  1. It would be nice to see some non combat type skills added and utilized for missions. Things like actually hacking computers with a computer skill, disarming traps, finding secret passageways, being able to use detective work skills to get a different mission in the arc where you got the drop on the badies, etc.

That brought a smile to my face.
  3. I think it wont be so much different, just more options, you will generally take whats available for the most part.

As for corruptors vs defenders, in general I think I'd take the defender first if I didn't know the person for a team, more likely to get a player with a team oriented mindset and not a pew pew pew one.

I think that would be appropriate for the City of Manga game, not CoH.

Don't forget some creatures like the fairy pets, tiny clockwork, etc from the veteran rewards.

  7. I see it as a temporary state of events, following closely after a double xp weekend. I doubt current prices will be sustainble after I-16 hits as farming will be greatly impacted.
  8. Vitality Blaze would take it home as a pet, give it food with katnip in it, speed boost it and be entertained.
  9. Why not post a brief outline of your main toon, powers, personality, etc. and have contestants here on the forum write a short story explaining your main toon's exit. The one you like best wins.

If it's unique, I think you'd be better served by making it a "set bonus" IO like the LotG +rech and 3% +def IOs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And make it more difficult to get for the electric based ATs who haven't had an end modification set with damage ever, at the auction house, no thanks. Looking for a balanced set, not one of the "primo" ones.

    [ QUOTE ]
Something like 15% +recharge might not be too bad without completely imbalancing everything.

    [/ QUOTE ]

10% chance is the standard for +recharge, ala Force Feedback. I could see every regen and willpower scrapper putting on in each of their recovery toggles as is. 10% x 2 always on is more than enough. It may in fact be too much, if you consider electric melee.

    [ QUOTE ]
As to the 6 slot bonus, my recommendation would be to make it a 2.5% +def (melee/ranged/AoE) and 1.25% +def(s/l/f/c/n/e) just like the Gaussian's, otherwise I can see the set being used more for the unique/proc than for the actual set bonuses.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The gaol is to provide something for electric attack based toons more than have a set for everyone to throw in Stamina. I could see, for example, and electric blaster using the other 5 minus the unique and another piece (likely damage) in an electric blast as is.

That being said a Gaussian's bonus is not without merit, in my eyes.

Also thanks for all the feedback/suggestions.

Well you keeping it in theme you could still go like chance for disorient or smashing damage. I would say energy but you already got that .

    [/ QUOTE ]

Chance for +recharge (10% chance) might not be out of line, but set already does have a 6.25 recharge bonus. What the heck, I'll throw it in as an alternate possibility in the origional post.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
If it were a unique 6th slot, you'd be able to get away with a fancier 6 piece bonus like the Gaussian's 6 piece.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good point. But was looking at Numina's Convalescence, which has a unique and a +3.75 positional bonus as a model.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
I don't like the unique in the set as it eliminates the possibility of stacking the 6th bonus. Other than that, it's interesting.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was keeping in the theme of the other sets named after signature characters, all of which have either procs or uniques. A proc might be a viable substitute as well.
  14. Isn't about time Synapse got his own IO Set? And Isn't it about time Electric Oriented Power sets had an Endurance Modification/Damage set? Why not kill two birds with one stone? Here is how I envision it.

    Synapse's Capacitor 30-50 Endurance Modification

    2) +2.5 Recovery
    3) +3.13% Energy Resistance
    4) +5% Movement Speed
    5) Recharge +6.25%
    6) +3.75 Ranged Defense/Energy and Negative Energy Defense +1.88%

    1)End Mod/Accuracy
    2)End Mod/Damage
    3)End Mod/Recharge
    4)Acc/Dam/Recharge
    5)End Mod/Dam/End/Rech
6)Unique Slow Resistance (20%) or Chance for recharge (10% chance)

    Best Mob Killer

    Dark/Spines is great for it.
  16. You know, I may be weird, but I really don't care in the least if a player is male or female no matter what their toon looks like.
  17. More scrappers because its the most solo friendly AT generally speaking.
  18. Most favorite: Paragon Protectors, with proper team awareness you rarely face a MOG

Least favorite: Knives of Artemis, not particularly challenging just annoying.

    Brute or Tanker

Rather play a tank, I'm all about team play.

Rather play with a tank, unless I'm on a tank or a scrapper that can pick up the pieces for the team if the Brute dies.

    Rejected!!!

very nice. there are some that want there influence without handouts, some who want their levels without PL'ing, some who want to earn their influence for recipes and such recipes via heroic deeds instead of marketing and farming. No one way to enjoy the game and some still like to do it the old fashioned way.

    98 Sketches!

Thanks for taking for time to do a sketch for me Alex. Incredibly nice of you to put yourself out for us all.
  22. Nice guide, only disagree about the utility of Grant cover. I'd rate it an 8 or 9 teamed. although a 1 solo. With it you can help the tanker and nearby scrapper's survivability, help keep that squishy you run to save alive if your first swipe at the baddie doesn't kill it, or use in combo with other shield tanks and scrappers to make a formidible anchor in the middle of a grouped mob, each of you helping the defense of the others.

For me this was one of the major appeals of the set, a scrapper set that provided a very useful buff to other members of the team, something truly distinctive.
  23. Don't know if its been mentioned or not, but I'd like to see decorative specail effects. Things like ground fog, dripping water, a ghostly mist, a fiery wall, icy ground, a mistical vorex, falling rocks, etc.
