Dr. Graves has one of the best lines in the game.
See my signature.
'nuff said.

I was in RV on a villain over the weekend, helping someone beat up the Signature Heroes for the badges. I actually saw someone not on our team - a hero. He sent me a tell, commenting that he hadn't seen anyone in there in a while. He was there to capture pillboxes.
We had a nice chat about the history of the pillboxes and heavies and our experiences in getting our badges.
tl;dr version: Not RV. -
Quote:Quite true. This is interesting and cool, but the scientists who put the game together did all the hard theoretical work to make it possible. The players were essentially used as brute-force processing power. The same players would have had no chance at all to solve this problem without the scientists.

Quote:hmm......There's bound to be several tributes to Doctor Who and the Time Lords (sounds like a British Invasion-era band)

Quote:Yeah, but you're going to try to persuade us anyway, aren't you?Gang, I hate to tell you but people are going to believe what they what they want to believe regardless of anything that's said on these forums.
Quote:I've said before in this thread I think some of the prices are reasonable and others are horrendously overpriced and guilty of price gouging (like costume slots #6 - #10 for $10 each). -

Quote:I know, right? Darn those crazy devs and their haphazard *ALPHABETICAL* sorting. What madness will they introduce next???- In storage containers (salvage racks and enhancement tables), the order in which items were listed was changed. And, the order can no longer be specified by the player.
You see, I like to organize the items in my storage containers. (In particular, I like to group IO sets.) After I21, that order was re-arranged automatically, jumbling the items in a haphazard way.
I tried to re-arrange the items and restore my preferred ordering... but, nooooooooo! The items automatically snapped back into the post-I21 order! There was nothing I could do to change the haphazard, automatic ordering! -
If you mean there is no dev who is 'the base person', that's probably true. If you mean no devs at all ever work on bases, you're mistaken.

Quote:It makes perfect sense and it's a widespread practice. It's not poor business and it's certainly not insane. Of course, there are all just hyperbolic ways of saying that you don't care for it.Same thing im at the limit. Not sure why there would be a limit im the card holder, im an adult, and i would like to give them my money. I find it insane and poor business to have a limit. I for one would never buy stock in a company that limits the sale of virtual items. IT makes no sense whatsoever

Quote:No, you didn't. You got 4 Prestige Sprint powers that all start with "Prestige Power" but you did NOT get Prestige Power SLIDE.Um... *raises hand* I got the Prestige Power Slides without ever buying CoH: CE. I got it by being a 12-month Vet.
They all do exactly the same thing - make you run faster (and all at the same speed). But each has different visual effects. -
I definitely use them. They're like SOs at level 1. Since they're as good as SO's, I don't replace them until I slot IOs for set bonuses around level 35.

Quote:Someone commented in another thread (and I agree) that if someone 'stole' your name, get their global and petition. If they just happened to get a cool name first, tough on you. But if they are camping a dozen 'high profile' names and have a dozen people file petitions on them . . . well, that looks like a pretty strong indication of deliberate harassment to me.All that can be said for sure is that some people were faster on the naming draw than others. being certain about malicious intent is pretty much impossible barring a /tell from someone saying "neener neener, got your name".
Just my opinion, but if I had an oddball name like Grim Grey Snorkler and it was already taken, I'd assume it was deliberate. If you were trying for a name like 'Midnight' (which a friend of mine actually has on one server), you're out of luck. -
I'm of two minds on this:
1) Having already bought everything else available, I have nothing else to do with the Astrals.
2) But what if they add more stuff to buy? -
The only problem is that the new password must conform to the new password rules. My original password does not have numbers in it. I'll wait for them to fix it.

The badge requires inflicting 10% damage. The merits appear not to have any restriction at all. At one GM fight, I got there late and hit the GM ONCE. I got the merits but not the badge.
-
Bingo. Even after spending a ton of time out of SG mode for the influence badges, my badger is almost to 4 million prestige (without buying any). I'm not inclined to start over.

Yeah, if there's any chance at all that you might need more than one per month, buy it. You rarely see a 90% off sale.
-
Realistically, it doesn't matter. You can post here to see if other people are having the problem. You should really file a /bug report in-game to get the information to the correct people. Or, send Zwillinger a link to this thread so he can bring it to the attention of the proper department.

Quote:That's the key phrase. Another hero standing right next to you will see different NPC's and enemies in the area - unless they are on your team and a mission is active, then everyone sees the same thing.phasing allows you to see different things than people who are doing other tasks.
Re the thread topic: Oh joy, spawn camping comes to CoH. -
