Haha ha! I was feeling a little generous and was handing out 5 Mil grants to some lowbie characters in KR and one of them turned down the trade when they saw it was for influence. I was just taken a little aback and thought, "Well, there's a first for everything." I asked why he/she didn't want it and they said they like to earn their way up. I have to admire that attitude.

Yep, that's pretty cool.

It's also cool that they actually answered you when you asked about it.

very nice. there are some that want there influence without handouts, some who want their levels without PL'ing, some who want to earn their influence for recipes and such recipes via heroic deeds instead of marketing and farming. No one way to enjoy the game and some still like to do it the old fashioned way.

You should have upped your donation by a factor of ten and then see if they stuck to their morals. Every one has their price after all.

Turning down 5 Million is one thing but 50? 100? That will get you near any non purple rare or fund most of a build.

Alleged conversation by Winston Churchill:

Churchill: Madam, would you sleep with me for five million pounds?
Socialite: My goodness, Mr. Churchill... Well, I suppose... we would have to discuss terms, of course...
Churchill: Would you sleep with me for five pounds?
Socialite: Mr. Churchill, what kind of woman do you think I am?!
Churchill: Madam, we've already established that. Now we are haggling about the price.

[/ QUOTE ]Not according to the in-game definitions of "casual" I'm familiar with:

"Plays less than X hours per day/week"

or

"Hardcore plays to win. Casual plays to play."

Now that brought back memories of the day when my Scott Adams adventure tapes and cartridge for my TI-99/4a finally arrived after waiting weeks.

Sadly, they arrived on the morning I had to leave for Boot Camp, so I only had like fifteen minutes to give each one a really quick try before being gone for 15 weeks (6 for Basic training and 9 for Tech School).

But Warshades are already purple, at least in their squid form. I thought you of all people would know that by now. Yeeshkabobs.

Morals? Maybe they just didn't want to be bothered with 5mm. Now if you were gifting packs of 100mm, then I'd be somewhat surprised if someone turned it down.

Ooh, a sarcasm detector. Oh, that's a *real* useful invention. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...t-sarcasm.html
