Who is going from VIP to Premium?
Possibly me, just because of time. With occasional jumps to vip when I have more free time.
Maybe running 7-23 extra VIP accounts is the intended solo Incarnate path?

I'm undecided.

Wow, Golden Girl has had a bit of a mean streak lately!
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)
I think it comes down to knowing more details.
I think its possible that I will actually add in a free account and multibox.
H: Blaster 50, Defender 50, Tank 50, Scrapper 50, Controller 50, PB 50, WS 50
V: Brute 50, Corruptor 50, MM 50, Dominator 50, Stalker 50, AW 50, AS 50
Top 4: Controller, Brute, Scrapper, Corruptor
Bottom 4: (Peacebringer) way below everything else, Mastermind, Dominator, Blaster

I started playing City of X in March of 2009. That's how I think about it, anyway. But ACTUALLY, way back in December of 2004, I bought City of Heroes and played it for a month. I haven't touched that old account since, but it is still tied to my master account. I remember thinking this game was AWESOME, but I was invested heavily in another MMORPG at the time. This was also a few years before I started reading comic books again, so maybe I wasn't feeling it as much as I do now. The only character I remember making was a classic fedora-wearing detective with radiation powers. Don't ask me why. That experience was a long time ago and short-lived, so I don't really consider it to be part of my CoH experience. But it will be interesting to log into that account with City of Heroes Freedom and see what happens.
As far as my "real" account goes, VIP all the way.

My account is staying VIP. My wife is returning to the game as a Premium player. She only plays about twice a month.

My wifes account will go VIP. I'll just make sure I buy some of the unlocks before hand.

I'll be going premium which is the same as not playing to me. This will probably happen sometime in the fall or next month.
Life is just so busy right now and we are expecting a bundle of clouded by the end of the year. I'd rather the $15 a month go to something more worthwhile...like diapers.
I have an old 2nd account that I'll likely dust off just to make SG invites easier.
My girlfriend cancelled her sub a while ago, and will be coming back as a Premium player.
I haven't decided either way yet. To be honest, I've been considering dropping my sub since I18, and had more or less resolved to do so if I21 continued the trend of bringing nothing to the game that I cared to experience.
Then, they announced Freedom. This injected a whole lot of confusion into my decision-making process. I would never escape!
At first, it sounded like going Premium would be the best possible solution to me, but there's really a lot more to the choice than that. A lot depends on what the perks of being a VIP member are and what's in the store after Freedom launches. Also, many of my global friends and supergroup members are making noise about moving to the VIP server, and even though I don't play as much as I used to, I would still want to play with them. Otherwise, there's really no point in my keeping the game installed at all.
I'm going to keep my sub for a while and reevaluate in a few months, after I've accumulated a bunch of paragon points and have experienced life as a VIP player for a while. If the benefits of VIP membership don't impress me much, or if I can buy access to the content I want for less, then I'll drop my sub.

First thing's first, if you're NOT, don't post here. What's the point of a bunch of people saying "I'm going to maintain the status quo"?

You had to know that by saying this the majority of the responses would be "I'm going to maintain the status quo" right? I'm thinking this was the object of your research; to prove that people will be contrary just to be contrary.
Btw, I'm going to maintain the status quo.
Judging from what I've seen on other MMOs the number of paying customers who switch to the free side is gonna be dwarfed by the influx of new players with their micro purchases even if only a small percentage of them become full VIPs. Face it, it's time to bow down to our new F2P masters.

It may very well make sense for me to let my second account - which was originally created to let my son play and team with me - go to Premium. He doesn't play very often, and while I have characters on there I probably wouldn't play more than 3-4 of them. When I21 goes live my son will probably have renewed interest for a time, but that will wear off eventually as he picks up other console games. If I do let it lapse, it would be then.

Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level

Undecided. Playing very little lately, I can see myself going Premium, and only popping in once in a while like I do now already.
Depends on the final ruleset for Premium accounts really, what of the things I usually do is still accessable or not.
Time will tell. Keeping the account active for now for until F2P hits, then I'll decide.
My main account will go VIP as $$ allows (think it will be down for a couple weeks here in a few days anyway but will renew when I can).
My second account is a few years old (i created it before the SG prestige double grants from long ago because I used it for that and think i had it before) but it only has one year of actual vet time due to spotty subscription. It will PROBABLY stay premium.
my third account was a cheap GR code I got and only had the one free month to it. it is inactive and will probably be premium, that gives me 4 slots.
I wish they would have given us more of a heads up on that GR sale they had the other day. I would have saved the $$ to buy a couple more accounts. for $10 I would have got 2 more slots (than just creating a free account after Freedom launches) and would have been premium status.
Depending on my interests I might lapse into premium until new incarnate slots are available. I'd like to continue subscribing if I can afford it, but since I don't have alt-itis the two slot unlocks will be enough for me to enjoy my non-incarnates until my incarnates have something new to work towards.
I'll probably be bouncing between VIP and prem for a while, for financial reasons. Once I'm stable financially again, I'll figure out which works best for my life (ie: do I have time to make VIP worthwhile other than the 400-Paragon Point stipend? Stuff like that), and follow that path.
TLDR: Don't know yet.

Going Premium sounds like a good option. I'm sure it will be good enough/fun enough to justify its cost--free!
Grinding 6 accounts in my case to 50 though could be time consuming
