One of my mains is a Mind/Psi Dom and well...she felt mega powerfull out of the box. I say give that a go.
Also it's super easy and not that expensive to get perma dom on a Mind/Psi -
Actually. I have narrowed it down!!!
I do not like playing anything that gets hit? Does that make sense? I choose dark for the -to hit. I like doms and controllers to lock down things so I don't get hit...and in fact, I even have diamagnetic on each of my mains for extra -to hit!!!
I like my emp/Psi/Mind because she can heal/stun/sleep and hold...and again...does not get hit.
Wow...thats a huge eye opener and prolly the reason my scrapper is on hold, and I could never stand a tank or a brute for longer than 20 minutes of playtime at all! -
This is where my current issue is. I feel as though I am running out of themes, ideas and plain out sit in the character creator coming up with ideas, and then after an hour, I log out.
See...I love dominators. But I only really enjoy mind domination.
I made a blaster, but the only blaster I have been able to level to 50 is with Dark Blast.
I seem to like dark powers in general, and going through my list, Psi powers as well. Seeing as almost all my mains are as following. Grav/FF/Psi Controller, Mind/Psi/Fire Dominator, Dark Blast/Mental/Elec Blaster, Empathy/Psi/Psi Defender....(See the theme)
Im rolling new things, but it seems my toons are running all into the same course.
Because of this trend I tried to break the mold by creating new things, coming up with new ideas, and well, Im having a complete block in the character creation process. It could be because I have been playing for so long that these just happen to be toons I created and let stagnate, falling in love with them at later times.
But now, after having 4 level 50's with similar or somewhat similar power options, I realized I play favorites with certain sets and certain things just do not appeal to me. I look through powers and I am at a complete loss as to what appeals to me anymore.
I bought Beam Rifle...and not once have I ever used or even tested it because I can't come up with a theme that appeals to me. Do I make a blaster? Do I make a Support toon?
Im beginning to wonder if it's powers or AT's. Either way, Im completely at a loss right now and have hit my roadblock.
Maybe I just need a bit of a break, and then return later once I have some new fresh ideas. -

I yawned.
I was hoping for soemthing more. Instead I go this...
It may allow toons to shine more...but in the end...Predictable!
I wanted Manti to die....for more interesting toons to come to the forefront...
Instead I got fluff...
Who cares? -

Ummm...Im not sure this is a noob moment, although I have one of those Ill share too.
First- My Blaster, whom I love was taking heavy in one of those big underground areas with stairs. I had a thread of life and the team wiped. The tank yells "RUN!" So I ran down the stairs.
Then I died and fell on the ground. the Tank was like...WTH no one was attacking you.
Apparently I took 12 falling damage from running down the stairs and died.
Noob moment 1 - Freaking out and having people freak out on my Grav/FF controller for not casting shields on people, or being able to attack. Complaining in global that my toon is bugged, and then being asked if I was running PFF! Face Palm!
Noob moment 2- Accidently leaving Force bubble on while sprinting through atlas. I thought it was Dispursion bubble. I dragged a whole bunch of low level baddies into atlas and got people killed.
FACEPALM!!! -
I don't see an issue with the 30 second timer.
It's pretty much standard in any MMO, so why should it be any different here. Many times it has been used for PVP and PVE exploiting, but in the overall it's so standard accross the board, I really don't see how anyone cares at all. -
Maybe...just maybe...there is a Santa!
-
Personally Im using Vorpal on my Blaster. It works good for her, although be very carefull. When they said Wide Area Cone, what they meant was "Kick everything on the screen in the face" While excellent, if it does not kill stuff, then you have a whole lot of aggro, and will aggro things you were not even aiming to hit.
Cryonic is something I use on my Grav Troller, and I have the chance for hold, which is excellent. I would really suggest this as being the best option. -
So, I was doing some junk in first Ward when I started fighting some people in the Carnival of War. There is this one enemy that seems to use both Whip attacks, as well as other bright possibly fire related energy from a distance.
Then I got to thinking.
Is this going to be released for dominators.
Hellfire assault, or something to that effect.
Ill give you an example
I know that she used three whips attacks, which we already have in game. 2 melee featureing a knockup/knockback, and 1 range whip attack.
One of the powers she used created a hold effect with what looked like rope around me. The rest were bright blasts similar to energy, but also similar to fire. Brightly colored though.
So in total we would have:
~One Ranged whip attack
~One Cone Melee Assault
~One Single Melee Target With a knockback/Knockup
~One Ranged Imob or Hold like power with min damage applied
~Two non descript ranged blasts
Could this be something we would be seeing as a future Dom power. It seems very custom for a villain, and almost seems as though the Devs WANT to use the whip animation more than they have been.
So I was just curious! -
Sally is the only beast in the game I would PVP to protect!
Sadly...Id love to see her suddenly puff mantles out of the side of her head...and blast her would be murderers with a cone attack so lethal it could kill anything.
Just cuz! -
I wrote this awesome post regarding how people were complaining about how AV's were almost always dogpiled by heroes to gain a win, and how, people were upset that it was so easy.
In my epic post...prolly the most epic one I have ever made...I mentioned that in the new trials different, stratagies had to be used to defeat epic villains and people complained about it.
I went on and added reasons, ideas, and concepts behind why people might be upset and why people would be happy that there was new challenges.
I commented on sams post...I commented and even properly use quotes!!!
Then the forum went under maintenance and ate my post.
I wept a little, but I drank beer...now I am happy, and my once epic post...is lost...and this is all I have.
Sorry.
I am sure it would have been awesome. I know I was pleased writing it. But in the overall...my point came down with the following
~People complained about old content becoming to easy
~People complained when old tacits were replaced by new chalenges "dogpiling AV's etc
Main issue is that if the story was compelling, other than just everything touched by the well of furies, then things would be ok.
Sadly my two page post was lost...and if I could regain my lost energy I would recreate it...but that moment has past.
And now I shall fade...Into my field of broken dreams.
Love

