Now if only they would stop showing King of the Hill...

This would be the result of playing with my emotions...

I've already had to remake this world twice, I shan't be wanting to do it a third...

Looks like they are simply rebranding Saturday midnight to Sunday 6am block as Toonami. Maybe we'll get more Toonami like filler than hawking their Sunday night lineup.

They have 1 reason to stop showing King of the Hill: To please you and what appears to be a minority of their viewers, based on ratings.

They have 259 reasons to keep running it: The size of the catalog of episodes to run. King of the Hill is the show with the least amount of rerun burnout from the 2 episodes per weeknight format that they've been using for the last 2 years. Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen have grown so stale from repeated reruns in that format, while King of the Hill has run through all of their episodes maybe 4 times.

To sum up: Get over it or watch something else for that hour, because King of the Hill isn't going anywhere.

If that's the same minority that hates Squidbillies and thinks Cartoon Network should stop with the live action crud then I'm in good company. It's bad enough that an idiot majority has practically ruined the Sci-Fi channel...

And that was 8 times too many.

Yes, I have to find something else to watch for that hour. It's annoying. It was a bit less annoying at 10 PM.

Boy, just when I thought I was done with anime... and I've been hosting Grindhouse movies at my place Saturday nights on nearly a weekly basis. Guess I need a DVR.

I can tolerate King of the Hill up to a certain point. Not sure what Season it started, but it started when Peggy just became a full time unbearable know it all witch. Earlier on she was easy to drown out and ignore, but as the series progressed all I could think of is driving red hot pokers into her eye sockets.

Ya, she was a killer for that show. I waited for Hank to turn to her and say, "Ya know what Peggy? I'm sick of your ****. Shut the hell up for five minutes so I can wonder where I went wrong with Bobby."

All well and nice, but since I'm not into Bleach and all the other shows have already run their course, this still won't give me much of a reason to watch. If they start running some of the older stuff I haven't seen over and over for several years, or if they get some new stuff they haven't shown before, then maybe I'll tune in.

Also, I like King of the Hill too. But even with its huge number of episodes, reruns are starting to get to me.

Maybe some magical girls?

Although i guess it really derpends on how much CN is actually willing to spend on content. While some new anime would be nice i expect they'll go mostly with rerunning old favorites. In the end it won't make that much difference to me since i haven't had cable in quite a while, just broadband, and there's already plenty of places to watch stuff online.

Still, Toonami was an old favorite of mine.

Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

Well, Adult Swim has also announced that they are "developing new original anime programming for fans."

Whatever that means, exactly. Just a fancy way of saying they'll be licensing more recent dubbed anime? Or they'll be trying to create American-made psuedo-anime shows like Avatar?

Probably some half-***ed anime-esque equivalent to Tim and Eric

Anything Tim and Eric-inspired would necessitate renaming the segment Toonarrhea. Those guys need to leave the universe asap. They are a blight.

If I remember correctly CN partially financed Big O.

CN Co-Financed the Second Season of The Big-O. IIRC, while the show wasn't a big hit in Japan, there was more than enough interest here for CN to pony up money to get the second season made.

Otherwise...
I'm still a bit skeptical about a revamped Toonami line up. I wouldn't be surprised to see elements of the current Saturday Night Anime Block remain in the Toonami revamp.

Thank you for the time...

FMA and FMA: Brotherhood in the lineup seems kinda... redundant. I know that the two series diverge after a while, but that's still a lot of FMA.

Goodbye, I guess.
