Sorcery Power Pool?

You gotta see this from the dev's perspective, too. I get the feeling that the development team is going "Oh CRAP! Zwil, get on it nao!" because the development team actually says "nao" whenever they say now. The best laid plans of mice and men...

But regardless,

ONCE YOU SAY IT, YOU CANNOT UN-SAY IT!

There was another set alongside the Water control and Psi Melee.

Looks to be some kind of Shapeshifting nature based powerset with Prowler From (Stalker style) and Hunter form (Scrapper style) which, judging by the description, use the new popup tray tech along with a few other powers using the same colouration as those two powers, suggesting a set is indeed in the works or possibly a new AT.

Just head onto Beta and type [Prowler form] to check it out.

Badge Earned: Wing Clipper

A real showstopper!

Just say no to the origin specific powersets!

I strongly doubt that these will be limited to origin only.

Also, given the theme, I'd expect to see other pool sets similarly themed after origins, much like the super boosters were.

As of its name- i look forward to see what it could be.
actually it interests me very much because it s a new pool power set. we havent added a new one of them since launch. This intrigues me greatly.

oh and add me to the group that says please dont make these origin bound, this is a very good thing for letting people feel less restricted by the primary/secondary set up of the game, I love it and hope that it leads to something, heck, lets go crazy(and i repeat, this is just speculation, i dont know nothin, nor do i claim to) but if they are working on power pools, might they finally be looking at giving us customization? well, not betting my inner child on that one, new pools good, and for a few of my chars this is could be a a set i will be rerolling and taking on concept alone.

I don't see why they would be origin bound. Power Pools are the tricks you pick up outside of your normal abilities. That's why the medicine pool uses a tricorder.

A bow can be a lot of different origins, except mutant, and even that is possible.

Sorcery however is explicit and so are demons. 'Sorcery' is supposed to work by explaining how you do the powers the game has now!

In other words, 'yes' to all. My point, though, was asking what switches a human over from being 'natural' to 'tech'. Using a large stick as a blunt object, at one point in time, was the most brilliant idea any human had ever had... but now no one would think of a person carrying around a stick they found outside as a "tech" hero. In other words, the divide between "tech" and "natural" is "whatever the hell the person wants it to be"!
Reminds me of a character I ran into on Virtue at one time - "The finest scientific mind of his time - his work with fire and stone tools was revolutionary!" He was, naturally, a caveman-themed stone/fire brute. I think his origin might have even been technology.

You really shouldn't be doing either.

Christ, do I miss actual closed betas. Some info might've leaked out, but at least most people involved weren't under the compulsion to go running off to City Life to yammer on about every thing they saw that wasn't yet ready for beta testing.

Stuff is leaked all the time even during closed BETA's.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Difference is, many of those leaks - which are usually of things in very early development - don't make it out closed beta except in small trickles. For some reason, people see "VIP beta" and think it's fine to smash open the pipe and turn a leak into a full-blown torrent or water. And that kinda irks me.

You may not think this correct, but I think the evidence is already on the table for this theory.

The devs set this stage for people wanting more information that they incessantly hint and tease about over and over as a marketing strategy and the chickens have come home to roost.

In that vain Natural Affinity(Natural Origin Pool) and many others are being revealed on BETA right now.

Maybe we are looking at the start of Origin related Pool Powers?

Appropriate?

Personally... I've always figured the Devs intentionally would let some stuff slip through. It's a good way to do viral marketing (at least within the CoX community). Of course, the downside being if they accidentally let leak something that they're still unsure about and just toying with or things like that.

Although, seeing as it's the i23 beta, now doesn't seem like the right time to bet letting things "leak" because we've got lots of info from the beta itself.

Sorry, I didn't read the whole thread - I missed where it had been brought up previously.

You don't think that this stuff is going to be bouncing around the live server channels too?

Hybrid isn't even linkable on Live, I doubt any of this other stuff is.

I'm talking words, not links
Just look at all the excitement over the Staff Fighting and Beast Mastery leaks - that's only about a quarter of this I23 leak.
