I'll be here until the lights turn off, but as sad as it may seem to outsiders CoH has been my virtual "home." I hope more information comes to light soon, and that somehow the game (and community) can still stay around.

Well, now IS the time for the devs to come out and tell us what the remaining Incarnate abilities were GOING to be LOL

Slick, I played Earth and Beyond up to the very last disconnect. I still miss that game and was not looking forward to that experience here.

Wow. I guess I picked a bad time to come back and get addicted. I've been gone for years, back for a month, was having a blast. I feel like I've been punched in the gut.

Honestly shocked and saddened. I love this community and the game. Any free time I have is spent here on the forums or even playing around with the character creator coming up with costumes just for the sake of it.
The CoH Twitter account has posted the link to it. Posi made a tweet saying "Farewell Paragon Studios and CoH".
It's been a wonderful ride for over 8 years.
I'm sad to see it come to an end.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Wow. I- I don't know what to say. I haven't logged in for a while, but this game has meant a whole lot to me over the years gone by. I've had fun, I've made friends and for a while City of Heroes even helped me find someone special. I'm truly upset to hear that it isn't going to be around forever.
I guess now we know what the coming storm is.
Very Very sad to hear this. CoH was my first MMO love and I always drop back in. Au Revoir

This is a sad day indeed. I've been playing this game since the first wave of beta invites of CoH. I've seen a lot of things change over the years, but it was always fun to come back and play like a Superhero. This game just has a wonderful way of making you feel strong when you go up against a big group of enemies and emerge voctorious. Whether it was done without a scratch, or with a sliver of life left it was always fun. I was here for the 3 day CoH headstart and I'll stick around till the last hamster is taken from it's wheel.

I can't believe it. I just started playing again after a year's break. I hadn't realized how much I missed it until I starting playing again. And now it is going to be gone for good? Noooooooooooo! I was really looking forward to seeing issue 24 and beyond. I am in shock right now.
Can I ge tthe number to NCSoft so my boss can ask why I started crying out loud in the main office?
