  1. Yeah, i went with Spiritual for the recharge buff, since thats penalized in Granite also. Run speed you can get over with a kin friend, tp, or other run speed set bonuses.
  2. when i saw DA's on a team, i loved how they were just a ball of dark clouds type thing, so i wanted to roll one myself...but when I got cloak of darkness on my spines/DA scrap, it didn't turn me into a cloud, just another dark-aura. Am I thinking of the wrong power? Or does it only happen for others viewing you?
  3. Ahh yes, i meant Melee lol...

Thanks for the build Auroxis...I was never a fan of slotting brawl OR kick for that matter, but it does give some nice ideas. And at least its not 6 slotting like the melee build.
  4. Hi all,

I made an s/l softcapped elec/elec/mu scrapper, but i'm worried i'm gimping myself in other areas...would you build experts mind taking a look? I'm thinking maybe I could sacrifice a little defense & put it toward damage or recharge...elec has pretty decent resists anyway.

And i know, lightning clap sucks, but its for the defense set bonus. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

    liberty VG?

Whats a good resource for finding a villain group on Liberty? I've looked through the Registry thats stickied up there, but it seems like mostly SG's.

That said, anyone want to let a new Crab join their VG? :-) Or want to start one?
  7. awesome, thanks for the replies guys!

they really should fix that misleading message at the least...
  8. so after getting my Robotics/FF mastermind to 20 in praetoria & finding out it DOESN'T unlock the VEATs, i need some suggestions.

Whats the villain powerset combo that can get me to 20 the fastest? I like the idea of MMs, but only ever tried robo's. Any help?

    Thanks all!

    hover & powers

Has anyone else noticed you can use location based aoe's from powersets while hovering or flying (this was on my elec controller, and I could use static field), but not other powers like the ouro portal & the buff pet summon? Is this intentional, or should I bug it? Seems arbitrary, i don't see why you shouldn't be able to use them.
  10. I've wanted to do an elec/elec character for awhile now, but I already have a tank, so I thought i'd try the scrapper route. However, hearing all the good things about softcapping defense, I tried to do it with this build, without gimping a scrappers main job of damage.

I managed to cap S/L and melee, as well as boost HP and regen. Am I underestimating the usefullness of ELA's awesome resistances? Or is defense the way to go for ultimate survivability?

Also, let me know if the damage numbers aren't up to par, this is my first scrap.

    Appreciate any thoughts & advice!

  11. I realize this is a reeeeally old thread, but anyone still around doing an all elec team? I've been wanting to lvl an elec armor/elec melee toon, and i think an elec superteam would be amaze-balls.

I'd have to roll a new alt, but anyone still in for this?
  12. Hi all,

Had my stoner tank sitting at 50, but never really got around to fully IOing him until now...just finished a build & wanted some constructive criticism/advice on what you experts thought!

This is an all-purpose general build, with softcapped def to S/L out of granite, and softcapped to all but psi in granite. I focused on end redux & damage in my attacks because i'm going with the spiritual alpha slot for more recharge to offset granite. I also included as much +run speed as possible.

Let me know what you all think, i'd love any advice!
    Thanks!

PS-mostly a casual player here, so went for a non-purple build, but i'm not opposed to saving up.
  13. Great builds all, thanks for posting!

Does a spines/da greatly benefit from taking Tough & Weave? I'm considering a build without one, but at lvl 14, she still dies alot...not sure if powers and slots will help that in the coming levels though.

    Thx for the advice!
  14. Is spines/dark still the AoE king of scrappers? I just leveled a fire/rad controller & LOVED seeing the orange numbers bloom. Seems like it may be too much aoe though, some think it has a lack of ST attacks?

I'll definitely try one of these builds though, thanks guys!
  15. Hi All,

Anyone interested in starting a fire/rad superteam meet up? I've seen there's one on Freedom, but unfortunately i made it here before i saw that.

I have one around lvl 30 right now, and would love to see how things just melt with a whole team...let me know guys!

    @FatherCronos
  16. Thanks Local man! I've read your guides too, very detailed & helpful.

Sounds like i'll just have to try it out & see how Indom. Will does for me. I'm still learning how to be a controller, my last 50 was a tank haha...last tf I did i kept aggroing too much with fire cages & faceplanted alot.

    Thanks!
  17. Hi all, I was wondering what kind of mez protection you all use for your controllers? I have a Fire/Rad, and its pretty smooth sailing except when I get mezzed...then i have to wait for all my toggles to recharge & put them all back up.

I've heard good things about Indomitable Will, and plan to take it, but would Combat jumping & Acrobatics be a good addition? Or are they just overkill?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Ah, seems like a stupid question, forgive my naivete...I will read up on here about the strategies though, seems like tanks just taunt, easy enough.

Will make a lesser costume too. Thanks!
  19. Having never done a Hami raid, I would like to join! I have a 50 stone/stone tank!

    Where are we meeting?
  20. I haven't seen much love for elec/elec on these forums at all!! Maybe they're still too new. I'd love to hear how it would work out too though, if anyone has one!
  21. i was JUST about to post asking about an elec/elec tank! Seems like they aren't that popular, is it a bad idea? Any synergies?
