Game launch: April 30, 2004
Issue 1: June 30, 2004 (2 months)
Issue 2: September 16, 2004 (about 2 1/2 months)
Issue 3: January 4, 2005 (a little over 3 months)
Issue 4: May 4, 2005 (4 months)
Issue 5: August 31, 2005 (a little under 4 months)
Issue 6: October 31, 2005 (2 months)

Average time between issues: 2.91 months!

[/ QUOTE ]

That actually is very helpfull....I need to keep that list somewhere.

Maybe I'll add in the "events" too, since they do fill up the time between issues.

It also makes it clearer for me why I4 left a bad taste in my mouth. Not only did we not get any real story elements with it, but it was also the longest wait.

It doesnt take more than a month to hit 40 for most ppl,

A month! Maybe if you play every waking hour in 8 man teams set to the highest difficulty. What about story arcs? Badge collecting? Exploring zones? I've been playing this game since Aug 04. I have one toon in the low 40s, one in the low 30s, one in the mid 20s and a dozen or so below 20. Only able to play 3 or so hours a night. 4 - 8 hours if involved in a trial or TF. Some days not at all. A month! Do you watch dvds in FF to avoid all that annoying dialog and plot just to get to the sex and violence? Bet you complain about lack of content too. A month! HA!

[/ QUOTE ]

CoV has a different lvling curve. Its faster. I also am NOT an alt-aholic. When I decide on a toon to play, I play it to the end. Collecting badges to me are meaningless, unless its for the sg or an accolade power.

Nevermind enjoying the ride - how about work, quality time with the person you rub naughty bits with, social obligations, that stack of unread books on the shelf, and all the stuff on the Tivo?

[/ QUOTE ]

Clint, I have a very fruitful life. But I enjoy my MMOs alot. Dont be so pressumptious.

As I recall, I4 was on the test server for a much longer time than the devs intially expected. Since it was the first glimpse of PvP for the game, that was probably for the best. But yeah, I4 and I6 have been more or less "non-updates" to CoH in terms of story changes or new zones (PvE)

I think it was more like 3 Issue updates a year, but I'm having a lazy day after finishing up a jury duty stint, so I'm not gonna dig around for the citation.

Dude, it really felt like so much longer. I think it was the hyping.

Oh well, they did say that they were moving to a six-month schedule for issues.

[/ QUOTE ]

Pointless nitpick: Issue 1 released on June 29.

Don't quote me on that six months thing either... that was memory, and mine's poor.

Playing catchup, responding to forum feedback, and posting some pretty groovy stuff. And the naysayers complain how no one ever reads our posts

WB States, hope you had a good vacation

Another month? I guess what they said about spacing Issues out more after CoV launches was true. It'll be nearly 4 months since our last Issue by that time. Hopefully this means it'll be a lot bigger though.

[/ QUOTE ]

Man, if we gotta wait til Mid/end March til I7 goes live, that will be a huge stink bomb.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why?? Why on earth is it a 'stink bomb'? I mean, really I'd like to hear your reasoning on this.

[/ QUOTE ]

Possibly because people are thinking that the Costume options and AV/Hero spawn change are going to be I7.

LOL, this means he probably wants to nerf Teddy Ginn...He is too fast and thus unbalanced with the other players on the field.
