setting.
    • No XP and Earn XP resulted in only Infamy, so again, as expected No XP means No XP, but again, received the same infamy as the Earn/Earn setting.

The differences the OP saw could've been the result of fighting higher or lower conning mobs during the exemplar process, more or less team members during the process, I don't know. Mine was in a more controlled environment.

So to say it again, I'm seeing the same thing as I do with my 50, No double influence/infamy at any setting (default for all is Earn XP/Earn XP).
  13. And what I'm trying to say is the system is broken and I'm not getting double or close to double as before. Previously, fighting as a 50 exemplared down rewarded extra influence, not the same. The numbers I was expecting were around 3.5K for a minion, 11K for a lt and 37K for a boss. During double xp weekend, I would be seeing around close to 4X Influence. Bottom line, the system is broken for all.

To test this reliably, you need to use a sub-50 character.
I'm sorry, but I've been doing this for many years, worked up 2 billion on 2 characters, a lot of it done through exemplaring. If you are a 50 fighting a 50, just because you don't get xp, doesn't mean that the amount is already figured in. Prior to i16, you did get approximately double, when you exemplared down to any level as a 50. I'm actually not really worried what you think, I've already PM'd to a DEV and got a response, they are looking into it.
  15. I just checked this, no matter what setting you choose or combination of settings chosen, you always get the same amount of influence.

    Enemy Lvl 50 Lvl 45
    Harlequin Fencer 1,945 1,945
    Harlequin Juggler 1,945 1,945
    Attendant 1,945 1,945
    Dark Ring Mistress 20,842 20,842
    Master Illusionist 20,842 20,842
    Seneschal 6,669 6,669

I've tried "Double Influence, No XP" with "Earn XP"
I've tried "Double Influence, No XP" with "No XP"
I've tried "Earn XP" with "Earn XP"
I've tried "Earn XP" with "No XP"

    This is broken.
  16. If I have to submit both the .cvg file and storyarc file, I'm in a bind unless I can recreate the .cvg file from editing the arc and custom critters then saving them locally again. Not sure if that is possible. I don't even know what category to submit under, have to check if it is flagged for hero or neutral. I'm sure it could go under the original category since it doesn't follow CoH lore. Too many unknowns for me.

  19. Did you just change you Sig to add a recruitment drive for dumb? I was just thinking about making a character to see if I could put him in that SG and saw that in your sig.

  21. Was awarded Empath on my ill/rad controller upon log in, I had about 10.5 million healed. I was playing him frequently for awhile, but the character is nearly 5 years old and about 1300 hours played.

IE, your player model and costume wouldn't go away, there would just be a new set of 'Granite' armor pieces overlaid.

I haven't made any decision to do this, it's just one of the options for dealing with the multiple issues we have with Granite Armor and I wanted to get a sense of how many of you guys wouldn't be able to adapt to a change like this.

Before anyone asks, no...we couldn't have it both ways.
You can do it... you can do it all night loong!
  23. Both me and the wife suffering as well, it's at the point that it is becoming unplayable. Ours started this morning.

    Location: Columbia, MD
    ISP: Verizon FIOS
    Server: Infinity
  24. All these changes in badge requirements will pretty much make those badges meaningless unless loopholes are closed and kills that grant rewards only count for badge credit.

I'm experiencing the same problems on Infinity, but mine just started today. It got so bad, I thought I was at an olden day Hami Raid. This was on a 2 man team doing AE missions and moving around in both Cap and St. Martial.
