Roman Costume Pieces for sale

I love the Roman costume pieces and they work quite well for many of my character concepts. I rarely find myself with the opportunity to run the ITF, however.

I wonder if the powers that be would consider selling them on the market as they did for the Vanguard pieces. It would be nice to be able to use them from creation instead of waiting until late in one's career to use them.

I would also add that I'd like the holiday event pieces be made available. The ITF-locked pieces at least you can get anytime you get past level 35 and can run the trial. The event pieces you might have to wait 11 months before you can get, depending on when you make the character.

I agree. All the character-specific in-game costume and weapon unlocks should become account-wide store-bought costume pieces. This includes Witch's hat, Roman set, Rularuu weapons, Astral/Empyrean pieces, etc...

Before any player or Dev can object, let it be know the precedent has been set: The Vanguard set is in the Store. The level 20 capes and level 30 auras are in the Store. These were in-game locked by level and content, but are now purchasable account-wide. Put 'em all in there, please.

Add me to the list of people who will pay real money to get these pieces from character creation.

One of the supposed advantages of an item store is providing the opportunity to purchase (vanity) items instead of having to grind them as in-game rewards. Naturally, it's up to the devs' discretion as to which pieces would still require playing effort, but come on, how many times have we begged for account-wide unlocks on such items as the Nemesis Rifle?

I rather they stay the same..They seriously don't take much to unlock once at the right level or done the requirements..i.e ITF ... before then you can just make a earlier version of yourself like i have done..it's not like you don't have the slots for them anymore..

Exception would possibly be the event items..but then if that was the case...i want the event activities to change and be different to compensate the fact we can get them at anytime via the market ... i still don't believe though we should have everything available on the market cos it just lessens the stuff we get during the game time.

Zombie Man is right. Items locked behind merits are now available in the store. Items locked behind content completion are now available in the store. There really is no reason why it all cannot be in there.

Although, here's my guess: they are saving those things to be released as weekly releases. For now, since Freedom and the store is still very new, they are front-loading us with genuinely new stuff (CoT, Barbarian, Street Justice, etc.), but I bet we'll see some of these items released on "off weeks" where they want to give us something, but do not necessarily have anything new ready to release.

P.S. I agree with Techbot regarding the Vanguard back piece...

I'd like to see more of the gated costume pieces available for permenant, Lv1 access for some point spending. It's not like you can't get them for free otherwise just by doing the content as it was originally.

I've always hated having to wait til 35 to realize a concept, so I just avoid rolling anyone that can actually use the pieces. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of making them Dev's?

Give us access at creation please, I will buy it.

What, doesn't take much other than having to get to 35, get into Cimerora and then finish an ITF?

Sorry, but for everyone harping on about 'Oh, levelling is so fast' and 'Oh 1-50 in a few hours is easy, y u no play better?' there are some of us who DON'T level fast, either due to not missioning 24/7, real life interfering or many other reasons.

Also, thematically, it makes no damn sense. Do you HAVE to go back in time to specifically loot a set of armour from these particular Romans? Why not, I dunno, have some made in the here and now? It's not like we have laser guns and energy swords and alien techn-ohwait...

And hey, everyone wins! You don't want to pay for it, so don't. Those who want it without having to crawl to 35 on every damn character they want it on, can pay and have it now. Simples.

And the hip plates belt they have as well. Seriously, a friend was in RWZ revamp Beta (I11? I forget) and, due to a bug, those pieces ALL got released for PC use. And they ALL fitted fine! On every model. VG backpack, VG belt with hip armour, the works.

And now, even though backpack tech is officially possible, we STILL don't have it? Come the smeg ON already!

I'm with TBA on this one, waiting 35 levels (which takes me a while) and also running an ITF (something I've actually never managed to do, still) is not trivial or easy in any sense of the word. Giving the people who want to use the cossie pieces for a concept character at character creation makes sense and would generate some income for Paragon Studios and NCSoft.

Roman costume is just the armor... Not lot of pieces.
Some weapons and done.
So, they should add the sibils basic tunic, sandals and wristbands cimeroran civilians wear, tunics for males too, Daedalus pegasus shield as back part...
Make a bundle worth it, not a costume set with even less pieces that CoT set has.

Oh yes! There are a few romanesque costumes and patterns you can't get in Cime, like the Spring fling toga and sandals. Sandals in general since Men are apparently not allowed anything similar to them until they get the Samurai costume set!

I'll /sign as long as this general suggestion throws in the being able to purchase the special costume temp power codes that were handed out over the years during various conventions. It's one thing to have content gated behind in-game levels or task forces but it's a whole other thing to have content gated by whether or not you were able to travel cross-country (or around the world) to get to those highly limited one-time venues.

They were in the store, until they were removed for 'datamining' or purposes similar. I.E. something wasn't working with them and they needed to fix it. Afaik.

The costumes you're talking about were available during the various Halloween events. What I'm talking about are the special ones that were only available via the codes they've passed out during conventions or other meet-n-greets. Those codes have never been available any other way.

I definitely agree.

Having to wait until halfway through a characters career to get what may be a defining costume piece is ridiculous. I've always advocated costume parts being account unlocks, but charging the player a few paragon points makes much more sense now.

Plus, I'm not a fan of characters wearing inappropriate witch's hats or roman armour for bragging rights, it often just looks silly. Badges are way better for that.

So you want to screw the rules as you have money?

Why not make the incarnate Armor at lvl 1, why not make IO's all available from lvl 1, All TF's at lvl 1, ouro at lvl 1 why not just have everything at lvl 1 cos u have money and u clearly dont want to work for or have anything later on in the game?

See vaild reason ? ... well thats how i see it anyway..forgive me if im old fashion hehe.
(tho i do see the logic behind what you say i just feel somethings need to stay later on or we have nothing otherwise...if their willing to replace it (i.e. make it so u get the armor at lvl 1 but put something in its place) then thats kool). But with the cape n auras already being given the power to get at lvl 1 it's becoming..hmm what do i do now i've hit this level...there's nothing new

Point twisted.

Costume pieces are entirely cosmetic but defines characters quite well, any chance to have to only earn them once for future character concepts is a big plus. Whether it's an account-unlock after achieving something in-game (like Incarnate stuff does) or by a single point purchase like you can do with the Vanguard costume pieces.

Story content, enhancements and such are not cosmetic, they give you funds and increase your power. Plus there's no balance concern with costume pieces like there is with story content and enhancements.

Yes, because that has **** alll to do with money and all to do with "you have to be THIS cool to have shinies, because we SAY SO, bwahahahaha!"

The 'incarnate' armour is the most stupid, bloody pointless and obnoxious locked piece EVER. Period.

None of your other examples are valid. Go figure.

Maybe they'll be added when/if they get costumes in the store working right.
