Does anyone here even LIKE comic books?
Really, I'm a Virtue player myself and I don't see that many vampires. Of those I have spotted even fewer allude to that particular franchise that must not be named. Of course, I tend to spend my time smashing bad guys in the face rather than roleplaying.

Vampires are fairly common, but then again, they are in comics too, so...
"Men strunt r strunt och snus r snus
om ock i gyllne dosor.
Och rosor i ett sprucket krus
r stndigt alltid rosor."
There's hundreds of the things on Union. Luckily, most of them hang out in Pocket D so they're reasonably easy to avoid.

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Some are good folks, some less so. However, I have a well publisised hate of vampires OOCly, so the further ANYTHING vampire like is away from me, the better!

I'd like to add to Ironblade's comment that, Ironblade is on Inifinity server and part of an excellent Super Group that, while not an RP group, has been very friendly and helpful in my several years being here. You are welcome to come seek out us out and enjoy the evening.

Fun fact:
Archaic terms for "Man" and "Woman" were "Werman" and "Wifman". "Man" referred to the human in general, while the "Wif" or "Wer" was the gender prefix. It's for this same reason that words like "Handyman" and "Fireman" were gender neutral for a long time. The word "Werewolf" stems from "Werman" - it literally means "Man-wolf". As such, if you really want to use the PC terms for the -wolves, "Wifwolf" is the term I'd use for a female werewolf.
Also, "Wifwolf" sounds amazing. Or maybe it's "Wifewolf"?

Back then "boy" meant "servant", as in "Fetch that for me, boy."
and just to add to the confusion of modern people, at the time male children were traditionally dressed in pink, and female children in blue.

Lack of vampires in comics? You guys obviously never read The Swamp Thing series, lol. That was actually the series that got me into collecting comics as a kid. My collection now collects dust in my garage. Was funny when vampires bit Swamp Thing, they'd be eeeewwww!
Besides that though I remember vampires popping up all through comics. Pretty sure I have one with Superman turned into one.
Anyway yeah the MMORPG setting kind of takes away from the overall "I'm a superhero/villain" when you have so many equals. Nothing you can really do about that though. At heart it is still a game and must function as a game where everyone has equal footing. Who'd play COH if we were all pedestrians.
There was one comic book that kind of reminds me of COH. It was called Dial H for Hero where they featured a new superhero every week I think. You got your superpowers through the phone or something, lol.
Who couldn't love Golden Age comics with such gems as these in them-
Kind of like closing the barn door after the rest of the structure burned down.
(Incidentally, have you run into Elric since you're in his home town? The jerk owes me twelve gold royals. Arioch be cursed, but that lad is bad about his debts.)
Dr. Todt's theme.

The Silver Age is where most of the well-known cheese comes from, not the Golden Age, which has an entirely different sort of cheese (mainly consisting of Designated Heroes being absolutely brutal to villains, even normal human thugs). To contrast: Silver Age cheese would be Superman being a jerk to Jimmy Olsen in order to protect his secret identity or to teach him a lesson; Golden Age cheese would be Superman threatening to throw a wife-beating man out the window if he doesn't stop, or in several cases actually killing criminals with no repercussions (either legal or ethical).
