Time Lord tribute characters
With the Doctor's Ally badge, I have considered making a Fiery redhead in a short skirt, or...if only we could unlock the ITF/Roman gear for new characters, The Last Centurion.
@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.
With the barbarian set, one could throw together a nice Leela tribute too!
American Dawg, Starblaze, Neanderthal Joe, Shining Dawn, Tokamak Dragon, Stinger Incarnate, Burning Tyger, Dover Tornado, Big Roach, Dark Paladin, Archmage Wylde, Kings Row Hornet, Prancing Deer
Avogadro, Science Lord
Edgar Nightcraft, Doc Cicada, Chupa Macabre, Dr Forchtenstein, Blood Shrew
I would love to make a centurion Rory. But what would he be? Sword/shield? Not brute really, perhaps scrapper.
But it's MY sadistic mechanical monster and I'm here to make sure it knows it. - Girl Genius

It would be fun to make your own Time Lord. All it would take is naming the character with a title. The renegades in the show were The Doctor (or The Professor, according to Ace), The Master, and The Rani. So make a time character and name it, um, The Meter Maid. Okay, not quite impressive enough. I'll think of something.
"Home is where, when you have to go there, they have to let you in."
THE THYME LORD.
(Controller, plant control and time manipulation.)
(Edit: I didn't actually DO this. Quick! Run and grab that name!)

A few years ago, I had "The Oncoming Storm" FF/Rad Defender with a David Tennant and a Tom Baker costume. The character didn't get high enough to get a third costume before I got bored of the powersets and deleted him.

Before work interfered, I was planning a "Doc Holliday" for the "historical figures with a twist" - He was just going to be named "The Doc," be a dual pistols/time manipulation powerset: Dr Who, wild-west themed. Most of the costumes would be gunslinger themed except for one costume piece that would be more "Dr Who" iconic- think black lawman's suit with sneakers, wild west gunman with a scarf, etc.
"Something of a legend in these parts, Doc Holliday, a.k.a. "the doc" always seems to appear during times of trouble then disappear almost as quickly after saving the day. Accounts of his adventures span decades, and some wonder if these adventures are the work of one man, or serveral, as descriptions of his appearance have varied wildly over time."

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Love the "Thyme Lord" bit.
Didn't imagine I'd have the first images posting. Bit of a surprise there.
My version is called "Doc Timeminder", and as the name implies, he's psy/time. (which I'm finding to be a nice complimentary pairing). His current outfits have a little bit of the costumes of several of the Doctor Who personas, and the first was partially influenced by "The Next Doctor" as well. (Just a bit) Unfortunately, I never found a good checkered pants option, celery stick chest emblem, nor a velvet jacket. I did include bowties, because, well, bowties are cool.
Biography: None know the true face of Doc Timeminder. At some previous point in his existence, the good doctor learned how to utilize his powers of the mind and time to indefinitely extend his life, living symbiotically with others. Extending the last seconds of a potential host's life, he offers them a chance to live again, healed of their mortal ills by his abilities. In exchange, they give companionship and their body as host. Though inhabited, the host is an active participant, sharing their skills and knowledge with mind of their benefactor. Doc Timeminder has a fatherly affection for all of his companion hosts, and spends quality time with each. He protects them, when not utilized, in frozen pockets of time.
The first three known "faces" of the doctor, as well as his combat appearance. I use the Dimensional Shift to change between them:

Time Manip for the Doctor makes no sense. He doesn't manipulate time apart from using his TARDIS to travel through it.
The Doctor is a MA/Regen Scrapper. The Third Doctor was an expert in at least two different forms of Venusian Martial arts, and of course, he patently regenerates.
Giving him Time Manip powwrs just because, ooh, the set's got 'time' in it is like us having a Shapechange Into Bat power and making Batman tribute toons.

I guess my Time/Sonic Defender called Dr When will offend your sensibilities then
|
And my Who fanboisim isn't affected, since the Doctor isn't actually called 'Doctor Who' (save for the credits in the non-canonical Peter Cushing movies, I believe).
'Dr When' is a cool name for a comicbook superhero with time manip powers.

The Detective inside the Kingsrow Jail reminds me on Tennant.
Just thought I'd mention that
This is a song about a super hero named Tony. Its called Tony's theme.

Something no one's mentioned yet: There is an actual Time Lord badge in the game - it's an accolade for getting the Chrononaut and Cimeroran badges for logging off in Ouroboros and Cimerora respectively.

I think 'Doctor Who' was also used for Sylvester McCoy's Doctor.
|
But in the next episode Paradice Towers *spit* they went back to "The Doctor"
Just want to add that despite the above episodes I am a McCoy fan

Honestly, the only power The Doctor needs is sprint because you know he going to be doing a lot of running.
This is a service-oriented business, and it's all
about keeping the player happy over the long term.
So you have to listen and pay attention. If a large

some change, you be wise to listen. - Raph Koster
Man, seeing all the Steampunk use in this makes me wonder if the utterly Time Lord-free concept of a pair of Victorian time travelers that a buddy and I are using isn't going to be causing a lot of misunderstanding...
There's bound to be several tributes to Doctor Who and the Time Lords (sounds like a British Invasion-era band) running about with the new time powerset. And having lots of costume slots helps with the regenerations. Assuming you're not breaking the rules by having "xxxDoctor Whoxxx" or other pure rip-off running around, I'd love to see everyone's creativity of tribute characters and back stories. This includes Time Lords in general.
And yes, I have a tribute one, too. I'll post him after a few responses.