As I recall, this has been the plague of every game that ever had levels.
I used to play a lot of DnD...and that was before level 40. You really only had up to level 20...but the most fun content was ealier. Also because when you hit level 20 many DM's were sort of stuggling to keep things interesting, challenging, etc.
I don't think it's different.
I mean when ever you add elements that cause toons to go beyond their normal abilities something needs to be bigger and tougher.
The really wierd thing though is that people complain about original content trivialized since the incarnate system came into play, but then complain when the Devs give them something that is more powerfull than them.
Although I do get the fact that it sounds wrong that a rock takes you out. At least if something was to take you out it should generally be something epic. -
Really? I have one as well. Dark/Mental and it does not do anything. I mean the DoT is ok. Sorta, but the confuse is not long enough. The proc might be ok considdering my fast recharge rate which can proc it regularly, but overall it's just not long enough to disrupt the enemies at all.

Quote:Amen Sista friend!*runs off to Paragon Wiki to read about Dream Doctor*
There does seem to be an ideal opportunity for a changing of the guard, bringing in a number of the lesser known signature characters in time for the Battalion to arrive.
Hopefully too, the death of Statesman will signal the beginning of the end of the Incarnate crap we've had to endure. -
~ Numina, sacrifices her very existance and brings States back with a powerfull res. But considdering his power, she uses all of hers to do it, and is finally laid to rest.

Silver M's Dialogue, is not something I find offensive at all. Maybe my skin is thicker? I don't have much to add here other than...
As for your reports?
If you would not say in person, in a location...filled with a whole bunch of people who are drunk, the opposite of white, or stupid, what you said in the game....then you prolly should not say it in the game.
Apparently the nets make it safer to say things that normally would get you a smack in the face.
The only difference is that Silver M, wouldn't mind it so much. I doubt you could say the same? -
Ill answer it with this.
The things I enjoyed doing over and over when I was not an incarnate, I no longer enjoy doing. -

Im not upset about the temp powers. What I am concerned about is that some people lag during these trials. Some people crash during the trials...and when they crash if they have the temp powers it gets messy.
Stability has been an issue for many players running these trials. With Mapserver issues common, and .Pigg file crashes (I hear this a lot and have experienced it as well) it can result in people having the powers to unintentionally causing the league to fail.
Although I do see the purpose of the temps however. -
Mine is not as nearly epic as all the ones mentioned, and while I was thinking first of my grav/ff controller saving a team, or my Psi/Psi Dom soloing Dominatrix when my party wiped, I would have to actually go with Hexsing, my Blaster.
So we were doing the AV arc. Hexsing is my Dark/Mental/Electric Blaster, and we were taking out infernal and and Diabolique. Someone aggrod both of Av's at the same time, and we were swamped and completely covered in both AV's and demons.
My team wipes, save for me and the tank. The tank is dropping in HP fast, and Im sustaining myself purely on my drain life ability, and drain psyche. Finally the tank takes down Infernal with my help, and then dies.
So I am alone...and the rest of the team is at the hospital heading back. Alone, and a blaster is never good. So Im firing my blasts at Diabolique, and since Im more a blasttroller than a blaster, when my team arrived they found her with half life, and held completely still (Until she phases out) but still, she was half dead, and had full life before.
The tank praised me for 1 being not dead, 2 for being not dead and not having lore pet available.
I know it's not as epic as others saving the day, but to me it was epic because I actually felt like I fended off something impossible. And it made me a hero! -

My current is Mephitdae or at least I am trying.
She is a Rad/Dark Corr.
She was a wildlife scientist, who was experimenting on a cure for a rabies infection that had spread throughout the Hollows. While conducting her research she was bitten by a rabid skunk, who had been treated with her special vaccine and radiation.
So she injected herself with her serum, gaining, the proportionate strength, agility and senses of a skunk, and allowing her to user her bioelecrical field to form her bio-toxic skunk bolts!
Since skunks are nocturnal she has also developed some control over darkness.
It's a theme!
