The copy tool appears to be working. I have been trying it every day and today it worked. I have not yet checked to see if the copy was actually successful, but the copy tool itself said all the right things.

Nah not for Paragon Studios, we don't get patch notes for at least five hours after the servers pop back up, maybe a day or two if they feel extra lazy.

I was half expecting a thread with them just going "well . . . . you know" about it

I like how they didn't even bother to post that it was delayed/whatever.

It's sort of like, "Well, you didn't actually think we were going to do it, did you?"

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Well, just avoiding it is less work than posting "We don't give a ****".

It's a labor-saving measure.

I hate to admit that I've been keeping score.

My apologies for not posting yesterday.

I've got a pretty set in stone policy that I never post about something when I'm upset about it, and yes, yesterday's delay gave reason to pause.

As of right now we're tentatively on for tomorrow for another attempted deployment.

You need to go over there with a big mallet (titan weapon!) and threaten until they get it right!

Oh god don't call me that. The last thing I need is to be encouraged to be any grumpier.

If worse comes to worst, let me know. I can be on a plane to Seattle tomorrow afternoon with a Thompson SMG, a couple big cans of Mace, a stun gun, and a really large mallet.

This seems to be a motivational issue at this point. I'm REAL good at motivating people.

They keep postponing the maintenance cuz they're saving up for some proper software that actually works!

I was going to make a snarky comment, but couldn't figure out a good way to word it without being far more insulting than the joke it would've been intended to be.

Suffice it to say that I do not agree that this is the reason.

Actually, I think disagreeable and grumpy would make him the Harlan Ellison of CoH. Being disagreeable and grumpy and scary looking would make him the Alan Moore of CoH.

Being disagreeable, grumpy, cynical, and sarcastic while disliking traditional superheroes would probably make him the Warren Ellis of CoH.

Being disagreeable, grumpy, intolerant, and monomaniacally obsessed with a single cause... would that qualify for Frank Miller of CoH?

You also need people to unironically call themselves his "filthy assistants."

I think the canonical characteristic of Frank Miller is a complete disregard for proportionality. If Miller wants to show "doughnuts are bad" on the comic book page, a character will eat a doughnut, choke on it, stagger into traffic, cause a car to skid off the road, carom off a telephone pole, crash into a Dunken Donuts, and explode. While two hookers standing outside catch fire.

Tomorrow's excuse will be ...

the entire web team took the day off to Christmas shop;
the entire web team took the day off to play paintball;
they thought GMT stood for Ganymede Time;
got confused over the date format so scheduled to do the update on the 12th day of the 16th month;
it's half off free internet access at Starbucks;
they all caught the midnight showing of the new Sherlock Holmes movie and slept in;
they left to catch the first matinee of the new Chipmunks movie;
they forgot the admin password to the forum (I swore I wrote it on a sticky note somewhere).

I think if they postpone it again, it's entirely likely that Zwillinger will go bananas and there will be smack laid down somewhere, on someone.
