Scavenger hunts - Give individuals or teams one hour to collect level appropriate drops - recipies, salvage, and enhancements. The idea would be to street sweep or run missions to collect these items and the team with the most splits "X" amount of infamy. I think it could be really fun, but I don't know how you would keep people from cheating by just buying the items or getting them from friends unless you had a volunteer you trusted stay with the team the whole time.
A Master of Disguise contest - You make up a costume in a spare costume slot and gather the contestants at the University in Cap Au Diable. You switch to the contest costume and give the contestants 30 seconds to study it before you switch back to your previous costume. Then the contestants each have 5 minutes to get to the tailor, and do their best to duplicate the costume, including all pieces and colors. Whoever comes closest wins. Of course to make it fair, you'd have to avoid using any vet reward, unlockable, or booster pack costume pieces. ETA: Upon further reflection, I guess most people would just take a screen shot of the costume, so memory would not play as big a part in the contest as I had originally envisioned, and I'm not sure how you would prevent that.
Concept contest - You come up with a concept/bio for a character and have the contestants create a costume to fit that bio. Whoever's costume(s) you feel best fit(s) the concept, wins.

Why not post a brief outline of your main toon, powers, personality, etc. and have contestants here on the forum write a short story explaining your main toon's exit. The one you like best wins.

Give some to me. I'll buy and slot purple and PvP enhancements. Then every time I kill one of your numerous PvP enemies, I'll hit the following macro: "/b PT's money bought the enhancements that killed $target. Thanks, PT!"

Anyway PT if you do something as gay as a costume contest for that money, I will lose some respect for you...and why would you want to give ALL your money to some random NubS in this game...it seems it would make more sense to spread the wealth to your friends & the people that truly made this game a experience for you...not some random Rp'er w/a good outfit.

I'd have to go along with the departure story idea that Chuut suggested.
Sounds like the best idea. Not as inclined to controversy or commonplace as a costume contest, not as awkward as a pvp competition and just flat out better than the rest of the suggestions.
I'd also recommend just heading ingame for a little while here and there and just making on-the-spot gifts to people whos costume/name/bio you like. Get some ingame action before you go.

I also made a Fort build for Dominique. She does fine, still, but I really have to run run run when I get in trouble. She's very squishy. Your Fort's enhancements would be an upgrade over most of mine; I only spent about 300 million. Which beta did you get into?

As for me giving away my money, myself and others have come to the conclusion that it would be best to just keep the money for a rainy day incase CoX ever decided to get its head out of its butt and start making things more interesting for a dying game engine. There are a ton of things they could do to make this game more interesting. But ever since they introduced AOE the game has become a joke. Anyone and everyone can get a 50 in two days. The powersets are old and out of date, think its time to maybe install 20+ more sets to keep the game interesting, and how about some higher level content, other then player created. As I log in months later after quitting the only people I see are the ones who play the game for its social aspect, or just the ones who still and always will love CoX. Little by little the game is dying, and the only thing keeping people playing is like I said the social aspect. Specially being on a RP server. But eh, Fallen Earth is proving to be a very fun game and its nice finally to tear myself away from MMO's that have Auto-Attack and Auto-Aim.

My VG? No no no no. My VG is just me. "Fatalists," not "Fortified." Dominique is the Night Widow wrecking everyone in PT's "Zone PvP 02" vids. Last time the leader of Fortified said anything to me (as far as I know), he "accused" me of playing like you and PT. (I guess he's still carrying a torch for you, PT. )

. It was always funny they had to call in people from all corners to outnumber us just to have hope of beating us. The so-called leader was already perma-banned and allowed somehow to play again. Then just recently perma-banned again, if what I heard was 100% true. I still fine it funny he thinks I took place in any of those petitions that got him banned. I don't think I've ever petitioned a person in the game besides one idiot who made a death threat towards me that no one knew. Silly kids who play games and have anger issues.My accounts expire in the first two weeks of sept. But the majority of the fun we had on this server will go down as one of the best times I've ever had in a MMO. I had a blast, and it was a honor to play by the side of some of the best PvE/PvP'ers I've ever seen in many MMO's. We had a great two year run, and the friends I made from this game is priceless. Some of the best people I have ever met over the net.Wolves of War will always be around. You can always find us on our forums, and as time goes on we will only grow more. You know its funny someone came up to me yesterday while we where PvP'ing and asked why I was so "legendary." I found it funny because its been asked in different ways over the past weeks. New players constantly asking me who and what I did. The Planetay Traveler name is etched in stone on virtue, and that was never my goal.
So to all my friends out there in CoX if your reading this. Never give up, and just keep fighting the good fight. Stomp out the griefers and extinguish there flames! And just remember that if you ever need me just light up the PT symbol in the sky and I shall come! ROFL

I've been playing this game for a very long time. Since release actually an have had around 5 accounts over the past years, 3 of which I forgot there account names and passwords because I would play one year for a month or two and quit. At first I'd have to say this game had issues, and over time it got better and better. But as with everything, things eventually die off. With new MMO's on the horizon (Fallen Earth, Champions Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Global Agenda, Star Trek Online, DC Universe, and games like Diablo 3) I decided it is time to move on and at one time I was very dedicated to this game. So from all that dedicatation I'd like to give a little back to the community that made my experinces such a wonderful time. I know prices have jumped in the past months and 1-2billion isn't what it used to be. But I'd like to give it away to whoever can win a contest that I and the Wolves of War will host. Maybe even some extra few surprises for those who show up. This is of course Villain side only.
The problem is the only Idea I can come up with that would be fun is a Massive Costume Contest. I'd like to hear some feeback on other ideas. This event would take place between sept 1st-4th before both my accounts expire. I might come back in the future, but the very distant future.
