Change the colours of my macro's text plz!
Bold, no. Not sure about the color changing anymore.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
well, i searched this document http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/dosw...roes_macro.txt and found that apparently i should add
<color red> right after the channel name, ie local. With a space. It didint work.
Last I checked the color tags only work when actually entered into the chat line.
for example, i tried this
ccemote 0 CCSpin$$local<color blue> BLUE SWORD!
It didn't work. no matter the spacing.
Edited for cdn spelling.
This has the information you want, but the tags no longer work in custom binds or, to my knowledge, macros. Unless something has changed you can do a work around by doing the tags as a "header," i.e. beginchat <color #0000ff>BLUE SWORD!, but you will have to hit enter after clicking the macro.

[/ QUOTE ] As long as the <> are placed automatically (including beginchat), they wont work. You'd have to hand-type it every time, which defeats the purpose of a macro or bind.

Just tested the begin chat bind I suggested and it worked fine.

[/ QUOTE ] People have been complaining about the beginchat colors not working since i12. If you have an old bind that was created pre-i12, it should still work, but like you said, any bind created after the chat system change will convert the <>, and wont parse as a command.
I'll admit I haven't tested it myself recently, but if this is true, there will be many people very happy. I would have expected a celebratory post about it by now. lol

I logged in entered "/bind f12 beginchat <color #0000ff>BLUE SWORD!" I clicked f12 and then enter twice (not sure why but hitting it once only put the curser in the chat bar) and got a white buble with blue letters.
This isn't the first time I've gotten it to work since the tags were broken, believe I did it just after either i13 or 14 went live but not certain. At that time I was able to get manual typing and and beginchat to work, only direct speach binds were broken (i.e l <color #0000ff>BLUE SWORD!).
Also of note, if you /unbind the f6-f9 the defualt emotes work properly too as long as you don't load a bind file with them in it ( I set up the key map I wanted saved it then deleted those from it and loading that doesn't break them).

[/ QUOTE ] I also recommend this to people. All too often I see people yelling out with the broken code.
People don't always realize that using /unbind doesn't really unbind a given key, but sets it back to it's (unbroken) default.
Oh.. and you have to hit enter twice courtesy of the new chat bug. Using your example, if you pressed f12 and tried to type, nothing would show up. If you press enter again and then re-open the chat, the message you tried typing before will finally show up.

I find that bug amusing after playing on the Market for awhile and having the composite of all my sell prices shows up.
And it's really annoying when you hit ENTER only once and start to type, only to end up leaping up and down, opening and closing various windows, and then suddenly rushing headlong at whatever it was you had targeted (usually a Giant Monster, or Arch Villain...)

That is a rite of passage in this game...
One that I revisit far too often!

[/ QUOTE ] I turned off all of the window toggle binds except for chat (I need that to chat while in base edit mode.. though it's seldom used)
So, im terribad at macro's, but along with the magic booster pack came those costume change emotes, and I have these three macro's ;
ccemote 0 CCSpin$$local BLUE SWORD!
ccemote 1 CCcast$$local RED SWORD!
ccemote 2 CClightning$$local YELLOW SWORD!
I want to change the colours of the text to match the macro's, and bolden them also if at all possible. Is it?
