And it's really annoying when you hit ENTER only once and start to type, only to end up leaping up and down, opening and closing various windows, and then suddenly rushing headlong at whatever it was you had targeted (usually a Giant Monster, or Arch Villain...)
-
I'm using the secondary build for my Empathy/Archery Defender.
First build is her team build. Second is her solo build. -
That was obviously a false story from Faux News. There are no children in King's Row. Those were most likely Nemesis Child Automatons that were rigged to explode in a mist of Folgers Crystals. At least, that is the most likely explanation according to Ms. Amanda Vines of WSPDR.

Doctor Creed is the most outright villainous of the contacts in Mercy, so I'd advise you to move on to Port Oakes. Of that zone's contacts I'd say Billy Heck or Angelo Vendetti will allow you to keep a clean-ish conscience.
[/ QUOTE ]
Vendetti has you kill a man. Then blames the Council for that death in order to recruit said man's super-powered daughter. I found that to be much worse that anything Bocor asked me to do
[/ QUOTE ]
For some activities in the Isles, it takes a bit of imagination to justify them.
Vendetti for example...
My villains always figure that they are helping Niles fake his death and getting him out of the Rogue Isles to safety. (slap a teleporter on him as he goes down and then set the coordinates for our associates' base in Paragon. One of these days I will write an MA story where his niece gets rescued from the Council.)
Archmage Tarixus... When he has me kidnap Akarist and offer him to the Thornies, I "get Akarist to safety". Then I replace him with an inflatable Akarist (filled with Folgers Crystals). The Thornies could not tell the difference.
Drop off the Outbreak canisters? Before going in, the Outbreak is replaced with either Jolt, or once again, Folgers Crystals.
Deliver citizens to the Vahz surgeons... After rescuing them, I clue them into what is going on, coach them how to react, and then train the Longbow troops on the Vahzies. If that fails, then a coded message goes out to our associates in Paragon, cluing them into a rescue operation they need to do ASAP.
Mayhem missions? Like pro wrestling, those are staged.
Various other activities, I just chalk up to general mercenary work, with the understanding that the good guys will win anyway no matter what.
Still, I will not work for Creed or Phipps. There are also a few others that I can't remember who are just a bit too evil to justify working with. -
Bah. Only finishing move that matters is /em teabag.
As for actual attacks, I do like to get in the killing blow with Brawl, or sometimes (on my Tankers) Taunt, and hope the Perfect Zinger Psi Damage proc kicks in. -
As early as Level 5 you can go to Port Oakes. There, you talk to either Mikey the Ear or Drea the Hook. They will get you started doing newspaper missions. After doing 3 paper missions, they will give you a Mayhem mission (rob a bank, blow stuff up, etc). Upon completion you will be introduced to one of three contacts of your choosing. You can repeat the process a couple more times to get the other two contacts.
One of those contacts (Bocor) will introduce you to the Radio, which will give you more missions.
Starting at level 10, you move on to Cap au Diable and begin the process over again for a new set of contacts (and some of those will introduce you to more. Repeat at 20 in Sharkhead Isle, 25 in Nerva (or more in Sharkhead), 30 in St. Martial, 35 in Nerva or more in St. Martial, and 40 and up in Grandville.
Also, after running the Midnighter arc for Darrin Wade, you can run missions in Cimerora (starting at 35). And also at 35, you can start working the Rikti War Zone.
There's also quite a few unlockable contacts as well. You get them by getting various badges mostly. -

or if you're a villain, just make sure to log out in grandville
[/ QUOTE ]
Only if you are too cheap to pay the 10,000 inf price for a Raptor Pack from the vendor in Grandville. -
Are you at least level 41? If not, you will have to wait. Otherwise, when you level up or respec there should be an option (right under the "Choose from a New Power Pool" option) to "Choose from a Patron Pool", or something like that.

I supposedly have a frag grenade somewhere on my person, but I'll be damned if I can find it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Since everyone else has answered the question, I can now interject with...
Isn't that your frag grenade there in your pocket?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, he just really likes your avatar.....
[/ QUOTE ]
Hah. Well I guess it is about time to come up with a new avatar. Current one, I recall, was posted as a response to a thread that has long since been purged anyway... -
It's a shame Oriental has fallen so out of favor. It sounds so pretty and exotic.

