1. Name: The Winter Gala

2. Description: A black tie Winter event. The Theme is winter holiday. A chance to dress up and celebrate the season with heroes and villains, and maybe pelt someone with a snowball.

3. Date: Saturday December 19, 2009

4. Time: 6PM - 12PM est

5. Location: The Ski Chalet in Pocket D, Virtue Server

6. Requested DJ(s): Crypto, Angel, and Others who are interested

7. Musical styles: Seasonal music and DJ's choice

8. Contests/Competitions:
Six costume contests:
Best Winter Holiday--( Winter Holiday secular/nonsecular)

Best Couple--(We asked you to come dressed up , now we are going to award the best looking couple)

Best Team Concept--(3-8 team members,dressed according to single theme, for example a team of reindeer, elves, or three pigs and wolf, seven dwarves.)

Best Hero/Nemesis Duo--(a protagonist and antagonist,for example Satesman/Lord Nemesis, Abraham Lincoln/Jefferson Davis)

Best Hero--(best look for a hero)

Best Villain--(best look for a villian)

DJ auction -- The Cape is offering up an hour of a DJ's show to be scripted by the highest bidder
Team Auctions -- teams of up to 7 to complete a TF, Trial, or Story Arc (AE or regular)

Scavenger Hunt-- A set of clues will lead you to find characters hiding in the Chalet, find them all for a bigger prize

AE Challenge -- (details coming)

A PVP event -- (lvl 5 free for all and lvl 50, free for all 20 min fight)

Trivia Contests -- Holiday, CoX game lore, and Comic Book Trivia

Is it a black tie (formal) event or a costume event? Having costume contests at a black tie event seems somewhat out of place.

It is a tradition that the Winter Gala is a black tie event. Yes, there will be 6 costume contests you can participate in. One of them is a formal couple contest, where we will reward the best looking couple in their formal look.
