So what's your drink of choice?

Vaguely inspired by the PUI thread, but this is the virgin version. ...No, not that, we're talking "non-alcoholic" here. What beverage can most often be found on your desk when playing? My prediction is that Mt Dew will have the edge, but I've seen plenty of people claim to spray Diet Coke on their keyboards when they see a funny too, so who knows. If it's Red Bull, that's cool, if it's water, go you, if it's "Nothing, man, I keep liquids away from my keyboard", I hear ya.

My drink of choice lately is Mt Dew Voltage, a raspberry-and-ginseng concoction that seems to have me hooked. Sadly, because I like it, it won't last, and in fact already I couldn't find any cases of it in the store yesterday (though to be fair I only went to one). Like Surge, RC Edge, Mello Yello Afterglow, Pepsi Twist, and Stacker 2 Cola, it's not long for this world, thanks to me. Otherwise my primary answer is Dr Pepper, and I can always go for a good ol' Coca-Cola if there's nothing else. (And also a heck of a lot of iced sweet tea in restaurants, but I suck at making it myself.)

And while I have your attention, I'll admit the real inspiration for this thread: Mt Dew Game Fuel. Despite the blatant WoW imagery on this product, I picked up a 20-ouncer this morning. (I'm a dirty philanderer, I have no shame.) And I gotta say, it's okay. Nothing incredible, but it's good. Dew had the same basic product a summer or two ago, but it was orange then and had Halo 2 on the label, now it's this funky blue color and has a Night Elf (I think). Tastes the same though, so my memory says.

At any rate, my secondary question is, what flavor does CHV inspire? Can we come up with one?

My personal favorite beverage of choice is a Dewdriver. It's pretty much a Screwdriver (equal parts vodka and orange juice) with MtnDew instead of vodka (because I'm a horrible teetotaler), which is where the drink gets its name.

I will say that I too love me the blue Dew. I get as much as I can whenever I go for groceries, but I will have to agree that it will be painfully short lived, which is strange because everyone I've had try it, loved it. It's the first 2 liter to get killed at all of my weekend D&D games.

Pepsi... It's the only liquid I imbibe other than accidental water when showering/swimming/talking while it's raining. It makes my Frosted Flakes fizz like crazy too.

My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw

Predominately, my drink of choice is coffee. It's a dirty, nasty addiction that I'd try to kick the habit of.. but they keep coming up with new flavors and stuff, or I keep discovering old ones that I never really bothered with because I don't experiment all that often or tend to default to Ye Olde Folgers. Like, lately, I've discovered actual Kona coffee, and I heartily recommend it to everyone that's interested in coffee at all. Dunkin Doughnuts and Starbucks are also classics, but they just do not compete with Kona.

Somewhat less frequently, whatever fruit juice happens to be on tap the week in question. The past week or so, it's been Hawaiian Punch Island Guava, but before that I went through a few periods of cranberry juice blends that were adequate distractions. Good, healthy, and a much better way to get sugar into the system then generic juices.

Rarely, soda or an energy drink will end up on the desk when I get a craving for carbonation, and don't really care much how I get it. Most frequent winner is Tab, followed up by Barq's or Amp. Mountain Dew tends to slide into first place when it's available, but I'm not usually in control of the shopping and don't really care what I drink as long as it's fluid and contains at least some water content.

Water, by the by, is also on a daily required list, but usually goes in just 2-3 shots, and thus never has a lasting presence on my desk space.

Just a note for you on this. I've noticed that the Pepsi people are marketing Mt. Dew and Pepsi in a "Thowback" brand which uses REAL SUGAR. Not sure how long it will last .

A HOOGE glass of ice water. I mean absolutely GIANT.

I keep it away from me keyboard though, on a shelf that is conveniantly close, but not so close that I could accidentally fry my electronics.

I will also indulge in some pink lemonade if it is on hand, or a soda (rare, but but possible).

Not long. Most don't like the original formula since it doesn't have the citric acid in it like the version most grew up with. I got 4 flats of it 2 months ago and I am FINALLY down to the last bottle. It was all they had to supply me in the warehouse for my Pepsi order. They also did a Mountain Dew throwback version too.

A sidenote, I run a small grocery store so I talk with the Pepsi salesman so I get all the dirt.

Rats. I was hoping someone had come to their senses about that. Ah well, it's not good for me anyway.

I'd recommend trying a Costa Rica peaberry coffee as well

Beautiful fruit and floral accents in the aroma and flavor! You can actually tell it was grown on a plant

My favorite drink USED to be Fruitopia. I used to guzzle that stuff by the gallon... but I haven't seen a single bottle anywhere for over 5 years now.
