quickest leveling Villain?
Well...
My fastest levelling Redside toon to date would have to be my
Necro/Dark MM.
That said. Just push to level 21 and go train, that should unlock them for you if I remember correctly.
Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard
Keep Calm & Chive On!
Unless it was changed during my break from the game, Praetorian characters won't unlock EATs of either side. The reason being because they reach level 20 prior to setting their alignment as either Hero or Villain. Thus, when the game checks to see if it should unlock Epics it sees a Praetorian alignment that doesn't meet its requirements.
But that could all be old news.
Wanna play a Peacebringer? Don't believe the hype. Check out my guide and get the real truth:
PEACEBRINGERS SUCK!!! (Now fully up to date for i21+ )
I would suggest a claws/willpower brute. Willpower will keep you alive, and with fury, and the quick aoe you get, your damage won't need SOs or higher to be good.
It is without any doubt whatsoever - Fire/Dark corruptor.
You can run at level 10 - 0 x 8.
Get these powers:
1. Tarpatch
2. Rain of fire
3. Howling twilight
4. Fireball
5. Fire Blast
6. Darkest night
7. your heal Twilight grasp
This isn't the order you can get them it just is the powers you need.
To play - Run forward put darkest night on a group and turn a corner, drop tarpatch and wait until they are on it - use Howling twilight to stun them and slow them - drop rain of fire - fireball and clean up with blast.
Slot rain of fire, your heal, howling twilight and tarpatch until you are 12 with recharge only.
You will burn - pun intended through the enemies like nothing you have ever seen. You will be 22 getting SO before you know it.
Sorry network hiccup caused double post.

Hurm...this sounds tempting...
"Comics, you're not a Mastermind...you're an Overlord!"
I dont know about the actual unlocking part but you do get the on screen pop-up that the EAT has been unlocked upon dinging 20 as a praetorian. I remember seeing it the other day on one of my alts.
Bump and Grind Bane/SoA
Kenja No Ishi Earth/Empathy Controller
Legendary Sannin Ninja/Pain Mastermind
Entoxicated Ninja/PSN Mastermind
Ninja Ryukenden Kat/WP Scrapper
Hellish Thoughts Fire/PSI Dominator
Thank You Devs for Merits!!!!
awesome, thanks for the replies guys!
they really should fix that misleading message at the least...
I was one of the folks (like many) who got a hero and a villain to 50 to unlock the EATs and VEATs. Yet, everytime I level a new character to 20 (in Praetoria as well), I get the message that Epic Archtypes are now unlocked...
Anything/Kin Corrupter (preferably Fire or Rad)
Get to L10 ASAP - go to CAP, broadcast that you are a kin with SB looking for a farm.
I kid, I kid.
Maybe...

And very impractical, seeing as how you'd be out of endurance halfway through said AoE chain (not to mention HT is on a loooong timer)
|
He is right about corner pulling into tar patch. You will slaughter things with that trick if you fireball them, breath of fire and then rain of fire on top of them (rain of fire is my preference for clean up since it gets so many chances to scourge).
Too many alts to list.
I recently tried leveling another one up to 22 just to see how fast it was.
I did exactly what I recommended and it was fast - very fast.
Howling twilight is not up every group - when it is use it
Cop out answer: the one you'll actually stick to playing. I still haven't found that one yet.

SS/Fire brute has some pretty good hits at low level, but Im starting to have end issues.
thaks for the ideas...
SS/Fire Brute was the single fastest leveling character I've ever had in this game. Get up to 16, self-PL the rest of the way. +0/x8 no bosses until footstomp, then add bosses and cruise to 50. Takes like 3 days of interrupted play. And that was with PLing other friends along the way.
edit: If you are having END problems, you need to 1. slot up end reducs and 2. eat more delicious candy.

A Demons/Thermal MM is also quick and a lot of fun... slower than a Brute but a blast to play. Plus for us MM vets it is so fun to just run over Demolitionists for a change because our mini-Fire Tanker pets pretty much laugh at burn patches.
Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name

SS/Fire Brute with the self-PL option is nice (I have one myself), but lack of AOEs hurts. Instead, I'd recommend Elec/Fire if you're looking for a self-PLing character to hit 20 fast. You get Jacob's Ladder at 2, Thunder Strike at 8 and Chain Induction at 18. Find a nice fire farm at 16 and watch the levels melt away.
For something a little different, I might recommend an Elec/Earth Dom. It's a bit weird, sure, but Conductive Aura + Static Field is one evil sapping combination and the self-refreshing sleep keeps you safe. Earth gives you an early PBAOE and KB mitigation for all your attacks up to L20 (Elec doesn't grant KB resistance, unlike a lot of other Dom primaries).
For another option, consider a Fire/Traps Corruptor. Fire Ball and Rain of Fire meet Caltrops and Acid Mortar? FFG at 16 will help protect against nasty mez, too.
I'll 2nd (or 3rd, or whatever) the Fire/Dark Corruptor build. It's a powerful build in general, but the main advantage for this particular request is it blooms very early. Drop Tar Patch on a corner, drop Darkest Night on the spawn as you jump back round the corner, drop Rain of Fire when they hit the Tar (before they can even see/attack you), then pop out to Fireball them into the ground. Relatively safe AoE mayhem, all at level 8.
But yeah, try switching to the 2nd build and training that to 20 first, may save you some time.
so after getting my Robotics/FF mastermind to 20 in praetoria & finding out it DOESN'T unlock the VEATs, i need some suggestions.
Whats the villain powerset combo that can get me to 20 the fastest? I like the idea of MMs, but only ever tried robo's. Any help?
Thanks all!
