After GR: Expected AT demand increase on teams
I think all ATs will still see plenty of use.
The min/max, DPS crowd may well favour certian mixes more than others, but most people, I would imagine, won't particularly mind. We won't see any particular AT shunned into nothingness, I know that much.
And all VEAT teams will STILL be glorious

I think Defenders will become a rarity. Not because demand would be down, but because Corruptors do more damage, so it would make those solo times less tedious.
Overall, I do not see much of a change from your typical Co-op zone team. But, then again, I am primarily a red side player. There's not as much AT prejudice red side as blue. We take whoever we can to fill the team. Heroes not so much, too many have to have that "holy trinity" to do anything.

I'd love to disagree with you but I really, really can't. Defender buffs are nice but for most sets the extra buffs a defender brings aren't as nice as the extra damage a Corrupter brings (past level 38 anyway, at lower levels the defender will win out a bit due to earlier access).
I am another who thinks that all AT's will still see equal use.
There still remains a part of me that thinks stalkers will still remain useless. (I'm joking.)

Seriously? I'd expect the Soldiers to be the VEAT of choice (huntsmen double leadership is wonderful, mwahaha, although they don't have buttcapes...and for some reason my female soldier doesn't have the chest or collar piece anymore, I guess those parts got bugged by the costume devs somehow), and Corruptors to replace Defenders since they can, like, fight and scourge stuff. What do defenders get? "Oh, if this guy's HP is redlining my heal to him costs less. Yay?"
At least we all know Kheldians will continue to be the least played AT, though

I think the assumptions in the OP are just that, assumptions. For every team that "needs" a Controller over a Dominator because of their added durations, there will be a team interested in killing speed who will appreciate a Dom's ability to be ease the alpha strikes and kill things before the duration of their CC wears off.
There are two sides to every coin, and one thing CoOp has taught us is that every AT has something to contribute, and there's no reason to seek out one over the others when it comes to most content.

This game is just easy enough to be able to truthful boost that no one AT or CLASS is required at all at any time in the game.
So what i'm saying is, min maxers aside, 99% won't care what you are so long as you can play. *shrug* The only way we'd see an AT shift would not be from a teaming aspec, but an ease of use stand point. Defender *may* be effect a bit when people relise that Corruptors are just as effect most times in teams for support as defenders but a bunch easier to solo.
Outside of that. Just more verity. And verity is good IMO.

Edit: Sorry, I enjoy my defenders and scrappers, and it gets me really PO'd over the idea of come Going Rogue we're going to get swept under the carpet and booted from teams because it sounds like people like the OP and some others in this thread will see them as only scrub tier ATs compared to villain side. Huh, this is probably my first DOOOOOM! post ever.

Please bear in mind that I enjoy playing almost all the ATs in the game, and I'm not "out to get" any specific AT, even if I think it may be unfavorable for teaming under new mixed villain/hero teams. Some ATs are incredibly fun to play even if many teams may not want them as much.

The only time it will matter is for the LRSF and the Abyss Raid. Hero ATs have special skills sets that can be leveraged for those tasks.... and will.

Please bear in mind that I enjoy playing almost all the ATs in the game, and I'm not "out to get" any specific AT, even if I think it may be unfavorable for teaming under new mixed villain/hero teams. Some ATs are incredibly fun to play even if many teams may not want them as much. Here are my predictions:
Those that I think may see an increase in demand:
1. Brutes--With their damage output and survivability, they may begin to eclipse scrappers on mixed teams. Also, in teams where multiple buffers are present and crowd control is less necessary(teams with lots of defenders, etc), they may become a preferable alternative to a tank.
2. Masterminds--Another good mixture of damage and survivability. With defenders on their teams, their henchmen will become an even greater force and harder to kill. They may steal some of the thunder from tanks.
3. Controllers--Better crowd control than a dominator (outside of permadom), buffs comparable to a corruptor.
4. VEATs (specifically Night Widows)--Better damage and survivability (in many cases) than a scrapper, plus a team defense buff.
5. Defenders--Better buffs than a corruptor, teams with lots of masterminds and brutes will definitely find a warm place for them in their black hearts.
These are just my predictions. I'm curious to hear what everyone else thinks. Thanks!
