City of Spinoff Games: what would you want to see?
I could get behind a Telltale Games-partnered adventure game set in the CoH universe.
.
Side-scrolling beat 'em up.
A Real-Time Strategy game with the commander being a superhero that levels up and has powers just like in CoH. The heroes would train Longbow and Legacy Chain and hire Wyvern and Knives of Artemis, and the villains would train Arachnos and Crey and hire Malta and Knives of Artemis, for example. There would be more HP in most foes and plenty of weapon and body armor upgrades. The commanders would have the most effective buffs/debuffs, naturally, but you would be able to use other units' weaker abilities or set them to auto-fire. Firing ordinary weapons would cost no endurance, but other abilities would cost more endurance and recovery would be notably slower. Also, recharge rates would probably be a bit lower overall.
City of Cat Girls and Lobster Bois...It's just pure win!
Or...Perhaps something like CoX meets Fallout.
Super powered folks in a time where the world has been completely demolished by heroes and villains manipulating forces bebyond their control, eventually destroying everything we know.
The world would be dark, depressive wastes with old Paragon building just being a sheltered husk of what it was once.
Trading houses would be replaced with bartering, and survival aspects would be the key.
Player drawn and governed shanty towns would littler the maps, each trying to fend for themselves.
Mutants, Giant Robots who survived the cluncky gritty new world would rampage. Villains would abound trying to hoard resources for survival, and heroes and villains would have the chance to PVP in deginated war zones, not for points, but to keep their little shanty towns from crumbling and their people from starving...or villain side to gain a threshold of power.
Cole, and Stateman duke it out, and the Well becomes unstable rendering the rest of the world, which colide because Ourourous ruptures time and space into this post apocalyptic aftermath.
~~~I would then become queen of the Thunder Dome and wear large earings and command gladitorial combat in which people who offended me in the least would be targeted and have to fight it out to the death....Wait...No stop! Ignore my Thunder Dome!~~~
We would have vehicle travel powers, as well as normal ones. Vehicles could offer a sepperate tray for weapons, just like heroes can fire off powers when using their travel powers.
~~~My Thunder Dome.......Ah never mind.
I just threw this out there.

Sim City of Heroes.
You are the city manager for Paragon City. You have to build facilities to attract heroes of different origins and ATs to fight the various criminal groups threatening your city. Different hero types get bonuses and penalties against groups based on origin (basically they are strong against the same origin, ok against the origins they share DOs with and weak against the other two) while a suitable mix of ATs allows you to combat different threat levels. Unlike this game the ATs would be less flexible meaning that maintaining the correct mix of ATs would be important, i.e. to many Tankers and your Heroes can't defeat enemies fast enough, to many Blasters and they get killed to quickly, an excess of Scrappers would handle small-medium threats well but would lack the debuffs to take out AVs. In addition you would need to ensure adequate civic facilities to keep people and business happy and ensure a sufficient cash flow to fund reconstruction after superpowered fights level entire city blocks.
So essentially a combination of SimCity and Dungeon Keeper.
Me, I'd want an X-com style turn-based squad tactics game set in the CoH universe. Group PvP in it would be fun as hell.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
City of Lord Nemesis. Warhulk AT please.

City of Heroes comics and artwork
as a mmo, city of manga.
my ideal a bethesda style open world rpg.
Arachnos/Praetorians/Rikti/Signature Villains vs Longbow/Vanguard/Midnight Squad/Signature Heroes FPS, working like a cross between Team Fortress 2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2.
I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender
Sometimes all at once.
Union EU player! Pip pip, tally ho, top hats and tea etc etc
Angry Heroes for iPhone, iPod and iPad. Create your unique hero, then slingshot him at Nemesis robots!
The Alt Alphabet ~ OPC: Other People's Characters ~ Terrific Screenshots of Cool ~ Superhero Fiction
I'd love to see an Real-Time or Turn-Based Strategy game done during the Rikti Wars.
Imagine having a Warcraft 3 version of units and heroes fighting off the waves of Rikti, holding the line, taking back parts of the city. All building up to the last fight, leading Alpha and Omega Teams to end the war.
Or maybe a Marvel vs Capcom 2-3 type of fighting game, having a team of 2 or 3, with all the main characters, plus some generic extras like Rikti Magus and Malta Titan (like how they had a Sentinel in MvC). Having nukes and combos and big attacks would work well with the power meters.

Marcus & Stefan's Dance-Off Challenge
Spinoff eh? A couple of things come to mind:
1. RTS- Take command of either the human, rikti, praetorian or DE forces as they fight to conquer their dimension and all others. Think massive forces with heroes and villains being commanders. Heck even Duray could be used as a leader.
2. FPS- I would love a kind of 5th column/council shooter where you as either a council soldier trying to stop the resurgent 5th column from taking down your HQ in striga to a 5th Column Krieger trying to find work after the fall of the 5th Column.
3. An RPG-Where you play as a KoA assassin trying to avenge a loved one as you rise through the ranks or maybe the transition from being a homeless man to a fully fledged Rikti Commander
4. Carnival/Freakshow games- Think of wii games but substitute the theme for a carnie party/troupe or a freaklympics event like rockman tossing or raiding stores.
I want a single-player console action/adventure game where we get to play as the signature characters through their own adventures. Maybe even include co-op based multi-player but not any MMO elements.

Outside of an MMO though, Devil May Cry play style, with the character customization of CoH in terms of looks/costumes/powers.
BrandX Future Staff Fighter

The BrandX Collection
Randomly, one I just remembered I had actually brainstormed in my head for awhile went like this: A first person shooter with role playing game elements along the lines of Bioshock 2 crossed with Deus Ex themes, and it would be...
Going Rogue: The Praetorian Revolution
You play a fairly standard PPD beat cop in the beginning, but as you delve deeper into Praetoria's underbelly, you realize that the only one you really can trust is yourself... But even that's a leap of faith...

I'd love to see a CoH-style fighter like Marvel vs. Capcom. Make your custom fighters, choose their powersets, then use them to beat the tar out of one another!

Sartre once said, "Hell is other people." What does that make an MMO?
City of Dozers
A City where all you do is drive around with construction equipment and tear down or build up stuff!
Ouroboros Portal: Escape from Aperture Science Laboratories with the new improved portal gun that creates portals through time as well as space. This allows you to travel forward and backward to the most advantageous configurations of the ever-changing 3D environment. Along the way you'll discover that The Coming Storm is also a lie.
Empire of Humanity Unchained.
Otherwise known as "Star Systems of Heroes." Set forward in time with multiple planets/etc.

To NCSoft: Understand that you reap what you plant, and you cannot gain what you throw away.
So as a bit of random crackiness, if Paragon Studios ever put out a spinoff of our beloved franchise, what might you want to see or be willing to play?
For me, two things come to mind: An Action Adventure game with RPG growth elements that's basically City of in a more actiony, single-player, console format, doubly so if it basically allows us extremely similar levels of customization. It all just seems like the logical leap if one were to make a spinoff of this game for a different genre.
Though another possibility, stretching the feel of super powers, would be some kind of RP Strategy game, similar to Makai Kingdom, basically putting strong emphasis on lots of powerful hero units mixed in with more generic units. I could it in various campaigns like a C&C game where you pick which faction you want to lead.
It seems like another logical branch out because we've got so many damned paramilitary groups (Malta, Longbow, Arachnos, Council, 5th Column, Nemesis, Sky Raiders, PPD, Vanguard, and, to a mildly lesser extend, the Rikti. did I forget anyone?) that we could easily make armies out of them to slug it out with one another and even expand on just what their full resources are.
