Oh I imagine so. Personally, I would've preferred Pulp, and out of the top three probably would've preferred Aquatic. More my own style. But I'd be content if they gave us a chainsaw.

Another suggestion that seemed quite popular was film noir - and it can overlap a bit with some pulp styles, so the devs know that costume parts from that era would probably sell well.

So no Egyptian or Tribal?

I am just not sure how we don't already have pulp costume options. It seems to me it is already well represented in the game. The Retro Sci Fi is like the final nail in the pulp coffin imo.

Zwil's throbbing forehead vein in every session: "What part of 'Speak into the mic' do you not understand?"

And I voted for paramilitary costumes, as strap-on tech and weapons and pouches could be useful in so many designs.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

Aye, I imagine strap-on tech pieces would be especially popular with the Pocket D crowd.

. . .
Or the people who remember Centurions armor.

There was sort of a tribal pitch done, but it was poorly done. Sadly a lot of this is relying on the pitcher's public speaking abilities.

Powers is the exception to that. I love Synapse, but I think he already had his heart set on Rad Melee/Armor.

Zone revamp: Independence Port.

Make Your Case Zone Revamp!

Introductions. World Artist whose name I didn't catch, the "Whedonesque" Protean, Dr. Aeon (Zwil suggests renaming "Body Count" or "Refrigerator"), World designer who built the Summer Event, Think Tank, and Positron.

Ground Rules! With picture of Phoenix Wright.

1) No complete zone revamps
2) Maximum of three villain groups (maaaaybe four)
3) Six arcs per zone
4) Keep the physical alteration to a minimum

He lays out some details. What is the focus of the zone (Like Mot Cemetary in DA), What is the story arc (in 3 sentences), some others.

The idea I liked of those proposed was the Clockwork Fortress in Boomtown.

But they went with Independence Port. They're not promising anything, but they think out of those proposed this was the most intreguing. Trying to involve Lusca more as a Crey experiment, the Family/Tsoo war, the Column/Council War.

I really couldn't take notes on this one.

Also, they mentioned several times that this isn't a "We'll revamp IP!" or anything. They promise nothing. This is more like a thought experiment, really.

Eh. Personally, I think that seemed like the weakest case. The Striga revamp sounded great, Protean sounded on board for it, and Posi even wanted to make it co-op or a full on villain zone. The pitches for Shadow Shard and Eden/Hive going co-op were great too. But I guess more hero only stuff works too.

I got the idea the IP revamp was separate from what the players were suggesting. Aren't we getting an IP revamp and a revamp selected from the player suggestions?

I got the impression they'd already decided to do Indy Point, especially since they prompted the presenter about cutting the zone in half and lore/arc details.

They were all lumped together, so I didn't get the impression that they'd settled on one before hand, or that they were going to do more than one. The IP one just seemed really half there and the panelists sort of filled in the blanks for him and then went with it.

Story and endgame panel is pretty much just discussion and questions, asking players what they expect the Battalion to be and what makes us feel epic.

Lil disappointed, was kind of hoping we'd get a Dark Astoria-ish reveal for the endgame, but oh well.

Really it was all like what they said it would be, less about big reveals and more about just interacting with players, which is alright but far less interesting to a lot than the last one was. But it shows that the devs are listening to our feedback and willing to adjust things to fit that or trying to probe what our expectations are to better serve them.

So, it's over. It was ok. The power panel and costume panel were probably the most interesting, the rest of it was mostly stuff that's been on beta. Thought he leaked sets might've caused more stir if they, y'know, hadn't been leaked already >>

Well, No answers on the two things I wanted to know the most. Will we ever get the rest of the CoT costumes, and will we get the Black Knight armor in the store?

Please devs take pity on me and my inability to attend and answer these questions.

Kinda hoping we'll see Throwing Weapons down the road since it took second, but for the near future, I'll be happy with water blast. Been waiting 8 years for that one. Perfect combo to me would be a Water Control/Water Assault Dom though.

I agree - although I'm extremely mad not one red size zone argument was presented (or if there was I was AFK when it happened). IP is soooooooo not a zone worth the time right now.

I'm also pretty disappointed with that crowd in the room for voting radiation armor over throwing weapons. TW would have been a GREAT powerset to build with the playerbase. RA is pretty limited for optionable design in comparison.

Ah well.

Not I, what I want to know more is how many accounts have bought multiple, how many accounts owned by the same person/family bought them to see if they are wide sellers or by small group?

Very stoked for the Radiation Armor, Post-Apoc Costume Set... and was hoping that a more interesting zone than IP would be tossed around, but I do love Lusca, so that could actually be cool.

I get the distinct impression that they carefully pulled people away from ideas they already had going so as not to rehash, but perhaps IP was an exception? I can all but guarantee that Boomtown and Shadow Shard are already 'on the radar.'
