Neat. You had plenty of stuff to cram in there and managed to cover it all in an intriguing way.

Aside from the fine demoediting and shot selection (as always), I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the unsung people who help out D_R by appearing in her videos of team events. Some of the most exciting shots in this trailer, for instance, were simply of teams moving in a fairly synchronized way around the Underground Trial. Thank you to D_R and all her helpers for another fine trailer. (And something to watch while I wait for the servers to open up.)

Nice, very nice. It shows pretty much exactly what I21 is about, and it looks good. Hm, this video might be good to show to people who used to play the game and see if they want to stop by and see what's going on now.

beautifully done.
Admittedly, I still think my absolute favorite was Going Rogue, but this one was definitely a very close second.

Though I do wonder if it'll be easier or harder to do some of these trailers with updates coming smaller and more frequent.

(If I could, I would probably make a street justice trailer when it launches that uses lots and lots of retro fighting game sound effects... >.>)

Yes. This, a hundred times, yes. I have always tried to thank the folks on my film crews because filming you guys makes the missions REAL. It's not just a bunch of demoedited models doing stuff in sequence - it really has the chaotic feel of "CHAAAAARRRGGGEEE!!!" (or in some cases, "RUN AWAY!") that makes missions fun. And you guys are very patient about the weirdo chick oohing and ahhing at everything as I go through and film stuff.

So yeah, it really is about the players.

That's exactly what it's for - if you've got a blog or whatever and you want to show it off to people to say, "hey, check THIS out - you need to get back into the game!", then by all means!

That is the very reason that this might be my last ad... with stuff now to be constantly released on the Paragon Market (once it's up), keeping up with this is going to be HARD. I was carving time out to make this at the expense of playing, socializing, and more often than not, sleeping.

Now if someone were PAYING me to make these... so that all I had to do all day was make ads... that'd be another story.

But we all know the likelihood of THAT happening, don't we?

I love the new Sewer Trial... I will eventually learn that standing on the fire sigils is not the smartest idea when trying to film it.

The music ("Power" by Esolate) was actually a custom reworking of Esolate's music. Originally the track was about 2 minutes long, so I dropped Esolate a line to see if it could be redone for about 4 minutes. You guys got the end result, and this is now the final version of "Power".

I'd like to thank Michelle, very much, for giving my signature main character, Redlynne, an appearance in this video ... from 2:43 to 2:48.

Yeah, it's all of 5 seconds ... but it's a totally awesome shot and location, and the action/direction just feels *totally right* for how The Extraordinary Death Defying Redlynne (Dances With Death) would casually stroll into First Ward like that. The other thing that I find interesting, given the placement in the montage there, is that unless you "know" that that's *MY* character, it's very easy to assume that's not a Player Character there, but instead is yet another (hostile) NPC making an entrance ... possibly as part of a cutscene or something.

So yeah ... I had a total *SQUEE!!* moment watching this vid via UStream when Andy played it for everyone, and saw Redlynne striding into First Ward as if she owned the place. I had been totally expecting that if Michelle was going to use my avatar at all, it would be in some sort of combat scene, doing my signature "Flip Out And Kill Things" scrapping it out using Eagle's Claw or something "flashy" like that. But THIS! This was awesome!



Fantastic job Michelle!



Oh and uh ... any time you get the urge to do a Ricky Martin song video for no good reason, let me know.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

I was actually planning on doing something like that, yes. Where do you get the logos for these videos? I could use the CoH:Freedom logo for that.

Good job managing to work in so much of what was added. It's such a huge issue, I was expecting a blipvert followed by exploding people.

Um, someone posted the link to the PNG for the COH:F logo.
