not worth the bother. My original post not the big weapon set.

I think Zwillinger said something being 'very very disappointed' if anyone made Final Fantasy clones. And you wouldn't like Zwill when he's...disappointed.

So why does it feel small even when it's not?

The answer is actually quite simple - the weapon is close to half hilt. That is to say, almost half of the weapon's total length looks to be hilt. This is a problem for a couple of reasons.

1. Proportionally speaking, having such a large hilt-to-blade ratio makes the weapon feel unbalanced and also makes it short. By putting much of the weapon's weight behind the grip, it makes it feel like less of a cleanly swinging weapon, and by putting the grip so far forward, it makes the weapon feel shorter than it is.

Ideally, I'd like to see weapons with longer blades and about that length of hilt, as a weapon's length is really mostly measured past the grip if the dominant hand. From the right hand forward, that sword is a little short.
I'd have to disagree with you there; in fact, I believe the longer the blade is, the longer and/or heavier the opposite end of the weapon needs to be to balanced. Look at the positioning of the wielders arm in the OP's picture. His left hand is acting as a fulcrum, while his right is pushing down on the grip as a lever in order to keep the weapon more or less horizontal; he'd have to apply WAY MORE force if he had to move his hand closer to the fulcrum.

That weapon is probably proportioned about as practically as can be for an oversize chopping weapon that needs to be wielded fast enough to mince tiny Rikti Monkies.

2. The weapon doesn't have enough blade
That weapon is clearly long enough to go through zombie torsos stacked two rows deep.

In fact, I'd like to see a weapon that, when stood on its end, brought the gripping hand up to the character's shoulder level, if not higher.
See my first paragraph.

Selecting Titan weapons should disable long hair, trench-coats, the colors black and red, and the cool down weapons should involve a panting animation.

It's 106 miles to Grandville, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing faceless helmets

... Hit it ...

I have a character set aside for Titan Weapons, but that screenshot is a turn off for buying it. I think I underestimated how goofy the weapons might look to me. Hopefully it'll be different looking for axes, or have cool animations.

That shot looks like I could spend a lot of time with my weapon clipping through walls, which would suck.

Yeah, it would suck...for those walls!

I think its not possible to pair Titan weapons and Shield defense.
Will love to have a comment about this.
If we cant, I will level a scrapper StJ/SD.

Two handed weapon set. Therefore not usable with shields just like all the other two handed weapon sets.

Isn't Bruising a tank ability?

Now i could be wrong, but it looks to me like that would be the Titan Weapons equivalent of the Parry animation.

This is what gives me hope for the set. I'm not a fan of anime, so I was hoping that we would see more realistic Titan Weapons. Zweihanders are ridiculously large, but still weildable. This sword looks to be the same. I won't use that sword model myself, but it won't bother me when other people do. I couldn't say the same about a straight port of a buster sword from FF.

If we wanna go full-on nerd, most 'greatswords' aren't actually very heavy. Usually somewhere around 5-8 pounds, since they have to be wielded by humans and everything. Now, it's a bit different to just hold 8 pounds vs swinging it around, but still.

No. Brutes complained that they still don't outnumber Tankers by a large enough margin and the devs agree that stealing Fury from Tankers was cool back in the day, so Brutes will be getting Bruising in i22.

In exchange, Tankers will gain an auto taunt power that randomly removes Inf and valuable recipes the Tanker is carrying and automatically distributes them to any nearby Scrappers and Brutes.

That sword looks terrible. I doubt they'd release it looking like that, though. Could also be the in-game lighting, I suppose.

Also, I think its totally unfair that l-isomer proteins were preferentially selected in the Precambrian. If you want to be a d-configured being today, you just can't. And if you can't even choose your own chirality, what's the point.

Hey, thanks for the name-calling, but no, I hate the whole concept of running around with a giant weapon. Thanks for playing, though!

I feel the same. Plus, when I see a sword like that, my mind assumes it must be made of Nerf and it loses any impact.
