Quote:Yep, thats why I don't have Titan WeaponsYou know... if they put out 10 new sets for sale in one year, and you don't have any intention to make at least one new toon using each of the sets... you don't have to buy all the sets, just the ones you use. You don't *have to* have every set unlocked on one's account if you're not going to use it. In fact, you can be patient and wait for sales. If you want to just get a feel for the set, then Beta Server is that way --->

Snipes aren't a benefit to the team. I beg to differ when I am hovering above the team fray laying lethal snipes.

Quote:Those of us in the Babes of War enjoy our Black and Hot PinkSuper Groups existed from the start of the game, but the only thing being in one granted you was SG chat, coalition chat, and the ability to change your costume to the SG colors and symbol. Which, by the way, could never be changed to anything else. I was in a SG from the beginning that the leader thought it was funny to pick black and hot pink as the SG colors... later he wished he hadn't, but it was too late. ^_^
having worn those pretty much from the start of the game.

Quote:I can totally get onboard with this because it answers both questions, how to do it and how to make it blend with the story. We already have Dark Watcher, Maelstrom, and several Arachnos and longbow agents running around Praetoria in secret. I suspect that, rather than access the normal Ouro list of flashbacks to gain entry to goldside missions, Dark Watcher, Montague Castanella, or a mender would set up the primal toon with access to infiltrate the Powers Division, complete with temporal scaling to avoid detection. Then you could earn the tutorial badge, and all the other content "as if you were a Praetorian".
The process might allow for single story arc flashbacks, or it might strand you in Praetoria until someone has a chance to retrieve you, forcing you to play the 20 levels before returning and rechoosing a Primal Earth alignment.
Just my musings on how it might work, of course; I have no inside info on the matter. -
Thanks for the information. I have a hero that I rolled V Side for the badges and Deathsurge and Caleb are the last remaining GMs on my shopping list.

I am totally onboard with this. I support fully the concept of the pet summons picking gender randomly so I might get male or female. I run a female MM named Munitions Mistress who would love to have a little mix in the squad. I just don't understand why the devs have stood so form for so long on this.

I enjoy my Beam Rifle Blaster very much. Granted I have only run her up to 21 at the moment (so many Blaster combinations, so little time). And while it is admittedly slightly slower (at least in feel) like Dual Pistols, it seems to flow better. I find the animations pretty smooth and not too much of a problem working through mobs. Besides, seeing that Disintegrate spread alert and those wonderful damage ticks just fly in the air like deadly butterflies is even more satisfying than seeing Scourge over a Corruptor. There are naturally challenges with the set in a team setting, like your disintegrate anchor getting killed off but hey, those are the breaks. I find it fun. I play it with energy as a secondary because they seemed to mesh well for me in my mind.

You got that right. I played up my Mercs/Traps to 50 and even now still play her because she is A) Fun to play and B) a death machine.

Laughed real hard at this. Thanks for the post.

Quote:As a career player of an Energy Blaster from day 1 to this very day, that is the number one battle I have had to fight when on teams. I am aware of the knockback and do my best to not un-mob a mob but when you remove the major KB powers then you are short changing that blaster, if you take EB and Energy Torrent out of the mix then the KB becomes manageable but they are big tools to remove. You have to develop a synergy with your team but just as important is that the team will also have to make some exceptions and perhaps, perish the thought, adjust their tactics as well. If I am the lone blaster on a melee heavy team, then yeah I will throttle back on the multi-target KBs. If I am on a more mixed team, I am gonna sweep. Know your team, know your teams powers, know your role and know how to make it work. Remember, knowing is half the battle.Had me going until this part.
Way too many times I have been in the midst of an AE power on a long timers only to have everything around me suddenly hurled to every point of the compass. Gee, my Soul Drain, Dark Consumption, Energy Drain, or heck, a PBAE blast was just wasted because some "I don't care about the other players in the group" blaster decided it would be fun to scatter everything.
Yes, Knockback is a survival tool when you're solo. In a group it may be beneficial in rare circumstances, but those times are far more rare than those times when it is detrimental. -
Gonna have to look at this when I get home.

Ahhhhh . . . memories

I just did the Hero side with my Vigilante Mastermind. I enjoyed it, plus any time a certain Hero gets the beat down, I am happy

Quote:Lovin me some old school BSG references. Some believe that this game here, began out there. With tribes of developers who may have been the forefathers of the Islandians, or the Ultimans, or the Evercrackians. That they may have been the architects of the great RPGs, or the lost MUDs of the Internet. Some believe that there may yet be brother game designers who even now fight to survive, somewhere amongst the development community.

Wow you step away from the game for a few months to focus on school and come back to this. My 2.2 cents is I dont like it. I find it clunky and annoying and have to spend way more time at the Market than I used to.

As always, excellent work from the staff of Badge-Hunter. Thanks Beef.

Quote:No need to appologize, this game is filled with a variety of powers and players who are more capable than me at using them. I am hoping soon to test a bit of the new stuff since I put this up way back when. I just dont get to play as often as I used to.BoyScout, you may have just saved my bacon from the pain of wasted time. I just got the 20-24 set and am about to start the 25-29 set, and then would be going to the 30-34 set, and the Croatoa arc sounds a helluva lot more appealing than what High Beam recommends (sorry High Beam).

Let's See:
High Beam (50) Energy/Ice (Oldest toon, Badge Hunter)
Snap-Shot (50) Archery/Devices
Munitions-Mistress (49) Assault Rifle/Devices
Miss Conflag (33) Fire/Energy
Cerebral Siren (28) Sonic/Mental
Psychic Scorcher (21) Psychic/Fire
Tesla Soldier (33) Electric/Electric
Thermolyte (25) Ice/Energy
Yeah I like me some Blasters
Even play a couple Defenders like Blasters -
Yeah I dont like it for now. Sure I can put a picture for a signature, but the navigation is clunkier than the old version and there have been several times where it doesn not return to the right place, plus the backwards navigation is problematic. While I am sure they arent going back to the old one, I too feel I need to voice my opinion.
Oh yeah and I am with beefcake on that crappy grey background in relationto the Avatar. -
MA made me choose door number 2 where the lovely Carol Merrill is standing.

I thought it was a good read. I never met the dude in game but I had heard of him (though not his reputation). I guess my not PvPing is part of the reason. But to me it was a good read.
