I don't know if this names are still available before today's server publish took place, but i know some of them are. If you manage to get any of these, i hope you enjoy them!!

Did they seriously get rid of the ability to check names from the character select screen, or am I just blind?

Yes the name check function is gone from the select screen. Hopefully it will get added back.

We do this thread on Virtue, not sure how common it is elsewhere, but basically:
- If you are playing around looking for a character name and come across some cool ones you don't use, you can post them here to help people out.
- If you delete a character and you think the name might be wanted by someone, you can say you have released it, or will soon if anyone wants to PM you and claim it.
- If you need a name for a specific concept, you can ask and some creative name types can offer suggestions.
- If you have names you have characters for, but aren't particularly attached to, you can post that you'd consider trading them

I don't believe the idea of the thread should be "Hey, I snagged these names and I might be willing to make a deal and here are some names that I'm NOT willing to trade."
The idea was that if you found a name that was available and you didn't claim it for yourself, or that you had a name and are willing to give/trade it away, that you would post here.
See the Virtue Name Watch Thread for reference. It's grown to just about 13,000 posts of people sharing names. Not too bad for an RP server.
There are a few other name threads for bragging rights

I did "fix" the post so that folks who misunderstood and assumed the worst such as yourself have an easier time of getting the purpose of my post.
