Hi All,

Anyone interested in starting a fire/rad superteam meet up? I've seen there's one on Freedom, but unfortunately i made it here before i saw that.

I have one around lvl 30 right now, and would love to see how things just melt with a whole team...let me know guys!

If the free server transfers are still going on, you might want to join up on Freedom.

Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

Eh. The "super team" concept has never really caught on in Victory land. Personally, while the idea is amusing conceptually, the draconian way some groups on other servers have presented it completely turned me away from the possibility of joining one. (i.e. More or less being told the build you are going to use)

I'm sure that there are people on Victory that have done this but I haven't seen too much activity in this forum or the large public global channels to indicate that it's a popular idea here.

Good luck in your quest.

Yeah, Victory is more of a Free Love and Free Build server. We get weekly teams going, but we don't place restrictions on people (other than that they have to be a on given side, and with GR even that requirement may go away. Hell, some people get mad if you even make a list of what builds people are making, thinking that somehow that's stifling the creativity of those who are still deciding on their build. Crazy, I know, but I've seen it happen.

Controller or Corrupter would be a good thing to point our here; I've seen separate superteam instances of both before.

Hey Spech_K, nothing's stopping you from making another one over on Freedom (except maybe the occasional queue).

Additionally, Liberty has a group that runs Tuesday/Thursday as well.

I know you've already started one. What'll it hurt trying another from scratch? If nothing else, the rapid leveling common to this sort of team will give you ideas for do's and don'ts for your primary build on your home server.

I currently have three Fire/Rads.

Flamin' Trolla (Level-locked for marketing purposes)
Vortex Core (For high-level TFs)
Al A. Magordo (Over on Liberty to help get them started)

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Why not start a "super" Fire/rad team here? There's nothing to stop a host of folks from Liberty, Freedom, or any other server from joining in the fun.

I rolled one for Liberty's Fire/Rad team. Came in a week late, and have pretty much caught up.

I couldn't find a pedestrian to find out how long my character, Zethan has been.. "alive" or on patrol, I guess. But, except for levels 1-4 (when he dinged 5, I stopped playing him solo.) he's only teamed with the Fire/Rads. Levels 5-34, about 3 hours each session, 2 sessions a week, so that's 10 sessions I've played him. Maybe 31 -32 hours? 40 at the most. That's still pretty good leveling speed.

Just wish I could find a pedestrian NPC. I think they've all been kidnapped, or are getting mugged and unwilling or unable to talk.

Some folks might think themed teams are silly/stupid - but this is a great way to learn about the powerset.

Last night, I noticed that I was the only controller playing at range. The rest were in melee, or pretty close to it. Well, 7 other controllers with hot feet and choking cloud make an impact on a mob. So, I learned in that moment a different way to play. It's a way I chose not to play, because I don't really care if my imps get defeated - I can make more when there are 8 AMs on me. And AM comes up so often, it won't be but a moment before the new imps get their dose of AM.

So, here's what you can get with the "super/theme" team experience:
1. Moar XP!1!!!1, and seemingly faster. ( to me, but I tend to solo)
2. An insight into how up to 7 others play pretty much the same build.
3. A broader knowledge of slotting and power selection.
4. An opportunity to tell really bad jokes while your imps do most of the damage.

All those add up to fun for me.
