A Bustier would be chest or chest detail, as would the Corset.
There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

Sadly, I couldn't find anything in the Steampunk pack that fit with my only actual steampunk-ish themed character:
Guides: Dark Armor and IOs | SS/DA | Crabbing | Fortunata

My Bat themed Traps/Sonic Defender got an old fashioned Victorian style update. It's the wings that really pull the whole thing together. To the artist who designed the "wind-up" wings, you deserve a raise.

Well since everyone is sharing I thought I would do the same!
See, looking at this thread (and the one in the Screenshots and Fanart section) just highlights how male/huge characters get the short end of the stick with this pack.
The female options are so versatile.
The male/huge options are considerably more limited in scope.
This was my first creation. A bit gothic lolita meets french maid.
This was my second. More of a formal dress.

See I was thinking the opposite, that the male pieces, while less flashy, are actually more versitile, at least once the baked in shirts/ties are removed.
Don't get me wrong, most of the female pieces are awesome and I can't say any of the male pieces are awesome, but I foresee my males and huge characters getting a bit more mileage out of the pack. Mainly because the female pieces are so glaringly obvious and don't go well with existing costume bits. I end up either using the whole set on my females or none of it with the notable exception of the choker, jacket, and belt (plain) which are extremely useful.
I would have found the bustier more useful if it went all the way to the waist instead of being arched (or better yet, came both ways) so that I didn't HAVE to put the steampunk belts with it to cover the skin. I would have found the thigh-high more useful if the shoe was completely tintable and came in a couple of different shapes... but then I don't like the witch boots because they are so extreme in their foot shape so that's probably just me. The skirt is not really a skirt and more like pants that have been cut up the inseam so I was much less excited about that once I put it on. It IS nice to have something skirt-like that covers below the knee though so I guess my feelings about it are ... complicated. I have mixed feelings on the new faces too. They look good by themselves but... Maybe it's the skin tone? Does it match the other skin on the body? I'm not sure but something about them bothers me.
I'm sure over time I'll end up using most of the pieces quite a bit just like I have the other boosters (exception Science... I don't think I've used any of the pieces in that on any of my characters yet, I only got it for the super tailor).
A minor update to Captain Den'Rath's Steampunk outfit.

My Portfolio
I was originally going to go with the brown/gold scheme of Ouroboros, but I decided blue/gold/white was prettier. I also wanted to use the Alpha belt, but it clips in the back; so I left it as the "classic steampunk" belt you see.
Enjoy your day please.
I suppose this isn't strictly steampunk given that it's a modern day character incorporating one bit - the backpack.
It's absolutely perfect for the concept, though - A scrapyard owner who finds a pair of super-electric gloves and builds a portable generator from scrap to power them. The costume is likewise meant to represent found items rather than something Serge would fall in love with.
Actually, this is an interesting design for me because it incorporates so many different sources. The gloves are from the mutant pack (I think). The backpack is steampunk. The cigar smoke (look closely and you'll see it) is from the animal pack. The boots are boxing vet rewards. The straps are Going Rogue. Everything else is either the basic game or the additions over the years. Technically, I think the pants are CoV but that's part of the basic game these days.
It's a little mind-boggling just what you can do with what we have these days and how things you'd never imagine fitting together do, in fact, go together perfectly.
There's some great stuff in here, guys! Be sure to post some of these on Facebook and tag them with "City of Heroes"; we'll pick one image and give away a Party Pack!
