  2. You could always just roll something with Kinetic Melee. Then you'll sound like a lightcycle

Thanks, that gave me a chuckle
  4. I've lost track of the number of bug reports I've filed for spelling errors at this stage. There certainly seems to have been a large increase in them from GR onwards.

The worst offender so far has been "per say" (I don't remember what arc it was but I do remember doing a real-life facepalm ). All they need now are "would of" and "irregardless" to complete internet grammar trifecta.
  5. Since the tech is already in the game to limit emails to those on either your local or global friends list, how about extending that to the tells too?

I was pretty dismayed last week after befriending a free player to find that he still couldn't respond to me after doing both of the above. Like others, I'm using the friends channel as a ghetto chat system but it's far from ideal.

So does that mean that every melee powerset we purchase has to be better than SS?

Also, I'm not quite understanding how "should be in every aspect superior to free powersets, both in in-game effectiveness" goes with "doesn't have to be better than all Melee sets in every way." Care to explain a bit further?

And honestly, that whole argument is looking very much like "pay 2 win" which is not somewhere I'd like to see the game going.

Then it's you own damn fault for buying it on day one before you knew what the numbers were. Had you waited just a single day you could have checked them in Mids. You really need to try taking some responsibility for your actions.

That said, I agree that there needs to be better information given in game about powersets and cosmetic items before people buy them. I posted as much on the beta forums and in the teaser thread Zwil posted on Monday and I still find it bizarre that you can't preview these things before shelling out for them. It's one of the (very) few areas where the competition is superior.
  8. Since the credit charge card was for purchasing points, and those points were delivered to you without incident and exactly as advertised, I'd be surprised if you'd have a leg to stand on with regards to a chargeback.

What you do with those points once you've purchased them has nothing to do with the credit card company and is entirely down to you.

    Also, what's a "SKU?"

I know, it's the dreaded Wikipedia but it appears to be right in this case.

Yeah just noticed that, was all excited for about 3 seconds

I still think it's absurd that you can't preview the powers or real numbers for a set before you buy it. It doesn't even affect me as I know I'll end up buying all the sets anyway, but I still think it's stupid.

How many people have Hasten (and would like to colour/suppress it) compared to the Mental armour though? Hell, how many characters never even get as far as APPs? If they have limited resources to assign to this and you're looking at it from a "bang for the buck" perspective, I imagine just giving us a "No FX" option for the most serious offenders would yield the best result.

Of course I'd love to see all powers and pools fully customisable, but if it's not possible just now I could live with the above as a stop-gap measure.

(And out of curiosity, is Mind Over Body really that bad? I haven't played a character with it in about 5 years and my google-fu apparently sucks since I can't find a pic of it.)

    Servers Down?

You guys better put something cool in the store today...
That seems like a rather odd response..."Gah, the servers went down an hour early. You better let me give you some money later!"
  14. Ah ok, I just suggested it since the playstyle is similar and they get overlooked sometimes.
  15. I'll leave the comparison up to others since I haven't played those Blaster sets yet and the last time I played a Mind/Psi Domi was before the changes.

I just wanted to point out that a Fortunata may be worth considering as well (assuming you have access to VEATs). It probably falls somewhere between the other two, has pretty nice damage, plenty of control and with all the defensive buffs it's very survivable.

BAF and Lambda would level your Alpha and then either your Judgement/Lore or Interface/Destiny depending on which you did. Keyes and Underground would level your Alpha, Judgement/Lore and Interface/Destiny.

Astral Merits and Empyrean Merits would be in place for conversion to iXP or to be redeemed for items from the two vendors in Ouroboros.

If you levelled up a branch of Alpha to full, you could select something else to level up so you can switch between them. The iXP can't be hoarded, so there's no issue of rushing new incarnate slots with it.
If they implemented this I might actually be bothered to look at the Incarnate system. As it stands, I'll unlock the Alpha slot and that's it. Really can't be bothered faffing about with an extra 2 currencies (seriously, we have too many of the damn things as it is, stop making more!) each time they introduce new iSlots. The whole system seems to be needlessly complex just for the sake of it.

I honestly pity new players these days trying to wrap their heads around TOs, DOs, SOs, IOs, HOs, SHOs, Merits, Alignment Merits, Astral Merits, Empyrean Merits, Threads, Shards and probably another half a dozen I've forgotten about. If ever there was a time to simplify this stuff it would be now, before you have an influx of new players.

  18. It's WAI, or at least it was from what I read on the beta forums. The chances were something like 10% for the tier 1, 20% for tier 2 and around 50% for Lancer shot. I definitely remember the snipe being 100% presumably because of the difficulty of pulling it off with any kind of aggro.

Edit: actually found patch notes showing it's 20% for Single Shot, 39% for Charged Shot, 52% for Lancer Shot and 100% for Penetrating Ray.
  19. Regarding the chance for Disintegration Spread, it increases as you move up the powers. Can't remember the exact numbers but I think it was something like 10/20/50/100% for Single/Charged/Lancer/Penetrating respectively.

Edit: just found some patch notes on it while answering another thread. It's 20/39/52/100.

    EU servers down?

Or is it just me? I can't connect to any of them but all the other servers seem to work fine. The server status page says they're down too but I never know how trustworthy that thing is.
