I imagine that's how my entire team feels whenever I run in and use BU>FE>LR>Burn>Fire Ball on my Elec/Fire/Fire scrapper.

I tend not to team my DB scrapper any more. I built her entirely around cone attacks, and it seems like every time I team, there's some immob-happy controller that wants to make a constellation out of the enemies, so that I can't get more than two in a cone. Might be great for their damage, but it kills mine, so I wind up being that scrapper that doesn't stay with the team, or else fight one or two things at a time and wish it was five.

My Earth/Psi dom felt that way, whenever the difficulty was too low.

"Here, let me drop this, and this, and then this one, and then I'll charge in and kill everything... wait, guys? Guys? DAMMIT."

The defense debuffs (slotted up, I don't remember why I did that) in quicksand and earthquake generally meant white or yellow mobs evaporate on most teams. So after quicksand-earthquake-stalagmites, I'd usually charge into melee to fire off DP and attacks only to find nothing left.

And then the Elec Shield scrapper 1-ups you with a BU/SC/LR. (and maybe a fireball too if there's anything left standing)

I dunno if that does so much more damage since the SC nerf and buffs to FE and Burn, to the point where I'd venture the fire would do more damage, to make up for its relative smooshiness

That's why i tend to alternate between Stalamites+Stone cages and Quicksand+Earthquake...that and so i can normally have one of them up for most every fight.

That'll do, pig. That'll do.

Ice Dominator. Ice Slick does pretty much nothing on any team with a Controller spamming AoE immobilizes.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

Considering Burn's still small range and dot, elec/shield's combo still plays out faster. And Shield Charge does more damage than Burn overall, simply by the virtue of hitting 3 times as many enemies (SC hits 16, burn hits 5). Granted FE does give an edge in damage, but the recharge makes it not as frequently usable than the elec/shield combo.

The advantage of burn is that it's up slightly more than 3 times as often (and you also have fiery aura), but that's more of high damage over time, as opposed to sheer burst damage.

On my namesake Bots/FF Mastermind I usually roll with...

Target Middle of Pack -> Web Envelope -> Order Bots to Attack -> Profit

... since the Assault Bot/Battle Drones will melt the spawn and the Protector Bots stun them while they're still standing.

Alas, the moment I'm on a team I invariably find a Elec/Shield combo wiping the spawn before my Web Envelope has even landed!

So there I am setting up an Assassin's Strike

Then the other Melee charges in with LR, and naturally Ice Mistral open up with Ice Storm.

Why does Teaming hate Stalkers so much?

Sniper Rifle and Trip Mine. And Time Bomb. Oh, Ghod, and Time Bomb...

My Dark/Dark fender feels this way almost every time he teams. It's like he's almost better just leaving leadership on and cycling the primary without bothering with the blast, the output feels that anemic.

This happens to most every set somewhere. See also, Fire Breath, Thunder Strike, Total Focus, Shadow Maul, Eviscerate et al.

Nothing to do with sets, but my teammates/SG always ruin my fun when I try to "dance taunt" the mobs from behind one of those glass doors. I usually get a laugh out of most people when they see me dancing behind the door with a hug angry mob on the other side. I usually do this when my fellow teammates are rebuffing up. But someone always has to be the first to open all doors and all of a sudden my dance is ruined by incoming fire.

It's why I don't play my Rad defender any more. By the time Radiation Infection and Lingering Radiation and Enervating Field are on the enemies, they are all dead.

So, I had a radiation defender with fallout and vengeance. And, then, people weren't dying.

I cried.

True story.

I usually skip RI and LR, and just put out EF, hit the "next target" keybind, and start blasting. If things are dying that fast, they obviously didn't need the other toggles anyway.

As for Stalkers... I got off Assassin's Shock on Ice Mistral last night through her Blizzard - the only mob that gave me trouble was Black Scorpion with his AoEs due to Rage pushing his +to-hit up - but that's a soft-capped ElM/Nin. I can imagine that my EM/WP would have a bit more trouble. But generally, I don't bother with AS on anything smaller than an EB on teams - there's little point since it'd be overkill anyway.

Speaking of EM and overkill... nothing quite like losing health to hit that corpse that your teammates destroyed while you're locked in the animation time for Energy Transfer.

Everyone hates that Peacebringer.

(However, you haven't really hated him until you're an Electric Controller. Hurray for knocking everything out of the -endurance aura, knockdown chain, and range of contagious confusion, while simultaneously robbing me of an easy source of endurance and regen).

My Fire/Earth Dom has Sleet. I did an STF the other day with an Earth Dom. Every pull STONE CAGES STONE CAGES STONE CAGES. I said in team chat that, hey, you're hurting more than you are helping. He didn't get why. I explained it. Stone cages stopped for the rest of the mission. They resumed the following one.

I swear he was doing it to piss me off.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stone caged mobs in his earth quake.

Before I got the Energy APP, this was me every time I tried to use Total Focus. Now that I have the Energy APP, I'm the guy everyone hates XD

Friends tell me it's fun to watch me from a distance. Bodies go flying everywhere.

(It's actually not that bad. Energy Torrent only causes Knockdown, and Explosive Blast knocks in one direction as long as I'm not standing in the middle of everything)

Could just be a long-time Controller player who hasn't gotten out of the 'extra damage if everything is immobilized!' mentality. Not that it would justify him ignoring the tip (unless there were Controllers on the team or running mobs were a big issue,) but that's about the only explanation I can think of. Spamming AoE immobilizes is often more annoying than it is helpful, since the people most prone to doing it don't seem to understand waiting until things are vaguely gathered up.
