  1. it looks like you have some defense but its spread out thru positional and typed damage instead of focusing on one (not that it hurts anything..alot of times people try to go for one kind of defense)

    i have a kin/rad defender. my build looks closer to this, but it still needs some tweaking.

    normally i try to skip the quad Obliteration, but if you want that melee defense you'll have to grab it.

  3. well Fire Manip is a AoE monster and in pvp aoe=puny damage. Having said that it is possible to make it for pvp. I'll see if i can throw up a build before the boss gets here.

    something like this? i didnt have time to check my work lol

    you could always add or reduce the amount of purples/pvp io's. i tried to keep it on the cheaper side. the target aoe's are just set mules for more range.

  4. well assuming the Rag proc is good, i would use it in your fastest attack (Fistful of Arrows).

    If your gonna Aim+BuildUp+RoA=then there prolly wont be any mobs left to knock down :P
  5. pretty sure fire is the king, but not sure. I always assumed DP did poor damage like AR, but DP has alot of cones iirc and alot of room for damage procs

    MM is good for farming and fire manip
  6. think you'd be happier with this.

    It does include 4 Doctored Wound's. You should be able to buy them crafted for 100~500k if you check every level. your percentages wont change much at all regardless of whether they're lvl 30 or lvl 50.

    did you mean to use lvl 20 IO's? lvl 22 enhancements would work at 17 so..is there a arc that's lvl 17?

    yeah, after looking at those 2 threads I'm still not see'ing why they were using lvl 22 and 27 enhancements.

    I'm assuming all the Ouro flashback's are base 5 level's? like lvl 5, 10, 15, 20, 25....?
    if that's the case then you'd want to use lvl 20 IO's (for exemping at 15) and some lvl 25 IO's (for exemping at lvl 20)

    I've made a Siren's Call build and a Warburg build in the past. In Siren's you're exempt to lvl 30 so any enhancements that were lvl 33* would give set bonuses. i.e. five lvl 33 Red Fortune's would give you all the set bonuses while exemp at 30.

    *Of course now it was changed to a five lvl difference!. So if you wanted to make a Siren's Call build you'd want to use lvl 35 IO's or lower (this is only in regard's to set bonuses you want)

    you might test it to be sure. go buy 2 cheap lvl 25 IO's and see if you get that bonus while exemp to 20.

    not sure any of this was helpful but yeah.

    btw. it's very easy to make one build thats built for both exemping and lvl 50, but you wouldn't want to go lower than exemp lvl 25 (you'd have access to every IO). You'd probably want at least two sets of purples in the build so that they'd work when your exemp below 25.

    making a "all in one" build would be expensive tho.

    Ill/FF critiques

    the 2nd and 3rd slot in CJ is giving a total of 0.8% defense. I would use those 2 slots elsewhere.

    Aegis gives a ton of AoE, Fire and Cold defense. i tried to squeeze a few in which lowered your ranged to 45.

    Repulsion Bomb is a excellent power imo, and more useful that Flash so i slapped that in there to see if you're interested. Positrons in RB would prolly be best with the proc, but you could put Rag's or AbsAmaz in it if you wanted more rech.

    DP/Dev Advice

    I don't have experience with DP, but after playing with mids it looks pretty cool.

    I would skip Dual Wield, Surpressive Fire, and Taser.

    Smoke Bomb is nice with only one slot but personally, i'd skip it.

    Time Bomb you could go either way with that one. It's really only useful for "toe bombing"

    Gun Drone isn't very impressive, but might as well take it.

    I would use the Force Feedback proc in your AoE attacks.

    I'd slot empty clips with a Achilles Heel proc and a FF proc and fire it every time its recharged. In fact i think this power might be your bread n butter aoe.

    I'd probably even spring for a purple in it.

    sonic/sonic defender sounds pretty sweet for the debuffage.

    I wouldn't worry too much about slotting your buffs. Everyone in the league is probably waay over the resist/defense cap.

  17. --FF proc, has a greater (almost every time) chance to proc if used in AoE's.

    --You don't need Power Blast and Power Bolt.

    --Repulsion Bomb is a excellent power. It has a long animation but does more damage than Energy Torrent and Explosive Blast, and has a disorient, and a perfect place for another FF proc. You basically open with this power, followed by yer other 2 aoe's.

    --I'm not sure about slotting Caltrops for damage, it looks interesting tho. I think the best case is for caltrops to hit a enemy 7~10 "tics" before they exit the patch. Each tic of damage is about 3.1 damage. If damage is slotted up, then each tic is about 5.8 damage.

    so basically unslotted caltrops does 21~30 damage
    and slotted for damage does 40~58 damage

    a damage proc does 72 damage if it fires.

    meh, you could go either way, if it were me, I'd just slap 2~3 damage procs

  19. what are Alignment merits. I thought i read about getting 40 merits for switching sides, but only 1 merit after the first switch. I took a defender to red side and don't remember getting any merits for it..

  21. The Panacea Heal/Rech and Heal/End/Rech aren't doing much and will cost a cool billion, you might drop those. If you have to have the Panacea proc, go for it.

    you've got 5% run speed six times (altho there might be a difference between "5% run speed" and "5% to all movement". You'll have to test it.

    Looks like you squeezed every bit of run speed in possible

    Yeah, you can drop Acrobatics and just put 1 kb protection IO somewhere in the build. The travel power one is the most expensive (Blessing of the Zephyr's) approx 8mil? but you could also use the resist one (Steadfast) or the defense one (Karma).

    Kinetic Combats give great Sm/Leth defense but are expensive.

    Also, with set bonuses there's the "rule of five".

    only the first five of a particular set bonus will count.

    so the build above has enhanced global recharge of 5% five times. If i had another 5% recharge set bonus it wouldn't count towards your global bonuses (you could still use the enhancements tho).

    I'm assuming you don't have a ton of influence...don't be afraid to NOT buy lvl 50 IO's. You can save alot by buying lvl 40's or lvl 41~49's. [the crafting salvage changes depending on the lvl of the recipe, also the crafting cost of a lvl 50 recipe is double a lvl 49 recipe (500k/250k)]
  23. I could def remove the slots from CJ. 2 of those 3 slots could go on Power Sink for another 7.5% recharge. And maybe the last slot on Manuevers to regain the 9% Acc?

    You could take a slot from Jab, and slot 5 Absolute Amazements in Boxing if you wanted..that would drop you below 45% tho..

    ooh, i just noticed you have a Glad armor proc in yer build..yer not really gonna use one are you?

  24. I've heard there's a sweet spot on the amount of recharge you need to keep Domination perma..and its actually not that high iirc.

    im sure you could drop the Basilik's Gaze, and save a chunk of change.

    You've got ton's of attacks and a overkill (imo) of recharge, i would drop 1-2 attacks for Hoarfrost and or Combat Jumping.
