Quote:I'm not blaming anyone for anything. Yes, it's called City of Steam but if one takes more than a cursory look at the game's information they'd quickly be disabused of the notion that it's a "Steampunk" game. Or they'd be disappointed that it's not a "Steampunk" game. With a name like City of STEAM, are you really blaming people for misinterpreting it? It's not City of "Industrial Age Fantasy"
*pushes up my glasses by the taped up bridge*
I still find it funny that nobody in support of this game can't take simplest criticism without turning hostile.
And who are you calling hostile four-eyes? -
It's not a steampunk setting though, it's an Industrial Age Fantasy with the emphasis on fantasy races and classes using Industrial tech. If you can't see the you're not looking or just being obtuse.

What does this have to do with CoH & CoV General Discussions?

I liked it since post-Apocalyptic fiction is right up my alley. I'm just not gonna think about it too much it since it really doesn't stand up to that. I'm not gonna get too attached to the show either.

I'll keep on in CoH until the end of November, probably not as much as now and hope the City of Steam beta starts up around then. And I've been thinking about checking out Star Trek Online so....

Adam Christopher's Seven Wonders was released on August 28th. I have not read it but plan to since I enjoyed his book Empire State. More info about Seven Wonders can be found here: http://angryrobotbooks.com/our-autho...m-christopher/

Quote:You could at least mention the titles and authors.I've noticed two new superhero prose works have been released recently
I recently found and read The Union of Heroes by Paul Batteiger as an ebook.
A young legacy hero stumbles across Villian team in action, gets beat down, approaches a retired hero who dismisses him until events force them to form a group of their own.
Really enjoyed it, it turns some superhero tropes around and gives a look at the logistics of organizing a supergroup. -

Sure, make Silver and Golden Age costume and weapon pieces but make them limited time, Tier 9 VIP items.
-
Any chance that there can be seperate threads for these shows? W13 doesn't start here in Canada until September 7th while Alphas starts tonight. Kind of annoying to try and participate in discussions while also trying to avoid spoilers.

A good old fashioned Annual.

Keep on having fun Ultimus and ignore the wet blanketry.

Quote:I've watched the show and made the connection when I first got Hellewise's mission. Ksenia is uncommon enough a name that either one of the devs is a fan of the show or the actress plays the game and got Tuckerized.anyhow getting back to the question that the OP asked, I do not see Bo in hellewise but I definitely see Kenzie in Ksenia
There's no way to make a connection between Hellewise and Bo that I can see however. -
Ellis was joking about the majority of the cast being Australian (in an Australian shot show) and the costumes which tended toward leather, vinyl and lots of buckles.

I was on the fence about whether or not I was going to watch this season but I did tune in for the premiere. None of the character's stories (and they packed in a lot of storylines) were sufficiently compelling to me to return to next week to see where they go next.
And some, *cough* Tara *cough* are just beyond stupid. -
That's interesting because I enjoyed the heck out of the Night Ward. My level 38 scrapper was occasionally challenged but mostly went through pretty easily. The worst of it was when I bowed to teammate pressure and upped the difficulty just in time for waves of ambushes at the Midnighter mansion.
Edit to add: I'm pretty sure some of the missions do have the warning to bring friends. -
The Last Run (a Queen and Country novel) by Greg Rucka
For Heaven's Eyes Only (Secret Histories) by Simon R. Green
The Janus Directive
and others whose names I don't have handy -
"Edmure Tully: A brash young member of the Tully family."
Isn't Edmure Tully Caitlin's not that much younger brother? They make it sound like he's Robb's age.
I also heard they've had readings for Vargo Hoat. They may be losing the lisp. -
Oh Wretched Man. And most of the other lower level villian arcs. My latest red side character seemed to get to level 20 really fast and then it was tips to read through the new stuff there, a couple of the villian SSAs to see that side of the story and then First Ward to do it non-Ouro style.
TBH, I haven't played a lot of villians so there are big chunks of red side I haven't played even once. -
Excellent episode, lived up to expectations but...
No song for the Hound? -
Quote:You do know they have sci-fi series that will be airing new episodes soon and other sci-fi series in development? I'm looking forward to Defiance.I just have to hold out and hope to god that whoever replaces those calling the shots at sci-fi are replaced with people that actually @#$#@$ like the format it's SUPPOSE to have in my lifetime, if not? Kill the channel. It's been braindead for years anyway.
Very few specialty channels stick to their "supposed" format anymore. -