I have the fear that someone might need one of those respec recipes, someone new to the game... so I refuse to flip them or price them high.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can stop worrying about that now. Now that we have dual builds, new players essentially have a freespec available to them right out of the box.
So go ahead and flip away on those respec recipes. -
All you need is a power that can take To Hit Buff sets. Put the IO in that power and you get the 20% perception bonus. (You are talking about the Rectified Reticle Unique, correct?)

Coffee, either black or with milk. I very very very rarely ever drink soda any more. HFCS is pure liquid evil

The Mission Teleporter (and all of your other powers) also instantly recharge when you switch builds. So if there's a convenient Trainer, it's only a 15min timer, not 2hr.
[/ QUOTE ]
It will also reset if you log off for a certain amount of time. Not sure how long, but certainly way less than 2 hours. -
[ QUOTE ]
The mission teleporter power comes with the Mac edition of the game which costs $20 to buy (but that comes with a months playtime, so if you were gonna buy another month then its only $5 extra). Similarly, when you buy the architect edition, you get either the Magic or Cyborg Booster packs with it along with a months playtime, thus saving you money.
[/ QUOTE ]
Specifically, with the Booster and the one month of time that comes with it, the Architect Edition costs negative $5.00. -

Now if I could only turn those skills to Real Life...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah but if you had all that money in RL, you wouldn't have time to play MMO's because of all the work you'd be doing.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why not? If you have all that money in real life, you can stop working and live happily ever after and will have all the time in the world to play MMOs. -

Speaking of which, can someone help me convert CoX to 8-bit? I wanna play it on my Atari.

They actually did even better. Check this out!

Now that brought back memories of the day when my Scott Adams adventure tapes and cartridge for my TI-99/4a finally arrived after waiting weeks.
Sadly, they arrived on the morning I had to leave for Boot Camp, so I only had like fifteen minutes to give each one a really quick try before being gone for 15 weeks (6 for Basic training and 9 for Tech School).

everybody knows that all casual players need to purple their warshade.
Jeez.

But Warshades are already purple, at least in their squid form. I thought you of all people would know that by now. Yeeshkabobs.

The Rikti Comm Officer farms were the MEOW farms. The name caught on because the majority of those farms used a cat girl contact and you had to save a bunch of cat girls as one of the mission objectives. The original mission created may have been called MEOW also but this is unconfirmed.
[/ QUOTE ]This is incorrect. The name caught on because the first (or one of the first) had "meow" in each of the required text fields (and nothing in any of the non-required text fields).
[/ QUOTE ]
Copies of the original mission did not though, yet they were still called MEOW farms. And I stated that the original mission was called MEOW but had been unconfirmed. Did you actually play in that mission? Can you confirm that it was actually called that or is this hearsay?
[/ QUOTE ]
Now now. That's not nice to try to entrap Agge.
I have to admit that when I first heard about Meow, it was here in the forums. And when Comm Officers were mentioned, for some reason I did not realize it was Rikti Comm Officers. I just associated Meow and Comm Officers with Star Trek: TAS, and thought someone might have managed to make a MA arc that was a tribute to Lt. M'ress. -

I hate how some of the feet are sooooo small.
[/ QUOTE ]
Even worse has been the trend toward manly size 17 feet on the ladies over the past couple years. So many otherwise nice looking foot/boot options have been rendered unusable because they are so huge. -

The same way they block line of sight to an enemy ("Haha, can't see me, I'm behind this chain link fence!") and weapons fire ("Flamethrower! Quick, squishies hide behind this chain link fence")
[/ QUOTE ]
Even more insane is how when your field of view as a player is blocked, but your character's view isn't. and that prevents you from targeting anything in front of you.
Example:
Character is in a hallway in an Arachnos base. He is facing an enemy in a hallway. He is standing in front of a support beam. However, he is close enough to the wall that your camera view is practically forced into first person and all that you (the player controlling the character) can see is the support beam the character is standing in front of.
Even though the enemy is right in front of the character, it can't be targeted because you the player can't see it. -
Can we please get the worktable from the Abandoned Lab as a base item (alternative to the normal invention table)?
How about making it unlockable as a personal item that can be placed? It could be unlocked by simply having the Field Crafter accolade. That might give a little more motivation for some people to actually put in the effort to get Field Crafter. -

And don't forget the Envoy of Shadow. My Fire/Energy Blaster was proving to be an unstoppable force up until that point. It was soooooo humiliating being spanked by 2 tons of roast beef.
