•Explosive shuriken (single target with chance for splash DoT)
The Blaster one looks really interesting in how well-rounded it seems for Blaster needs. It reminds me a lot of how Ninjitsu is for Stalkers.

And now the Blaster Secondary just needs a set to go with Archery to round it all out (which will pave the way for a mild Trick Arrow revamp hint hint hint hiiiiiiiiint.... hint)!

Its a teleport aoe damage power yes but when used it instantly recharges and can be used another 2 times before its normal recharge time takes affect. This power can be used to say teleport into a group, nuke and then teleport back out very quickly. It also has a 120ft range

Yes, damage and it instant recharges twice so you can essentially use it three times quickly, like jump into the middle use your nuke jump right out then back in to finish off anyone left and its range is much longer than other aoe teleports. I think it was 120' maxed.

It looked kinda like the ninja run stance and just -instantly- appearing where the marker is placed. Just -zip- -zip- and so on

Yes, they showed it (Zwill used it repeatedly, hehe). I'd say it was within the first 15 minutes, or there about... But I'm just guessing.
They got pretty quickly to showing off the Blaster Secondary. It was the first thing after saying Hellos, stalling and all that.

Looks like a nice set, don't get me wrong....but is anyone disappointed that a "ranged" AT is given secondaries that are "melee range" for activation?

I could see re-doing my Archery/Devs blaster with this powerset (not that I ever would!!!!) and it's fit into his "natural theme," but.....I want secondaries that are actually ranged.

Ranged is a MAJOR benefit to avoiding death for blasters. At least the way I play mine



Meh, wake me up when secondaries are actually ranged (or, like the mez protection, can be used at a distance and be benefical still.)

If they weren't disappointed by Blasters having Melee attacks in May 2004, I don't know why they would now.

I'm super happy to see these sets coming and I think they're doing a great job.
I have to be honest though and say that this Blaster secondary isn't quite what I was hoping for in a Martial Arts secondary.
I think the main offender for me is the first (have-to-pick) attack, Ki Push.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great idea and should be an awesome power (and many people will enjoy it... and even I will with the right concept).
It's just well beyond (enormously beyond) the "natural" set of powers some of us have been craving for a Blaster secondary. That is my only "complaint" about this. It's not really a complaint though as much as just a slight/tiny disappointment that this secondary is not the secondary I was looking for... move along.
I say this because the attack is a Repel and not a KnockBack... so, it creates this slow, lift and carry away the flailing enemy... I realize now, it's actually a great substitute for Force Choke, hehe...

I just would have preferred something (that you're forced to take) to be toned down for either concept... but they went with the Bullet Time flavor.

Still, I think both sets will be great additions to the game.

Honestly, I love what they've done with the Dominator Assault set and have to admit to wanting something along those lines for Blasters...

Would have loved some shuriken goodness in this secondary.

My level 50 uses Ice Manipulation and except for the dreadful T9 power, I'm pretty happy with it. Ice Patch offers a lot of safety and control, and Shiver comes in very handy when I'm teaming. Also, I'd rather have a full-blown buildup power than what was shown today.

So, no, Ice Manipulation isn't "pushed out." It could be better than it is--and it will be in I24--but I'm not sweating it compared to martial combat. But who knows? Nobody has played martial combat yet.

mostly? no, but it is a mix. And Martial arts has been oft requested as a blaster secondary.
