Very nice Statesman! It's good to see this. I solo a lot, I got tired of my multi-hour LFG session in EQ. The solo-friendly environment of CoH is a huge factor. The new bosses are not hard for me as a Tanker, and I am sure Scrappers are doing well too, but Blasters/Controllers/Defenders could have a hard time from what I have seen. Teaming has merits, but sometimes you cannot or do not want ot team and CoH allows for both, which is a very positive aspect of the game.

Now I remember why I'm loyal to this MMO more than others.
Devs....this is just...fantastic. Raising group xp will definatly please a lot of support AT players (including myself)! Hopefully the group xp increase will be substantial enough that it will please people.

As one of the "casual gamers," someone who comes home from 8 hours at work, and has less than an hour to play before another 4.5 hours at night school, I thank you. The ability to hop on and work my way through story-arcs (my absolute favorite parts so far have been the Wheel of Destruction and the Organ Grinders arcs), following the excellent stories in the precious spare time I have, has been a real boon. One that brought me to CoH from SWG and FFXI.
On another subject... any chance of seeing more of the Tuatha de Danann? I'me a major Celtic mythos fan, and would love to see the Sidhe featured at some point (and maybe a kilt costume option for us red-blooded Celts? )

Awesome decision States, and that flashback system can't get here soon enough. With the 2 latest Updates, you brought excellent zones, trials, and missions into the fray, and I'm sure much more are planned for the future. I'd like my main to experience this stuff as soon as possible!

I don't post as often as I have opinions and even my 30 fire/fire blaster was still able to solo missions (with bosses) at +2 on the slider, I just feel it appropriate to applaud the thinking in this.

This is the only online MMO I have ever played. What got me into this game was the character generator, what has kept me in the game has been the great content and playability.
I started in late June and every update has added more and more. The fun just continues and I have taken changes in stride, some good and some not so good, confident you and your developers know what you are doing.
This post proves to me that my confidence is in the right place. I think that you have shown that you understand players like myself, who are not power players and number crunchers, but those of us who just like to have fun and may not be the best "uber" player on the planet.

Are there any plans to add higher settings to the reputation slider?
A suggestion if I may.
Right now setting difficulty higher gets bigger spawns. I've heard your not supposed to but this occurs, I have seen it. This better be changed because I am gonna hate fighting named Lt's as I will for any future characters be bumping up the difficulty since this game shouldn't be so easy on me. Also, if I set myself to Invincible, can all Named Bosses because Elite Bosses? This feels appropriate if you guys fix the "bug" with setting reputation higher and getting more spawns when soloing when sometimes all people want is higher level enemies.

I can't thank you enough. My one (faint) issue is that having to run a contact all the way through to get a story arc seems like a bit much, especially at the lower levels where you're lucky to squeeze in all your story arcs as it is. Maybe when you gain the ability to call the contact? Eh, that's off in the distance. For right now, my FF def can go about her business and not expect to get randomly mashed, while my scrapper can turn it up a notch or 2 (or 3 or 4 if I'm feeling whippy). This really is the best of both worlds. Thanks States!

From what I was taught in Psychology classes, it's always better to reward a desired behaviour (in this case, teaming up=better xp) than punishing an unwanted behaviour ( raising bosses dificulty, etc...)...

Hmm, if thats the case (I swear a dev said no spawn increases, maybe I'm wrong), that means to get Bosses that are a possible challenge again I should have more minions/lt's? Oh well, I could deal with that if it occurs

Very nicely thought out. Though the current Boss changes did not affect myself, they did adversely affect a blaster buddy of mine. He will greatly appreciate the roll back.
I personally love doing the missions, but every once in a while you get one that find out that you really dont want (like having it deep in Perez Park at level 11).
Viva la City of Heroes! Very nice ideas. I'll still get my bosses, people will still be to able to solo, good times. Only suggestion I can think of would be ONE more category between Boss and Lt, something like "Henchman" which would be tougher than an Lt (Have more powers) but weaker than a boss in damage and HP.
So Underling ---> Minion ----> Lt ---> Henchman ----> Boss ----> Elite Boss ----> Archvillian/Monsters
I must say I like that there will be a rollback on boss's, however I dont' think it has to be the way it was... perhaps they should still have a little boost. (my main is a controller in case your curious) Otherwise, I fully agree with what's being proposed by statesman... especially being able to drop missions you dont' wanna do.
As you can see, I don't post often, but I assure you that I am a veteran player and have been since beta.
I must comment here that I am completely satisfied with your reasoning and are 100% behind your decisions. Way to go! And yes, I was one who didn't like the new boss difficulty.
I must also repeat what is often said in these forums... you and your design team are excellent, you actually <gasp> care about your clients and your work! Imagine that. We are lucky to have you guys and gals here in CoH.

I think this is great for the game.
Not just in terms of the actual mechanics but also,more importantly, at what it does for your players' confidence in your product, and in yourselves.
I really like the proposed ideas for missions too, can't wait for the "flashback"
Missions are my main source of fun in this game and I usually like to solo them. Saying that, I really like teaming too (although a bad pick-up team is a nightmare ) and TFs are truely great.
I guess it's the story aspect of this game I like, there's a reason for your actions rather than just mindless mob hunting.....although some strange people do seem to just like street seeping themselves to 50 as fast as possible for some reason....never saw the fun in that.
But hey.....different strokes for different folks...long as they having fun
Bleh anyway....thanks for making missions (the best part of the game, after the char generator anyway ) even better and I'm looking forward to the new features.
