Z: "All the folds and wrinkles are a part of the texture."

ZombieManCoh: No, the dress can't take a pattern, nor the shirt.

NS: "Inspiration for the hair, we don't have a shot right now, people have asked about cooler, longer, more modern hair for guys. It has a tintable section in the front where there are two locks that are dyed."

Z: "Kind of J-pop-y. Not full on anime. BUT NOT EMO!"

NS: "There's one pair of shoes in this set, female only. It's kind of like a strap boot made up out of ties."

Z: "Strappy heel, kind of a modern Hellenic sandal type of thing."

The kind of transparent bit on the female leg is pretinted a little bit.

There are two versions of the female hat, one where you can color the red and the gold, while the hair stays black, and one where the gold stays, but the red and the hair are tintable.

Z: "It's Broadsword and Katana, I don't think we have one for Titan Weapons."

Z goes over t he things that have come out recently and are coming up. Pretty much everything except Claws and Shields has gotten something recently, or will be getting something soon.



Z: "This will be for the Brony pack, if Beastyle gets his way."

NS: "You know how Jay has that one thing he will absolutely never do? This is mine."

Z: "Positron has clowns, you have this."

Z: "Maybe you could make some of the more popular ones. Like with dents and stuff."

NS: "Kind of hard to get that for everybody."

Z: "I'm one of those lame people that as a kid read everything, including the dictionary."


TANGENT: Zwill was on one of the later episodes of Win Ben Stein's Money.

Z: "For the interesting thing about you, I mentioned that I played Diablo 2 for 72 hours straight. Ben said you should talk to my son, as he was played Everquest so much that he was sent to boarding school to get him away from the game."


The jeans are tintable, not just blue.


Some talk of having a quiver to go with the new bow.


Sleeveless version of puffy jacket?

NS: "Not in this set."

Z: "There would be nothing but Marty McFly clones."


Rularuu set like the Roman set?

Z: "We've talked about it."


Pretinting on the Imperial armor?

Z: "It's not intrusive, but there are some places where artistically we need to have pre-tinting. Like with this, it's meant to be a mesh panel."

NS: "For some pieces it makes sense, but this little space is meant to be mesh. But we're not going to make a habit of it. Even on the concept art we're keeping that in mind."


Retro sci-fi pack is a go. It's been officially greenlighted and it is actively being worked on.

They're talking about doing the player costume design thing at the next player summit.


Double XP weekend?

Z: "Well... not quite a weekend. But soon we'll see."


Legacy chain pack?

Z: "We know it's a desire, and there are some technical issues about getting those items on PC's."

NS: "We've seen a pattern that people are interested in the NPC-style conversions.


THERE IS A SLEEVELESS PUFFY COAT! But it is not on Beta.


Why can't the new dress and shirt take textures?

NS doesn't know, that's beyond him as he's a concept artist.


Chest details on backs?

Neither knows the technical reasons. But Z is pretty sure that they're running out of 'nodes' to attach it to.


Ultra mode glow for chest emblems?

NS: "I don't see why not. We have 3D chest details."

NS: "It's all in the texture. I don't see a reason why we couldn't do that."

Zwill sings: "You got the Glow" from the Last Dragon.


Rambo costume set?

"Like what? A mullet with a bandana?"

"Tank top with dirty arms?"

"Really big machine guns."

NS: "And a face that looks like this."

NS does a weird sneer-scowl type of thing. Zwill can't get his face to do that.


Imperial Dynasty sword with a dragon rather than a bird?

NS: "I know some other ones were concepted, but I don't remember if any others made it in."

Z: "I don't think they did."


War Witch?

Z: "She's been really busy managing two teams. Maybe closer to I22."

Z: "Also beta for I22 arrives Imminently, T M."

Z guesses it will be about summer time for the sci-fi pack.

Love the costumes, but I'm disappointed at what looks like a trend: limited unique pieces for male characters, with significant proliferation and unique pieces to female characters. While I can appreciate the precarious situation the costume team is in with the uproar caused by the Gunslinger pack, the problem wasn't that there were unique pieces on both sides but that the themes weren't consistent.

Please, begin to make unique parts for both sexes again under consistent themes. Between this Chinese Dynasty and the Sash/Carnival Costume packs, things are heading down the other extreme with just as passionate resentment building for those of us who value our male characters.

Chinese dynasty warriors-style costume sets, I approve in an aggressive fashion. but dave...thats still not a cheongsam, c'mon man, please, i gave you a bunch of reference pics even!

also, can we squeeze any new claw patterns in at some point, the sword thing is kind of becoming a thing at this point.

beyond those quibbles, love both sets and will buy.

Those Chinese outfits..WANT!!! I'm happy that everyone gets access to the armor, I would LOVE to see a unisex coat based on the magic bolero tech, seriously.
I'm not as over the moon for the clubwear, but that dress might have some mix and match use.

Glad to see my comments got in there.

I also made a query about a VIP weekend instead of a Reactivation weekend round about the same time as the DXP bit. Tech not available to do it but maybe more offers like the low-cost starter purchase just before Freedom launched.
