So I have decided to dig out my old Rad/Kin Corrupter and needs some ideas on where to go with his build. I really want him to have some good survive-ability because I tend to get over-excited and bite off more than I can chew with mobs at times.... At the same time, I don't want to sacrifice too much and make the toon boring to play or not as effective in teaming. Radiation Blast/Kinetics users help me out here

it looks like you have some defense but its spread out thru positional and typed damage instead of focusing on one (not that it hurts anything..alot of times people try to go for one kind of defense)

i have a kin/rad defender. my build looks closer to this, but it still needs some tweaking.

normally i try to skip the quad Obliteration, but if you want that melee defense you'll have to grab it.

I have a Rad/Kin that is 5 years old; my name sake - Bludgeon. Needless to say, Big Daddy Blu he has seen a number of respecs. After all this time I came to the conclusion that the best way to play him was raw speed.

He is maxed with two things: Ranged Def and +Rech! Why? Because nothing gets near him; he doesn't need melee res/def. He hovers. He siphons speed. If they get close, Cosmic Burst is always up. Why? Because of all the +Rech. Offensively, the attack chain is brutally fast and he has his sidekick: the "Crack Widow."

I selected Soul Mastery from the Patron pool specifically to get the Fortunata pet. Because of the hyper recharge philosophy, there is only a 20 sec window when she is Not available. Which gives me constant Psi damage that gets a healthy dose of SB, FS, and SP. Transfusion keeps her ticking while her KBs keep Blu from harm.

NET:
1. Dump kick, jump kick, boxing, flurry, tough, weave inertial reduction!!! <ICK>
2. RECHARGE, RECHARGE, RECHARGE...hasten, siphon speed, Spiritual, sets.....SPEED!
3. Get a pet. Buff your Pet. Let it kill stuff!
4. Keep your victims at range..bounce in and out for heals and endurance
5. Skip Electron Haze and Irradiate....they are slow, the damage is weak, and your attack chain can be so fast that your best attacks will always be ready.
6. Learn to use soft controls: Air Superiority, Cosmic Burst, Siphon Speed, etc
7. I question the use of tactics given the -Def in neutron bolt and x-ray beam. Seems like a wasted slot
