Any bets if Freedom and the F2P will revive Redside? Or will Blue just get flooded even more.

Wouldn't redside have to be dead in order to be revived?

Another recent comic book MMO that released this year had an equal amount of hero and villain content, but the majority of the players chose to play the hero stuff

Redside has it's charms. But it's just so depressing all the time.

I would -love- some dedicated Vigilante "Let's save the people of the Rogue Isles" content, though.

And some Rogue "Let's mess with Paragon City for fun and profit" content as well.

And if you think 20,000 people can't be wrong, just look at no-carb dieting!

Well, a rising tide lifts all boats.
I expect redside will get additional players, but I think blue will get MORE additional players - probably in similar proportion to the current distribution.

Oh please, not everyone wants to be a goody two-sh...

um, I mean ... everyone has their, uh, distinctive play style, and I'm sure there will be interest in, er, the less ... shall we say, community-oriented gameplay available.

Um, yeah, *scurries off*

I want to agree with you, but the two sides of the game have been stuck in a perpetual Catch 22 since Issue 8.

12 Issues later and we're still caught in the same Catch 22. Except we now have Co-Op Content that chooses to ignore the wants of one side in order to cater to the other.

We also have a Third side that blends the first two nicely but doesn't do anything to end the loop.

I'm sure Redside will get a bump in player numbers with the release of F2P but I doubt it will cause any type of revival like we witnessed during the introduction of Veats and Demon MMs.

It's going to take some sort of new content, Powersets or zones, to move a large number of players redside for any amount of time.

Given that powersets are going to be mostly uncoupled from alignment with I21 as well, I think it's mostly going to have to be content and culture.

I doubt we'll see a 'focus' on redside content either, best can hope for is matched or shared content, which is fine.

Contrary to popular belief, Santa Clause doesnt use CoX as the final deciding point of which list he puts you on...

i know thats a huge disappointment to alot of hardcore players, but the truth must be known.

It's true... a lot of my villains are declared nice when the Winter Event rolls around.

Teaming works differently redside. I don't have teamates, I have minions.

While I think we'll see a rise in redsid enumbers, I have to agree with this.

I think we'll continue to see more people playing the role of superhero over supervillain.

Playing the good guys in video games is more popular than playing the bad guys because it gives you a nice change of pace from everyday life.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

My job is spent pleasing other people. Yay. customer care. It's nice to do things for myself, outside of working hours.

Being bad is so good.
