Semi spoiler I suppose but...

I don't think Yin's pet is supposed to be a member of the Freedom Phalanx before she joins officially.

Oh, not fair, Penelope Yin has psionic weapons. I want those. And some other cool psychic attacks I've never seen and a really cool looking pet.

what about the nerdrage post about how spending money on anything you can do so easily in game is silly.

I hate doing tip missions (especially the ones that arent hero>hero) more than almost anything else in this game and I still wouldn't spend even 100 pts to switch alignments when I can do it so easily in game.

Rage? Nah. But now that you mention it, it does seem a little excessive. I assume it's for the same reason the devs gave when renames/transfers were first made available -- that the $10 wasn't so much to make money as it was to make sure you're really, truly serious about it and keep people from using them on a whim. So if that's the case, I can kind of see where they're coming from with it. Still, those were things you couldn't accomplish yourself just by doing missions, so the price didn't seem so steep to me.

Either way, I don't think they'd be of any use to me at any price, so... eh. This week I'll save my points, I guess.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

Rage? As far as I see it, it's a quality of life feature. Can either trade in-game time or real money to swap sides. I'll most likely never spend real money to swap sides, but it doesn't offend me that it's there or that others might spend money to do so.

Seems a little pricey though, but then again, that seems like much of the Paragon Market items intangibles/consumables, so nothing new there.

Heh, I'm waiting for the over the top posts. The ones that protest "false advertisement", "I'll Sue", "Wait'll the BBB here abut this", and "That's it, I'm cancelling my sub!". I get such a kick out of those. My favorite was in a thread that got deleted around November where a poster stated he couldn't afford the store prices because he and his wife only made 70k a year.

*SPOILERS*

On it's own, this chapter was alright for story development. But the thing that bugged me was this came right after one of the biggest moments in CoH history. Statesman had died. But it just felt like it almost completely ignored that. Aside from Nemesis attacking Portal Corp, which was kinda out of left field, no real mention was made of it. At least villain side, that is. You'd think your street cred would've soared considering your villain was at the scene when it happened, and I doubt Darrin's come forth to claim responsibility.

As for the story itself, all I gotta say is I'm more interested in "Who Won't Die" than "Who Will Die."

Yeah, I want that pet for my psi/magic characters and her assorted psi powers are pretty impressive.

Or change the name of the story to "how MANY will die?"

"I don't think anyone will be choosing (arrest) when it comes to Wade, if given the option." After playing through the arc, with my friend, I can tell you emotions are currently running high. Just... speechless at this point.

*Spoilers*

Slight bug at the end of Mission one, Penelope seemed to want to keep bouncing back and forth between the final elevators instead of just helping me.

Otherwise, not bad. Bit predictable at the end, Wade had already said at the end of 5 this would happen (Not how, but it was a pretty big tip off) So when you take off instead of facing the 'assassin' right there it just became paint by numbers. Could've played it out slightly differently but eh. Kinda sad, at least it wasn't spoiled in the friggin press release before it even came out.

Now I'm just wondering if Penelope's powers are meant as a sneak preview or if they're 'signature powers'. The psychic blades looked -pretty- neat. And isn't her pet one of the Void Storms from the Minds of Mayhem trial?

10 to 1 bets that Manti goes out in an attempt to take out Wade. Also wondering when Wade is going to get taken over by the Well. You -know- it's going to happen.

As far as story goes, I kinda liked the missions for this one. Penelope wasn't a bad addition, it was cool seeing her in action, the missions were varied and nabad (Though, really, Psyche can't let me stealth? REALLY? oi.) I liked how Tykra was brought in, even if we still know nothing of her.

As far as farmability, I still think Episode 5 is my fav, just quicker to do and I get my incarnate goodies.

Hm. Question regarding Alignment Change Tokens, do they affirm your status as a hero/villain, or do you have to go through the rigamaroll of doing the tips again even after using the token in order to be able to get A-Merits?

The redside version of WWD part 6 actually has a nice additional part unlike the previous arcs.

Not just those two things up.
Most of the rare sets have been added back to the market too, without a time-limit, although they're at full price now.

Main Hero: Mazey - level 50 + 1 fire/fire/fire blaster.
Main Villain: Chained Bot - level 50 + 1 Robot/FF Mastermind.

That expresses my state of mind perfectly when I saw Manticore draw his bow.....

Edit, Actually, now that I think about it, this gif portrays my feelings when I try to decide what defensive bonuses I need to use for my Resistance toons..I kid you not

My instant assumption is that no, they probably would -not- affirm your status as a hero/villain for the purposes of getting A-Merits. Look at it this way: for all the game knows you may have a character use these tokens that has never actually done Tips before - why would they both switch your alignment and affirm your status at the same time?

Obviously someone could simply experiment with this to prove it one way or another. I'm just saying I would not automatically assume they do both without proof.

The only real reason the Devs originally gave us the "10 Tips to change alignments" system in the first place was to limit our ability to flip-flop between being a hero and villain every 5 minutes anyway.

As Doctor Roswell said the "priceiness" of these alignment change tokens is simply another method to keep people from switching too often. The Devs don't mind us switching - they just don't want us to be able to exploit some kind of game system that quick flipping might allow.

Does this mean my villain can become a hero in the middle of a mission and destroy the cauldron herself?

I'm guessing: no.

Yeah I have to assume they made it so that you can't be in a mission or a PvP zone while using one of these Tokens. You probably can't be in Ouroboros or a SG base either. But like I said before it might be worth experimenting regardless - I'm sure someone will try all these things soon enough.
