Thank you very much for this statement. This is very reassuring to know.

There's a lot of moving parts with Issue 21 and Freedom, and a lot of things that need to be tested. Unfortunately, the timing on the known issues with the Paragon Market being addressed didn't line up with our need to start concurrency testing.

We are working with Transgaming to address this issue ASAP and will let you know the minute that it's corrected.

Thank you for being patient.

Thank you for giving all of the concerned players an update.

Thanks for letting us know. It is good to hear that the Macs are not getting thrown under the bus with i21.

Appreciate the update, Zwillinger. Very glad to know that this is a major concern and that Paragon Studios is doing all that they can to get it fixed. You da man.

Now let's just hope Transgaming is cooperating in a similarly rapid manner...

Thanks for clearing that up, Zwillinger. I stand (or sit) corrected on that point.

I still would like to see more Mac users involved in betas though.

Also let me know if you want any specific tests or data to speed along the fix.

I am aware that Mac's not being able to enter the store is a known issue but can the Devs at least let us know the progress of getting this fixed as well as maybe unlocking SJ and Beams for us Mac users or extend the time period in which SJ will be available. I really hope this gets resolved before issue release as I will hate to DL the game client on windows side.

And there was much rejoicing!

That's what I needed to hear. Thanks so much, man.

And the Mac players breathed a collective sigh of relief...

Z, you just restored a big chunk of this community's faith in Red Names. Thank you.

Agreed, I'm glad that it's getting fixed. I'm tired of hearing all my friends squee about Street Justice and Beam Gun and so on and me not being able to use it. :<

Update: We've worked out a fix for the store issue with Transgaming and we're now testing it internally. Once it finishes testing we'll be building it into a new client. No ETA, but there is forward movement.

Thanks Z!

Myself and both my kids thank you and the dev team for not throwing us Mac client users to the wolves. Having a *supported* Mac client is a major reason that we came back to CoX from CO, well, that and we like the game more. But with a lifetime sup to CO and free accounts for the kids it's a LOT cheaper (like free) per month. With Freedom coming to handle the kids accounts, a single VIP account becomes quite reasonable for us, as long as we can run it natively in OSX. I'm sure the kids will pop for the odd piece from the store too as they get more involved down the road, and the roll out of Freedom let us make CoX our Friday night gaming solution.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in to add another voice to represent all the Mac client users that normally don't say much.

Will this also address the frequent assertion failures NOT associated with the store, as well as the memory leak?

Quoted for emphasis of interest ... especially on the Memory Leak issue.

Ditto. I have had many times where I receive an "Assertion Error" or memory leak error on live and I would be appreciated if that could be looked into as well

I am very glad to hear from the Devs regarding this issue on Beta Client. I love the new changes and cannot wait to test out the Paragon Market when it becomes fixed. Thank you for updating us and not throwing us under. =]

It would make sense that this company should maybe invest in a few Apple products and test stuff out before they create software for the Mac that particularly does not work and test this stuff before you put it out for the Mac for the general public. I get the whole beta testing thing, but you shouldn't expect the Mac community to be alpha testers. Its like tossing things against the wall to see what sticks type of testing.

Mac Users in total are likely LESS than the thousands of $$$ total that they'd lose but just releasing i21 with the Mac playability bugs intact.

Time for bootcamp...Windows is the only way to keep playing the game I'm afraid.

EDIT ** OK, my doooooom has been corrected. Thanks for the update Zwill, glad to see you thinking about us Mac users.

Most likely no, although I haven't seen the final notes on the Mac Client build.

As an update: We're still testing the Mac update internally. We ran into a few issues and as a result had to go back to Transgaming. We may put up a functional "rough" build some time this week, however it will not be the final build, and would most likely require a full install rather than just updating.

Apologies for the delay in updating today; I'm up to my eyes in PAX planning.

hey, at least your keeping us informed.

Just do me a favor and have the programmers lean on Transgaming to make sure the changes to the Cider Base get merged to the G.T.L. base in a time-frame that doesn't need to be measured on a geological time-scale.

Well I can't speak for everyone but that's really disappointing. Looks like I'll be dual booting after all.

Delays forgiven so long as we are not forgotten. The FEAR is that Mac Users will somehow be "abandoned" and ignored/left to rot ... and every communication you give us not only allays that fear, it pushes that fear further into the background.

So ... updates good. More please.
